Chapter 98: The Vampire and The Sun (2)

In the dance hall, two figures were facing each other.

Holding his Rapier tightly, Allucard stared intently at Oriens who was ready with his Greatsword.

None of them moved. They just stood there with their gazes locked onto each other.

"General of the Sun of the East, Oriens El Orientalis"

Seeing that Oriens had introduced himself, Allucard was forced to mention his name because he also knew what courtesy was.

"Blood Hunter, Allucard"

After introducing himself, Allucard noticed that Oriens was grinning at him.

Instantly the Greatsword that Oriens was holding lit up red. Pointing it towards Allucard, Oriens said.

With those words as a signal, their fight began.

The first to act was of course Oriens.

Kicking the floor firmly, he shot towards Allucard at a high speed that could never have been expected with such a heavy Armor. His now red-flamed greatsword left

the trail of fire as the sword was swung.

Responding to this Allucard is no less fast. Using (Blood Sheath) from [Blood Magic] Allucard coated his Rapier with his own blood. Right after he did that, a smoldering red Greatsword was already right before his eyes.

Successfully dodging sideways, Allucard must again avoid further attacks launched by Oriens. After dodging four times, Allucard finally found a gap in the Oriens defense and without hesitation immediately launched a counterattack.

As if waiting for this moment, Oriens did not use his Greatsword to fend off Allucard's attack but instead used his right hand to resist the attack from Allucard.

Allucard smiled.

When his Rapier was blocked by the Gauntlet that Oriens was wearing, suddenly the blood lining Rapier broke which shocked Oriens. From the broken blood, Rapier Allucard instantly changed direction and was now piercing

straight towards Oriens pretty face.

The sound of metal clashed loudly as their swords clashed against each other.

Because the (Overheat) that Oriens activated made Allucard unable to fight swords for too long with him. Trying to stay away, but the Oriens won't allow it.

The two of them attacked each other for a while. And in that short time Allucard's previously pale skin has now burned red.

Can not stand it anymore, Allucard directly uses (Blood Wave) which produces blood waves that sweep everything around it.

Normally this skill will tear all the opponents who hit it. But in the case of the Oriens he can still stand firm as if it was nothing to him. In fact, the Blood Wave (Blood Wave) that Allucard released instantly evaporated a second after they touched the surface of the Armor Oriens.

Right after Oriens made it out of the castle safely, the Sun Castle that had been his residence for less than a month had now burned to the ground before finally collapsing to the ground.

Looking towards a hill not far from the Castle, Oriens found the figure of Allucard had been standing there staring at him with his red eyes before finally turning around and disappearing behind the hill.

"Well... I failed well"

Imagining what punishment he would receive, Oriens took the medal he had stored in his pocket. It was the medal His Majesty gave after he became a member of the Four Great Generals.

Staring at the medal, Oriens threw it high into the air before finally slashing it with his Greatsword that was still burning red.

Watching the halved medal fall to the ground, Oriens immediately turned away.

"I'd rather be a fugitive than a monster of the ugly"

Dismissing his golden Armor, the Oriens' goal was to head North.
