A Handful of Love for You

A Handful of Love for You
3. First Meeting

Alena POV's

Not one month teaching at this University, I have been mandated to guide some students who are mentored by my colleague, Ms. Syafrina who is on maternity leave. There were a total of six students I had to guide. Today I asked the six of them to face me simultaneously, four students and two students.

For our first meeting, I asked them to meet me at once as time efficiency because in an hour I had to attend a lecturer meeting.

I noticed one student in too casual clothes sitting at the far left. I don't really like his attitude that is too indifferent and disrespectful seen from the way he dresses. He does look very handsome and cool with long hair, sharp eyes as sharp as an eagle, a strict nose and jaw line, sexy lips and casual clothes. Suppose he wasn't the final student I was mentoring maybe I'd be a little fascinated by his looks. Uh, why do I have this kind of mind anyway.

“I am your guidance counselor, replacing Miss Syafrina who is on maternity leave. Today I ask you to report how far you have worked on each thesis. I only have 30 minutes today for you. I hope you can report your thesis progress effectively and efficiently to me. Please who wants to report the progress of the script.”

“Mom only gave the six of us 30 minutes to report our thesis progress. How can we report it in just 5 minutes for each person?” the gondrong student protest. I don't know what his name is yet.

I take a breath and breathe it out slowly. I don't want to be provoked by emotions because of the impolite words of the student. My admiration for him automatically disappeared without a trace. I don't like people who say disrespectful, whoever it is. One of my bad qualities is that if at the beginning of the meeting I already did not like someone then it would be difficult for me to like that person in the future. This song student managed to make himself included in the list of humans who would be difficult for me to like. Forget about my momentary admiration.

“This is our first meeting. I just want to know in general your thesis progress so I can schedule and plan your guidance period.” I spoke straight without looking at the annoying gondrong student.

“Should, if today Mother does not have enough time for us, Mother can schedule another time,” said the annoying gondrong student once again filed a protest.

I tried to ignore his words and asked the other students to start reporting their thesis progress one by one.

“Please Adelia, you start reporting your progress!” my orders are to a student named Adelia.

That shitty gondrong screeched cynically because I didn't serve him.

The student named Adelia started reporting on the progress of the script and I listened seriously.

After Adelia was done, I mentioned the names of the other students in my notes. One by one, I called the students and reported their thesis progress. So far there have been no protests from other students and my interactions with them were well established until the last time I mentioned the name of that annoying gondrong.

“Atep Dananjaya!” I mentioned the name of the person I currently hate the most. I realized I shouldn't have feelings of resentment towards my students that would negatively affect the guidance process later but I couldn't like this human being before me. He sat at the far left end close to the door of the room so I had to sit a little in a snarl to be able to face him.

“No need to wear such a tinge as well, Bu.”

I strengthened my heart so that my emotions would not explode in front of the other guidance students.

“The time I gave you is only 5 minutes away. Please if you want to report it now. But if you do not want, no problem for me,” my word still sounds ketus.

“Do not make it hard, too, Bu.”

“You..”.

“Iya, Ma..., this I want to report.”

I breathed out violently. Looks like I have to add a patient stock to deal with this one human songong.

The annoying gondrong began to report on the progress of his script that would advance to chapter 3. I honestly began to admire again this songong man if my hatred is not as big as a mountain. He reported in clear and clear language. The explanation is short and in one listen I have understood what he wants to do for his research.

But it seems like the hatred that is in my heart now covers the advantages that the gondrong nyebelin has.

“Good. I have understood a little what you want to do with your thesis. Next meeting, I'll inform you later. Thank you for your presence today.”

All of my tutoring students thanked me before leaving my room except for that annoying gondrong. She immediately got up from her seat and walked out of my room without a word. I'm not a crazy person for gratitude, but I think the ethics of a student to their lecturer who has taken time for them is to say thank you. I also did not forget to thank those who had attended the first meeting.

“Basic gondrong nyebelin who has no ethics. Basic student less morals,” rutukku in the heart.
