A Journey Of A Delusional Witch

A Journey Of A Delusional Witch
Chapter 81: The Opening Scenes

General of the Southern Plain, Auster El Austellus.

At the age of 20 years he had already managed to master third level magic, [Terra Magic]. Which instantly led him to his position as one of the four great Generals in the Narsist Kingdom.

Wearing a brown Full Armor decorated with gold and jewels, Auster tightly grasped his Battle Axe while looking at the dense forest before him.

With a total of 100,000 soldiers given by His Majesty the King to him, Auster must be able to break through the defenses of the Sanguine Kingdom and open the way for the main army to invade the Kingdom

all along it had been a barrier to the ideals of the Narsist Kingdom.

Although he had been promised a mountain of gold and jewels and a room full of beautiful virgins as a reward for his success, Auster knew that his task this time was not easy.

The borders of the Sanguine Kingdom were already well known for their ability to mislead anyone with ill intentions. Although there is no solid wall or fort that is full of guards who can

obstructing it, but a dense forest full of illusions was definitely not something that could be taken lightly even for him.

Moreover, the person who made the border of the Sanguine Kingdom to have this ability was none other than the Queen of Spirits (Spirit), Her Majesty Queen Cascade herself.

His magic power in the fields is so extraordinary that if in a fight with all Witches (Witch) from Sol Ciel, the, Queen Cascade is guaranteed to come out victorious without any dust sticking to her smooth skin.

Even if he and his army had been equipped with artifacts from ancient ruins though, still not necessarily his army could win against the troops of the Sanguine Kingdom who had lived for hundreds of years and continuously sharpened their combat strength.

Despite knowing all that, Auster had to keep doing his job and come back with a win.

"All troops! Wander!"

Lifting his Battle Axe high into the air, his screams loudly and clearly echoed all over.

Every soldier who heard the command of the General immediately stood up straight and lined up neatly.

"First team, Forward! It's jalaan!!!"

Separating from the main army, a total of 10,000 soldiers marched forward towards the Sanguine Kingdom.

Led by a Captain who had been directly selected by Auster, the first troops marched in a neat formation and unhesitatingly extended their feet into the battlefield.

The sound of footsteps echoed over the hot sand that was now beginning to turn into dry and arid ground. With the green forest already in sight, it was only a few hundred meters away before they finally touched the land of the Sanguine Kingdom.

General Auster was very confident in the ability of his troops who had been trained with discipline and hard work.

Although the first troops were sent forward solely as bait to see the reaction of the enemy, he believed that at least the first troops were able to inflict considerable damage on the opposing team.

Even so, I don't know why Auster got the feeling that this battle would not be an easy battle.

And his hunch was immediately answered.

"YESOMEJE!!!!"

From within the forest, a rain of arrows and magic flew right towards the Narsist Kingdom army that was already right at the edge of the forest.

In response to this, the first troops led by their Captain did not falter and immediately raised their shields high to welcome the incoming attack.

With a shield made of the finest metal and forged by the renowned Blacksmith in Narsist Kingdom, the first troops easily resisted the onslaught of the alliance troops hiding within the forest.

Seeing that their attack was ineffective, the alliance troops who came to attack immediately took a step back towards their stronghold.

Feeling no more attacks coming, the Captain of the first army ordered his troops to move back forward into the forest.

Auster who saw that the initial attack was just a bluff, just a bluff, knowing full well that the Sanguine Kingdom's side was only trying to figure out how strong his army was just like him sending the first troops to know the ability of his opponent.

Seeing that they had immediately retreated after launching a single attack, a suspicion grew in Auster's heart.

"Do they have a plan?"

Auster knew full well that the weak attack was definitely not the best ability of the Sanguine Kingdom. With the enemy troops immediately retreating after one attack is very suspicious to make him intend to investigate immediately.

However, as a General as well as the main leader of the 100,000 troops, Auster could not be arbitrary in taking action. Feeling that there was nothing he could do now, he could only remain silent in the hope that the Captain and the first troops would be able to return and bring victory.

Until the next day, the first troops still did not return. Since there was no word from them at all, the first army has now been declared destroyed.

...

Standing above the gate of the fort are the Chief Bearnard, Prince Draco, and Queen Titania.

The three of them stood there looking at the scene below them.

Right in front of the gate of the fortress was a pile of bodies from what was once an army sent by the Narsist Kingdom. Of the originally 10,000 trained troops, now there was nothing left of them.

Their bodies are now being collected into one large pile before finally being buried en masse. Of course all the Equipment and Items they had had been confiscated and were being investigated for fear that there would be a dangerous cursed item if it was stored away.

And Bearnard will pretend not to see the behavior of his men who take some bodies for later in the 'post' at the entrance of the forest as a decoration.

"Although their resistance to magic is very troublesome, their personal abilities are not so amazing"

"You said that, Prince Draco. If it wasn't for the strategy you suggested then I'm sure that the previous battle wouldn't have been this easy"

"I agree with Chief Bearnard. The previous battle was able to go smoothly it was all thanks to you"

"Oh, you two are too complimentary"

Seeing the many scratches on the surface of the fort as well as the ground in front of the fort that was no longer flat, saying how fierce the battle that had just occurred.

However, the damage caused is still minimal by only causing injuries from the alliance while all enemy forces have been lost without remaining.

All of this could happen thanks to the strategy suggested by Prince Draco.

The strategy starts with sending the Otherworlder group to deliver the opening attack. Aside from being a declaration of war, the opening attack was also aimed at figuring out how strong the opponents they were about to face were.

Finished providing the opening attack, they immediately retreated deep into the forest while fishing for troops from Narsist Kingdom to follow them.

The army of the Narsist Kingdom that had just been attacked would naturally not just stand idly by and start chasing the Otherworlder group into the forest.

By the time they were busy chasing, it was too late to find out that they had been in a trap all along.

Not denying that it was a comedic occurrence when the originally gallantly advancing Narsist Kingdom army was forced to stop when their faces hit an invisible wall very hard.

As the Spirits lowered their illusory veils, a tall wooden wall loomed right before them.

The Narsist Kingdom troops who did not know that there was a fortress in the forest obviously became dumbfounded because the fort seemed to just appear before them.

The captain of the Narsist Kingdom army deftly immediately sent someone to retreat and inform the Main army of this discovery. Only to find that their path to retreat had been closed by the Otherworlder troops who had been waiting for a while hiding behind the thick forest.

A sturdy fortress before them and an immortal army behind them.

Finding that they had been surrounded, the troops from the Narsist Kingdom had no other choice but to fight it out while looking for an opening to retreat and report this to General Auster.

Unfortunately, even though they had been equipped with the best Equipment the Kingdom could provide, the first troops of the Narsist Kingdom inevitably had to meet their demise.

Seeing his men fall down one by one, the Captain of the first army who saw that there was no hope immediately grabbed an item from his pocket and activated it.

Instantly his body gave off an intimidating reddish aura and gave off an evil impression. A second later he let out a cry of agony as the Armor he was wearing began to fuse with his body.

If left unchecked, then the Captain of the first army would turn into a giant monster with a skin surface made of powerful Armor that exceeded even Mithril.

That is if he is allowed to change until it is finished.

The Otherworlders who are familiar with villains who have a second phase like this will obviously not be silent while watching their enemies finish changing. Simultaneously they began to focus the attack

their magic and arrows towards the Captain of the first army.

Having his changes interrupted, the Captain of the first army becomes even more tormented when the pain he suffers must multiply.

In closing, the strongest Adventurer from the Otherworlder side. Chairman of Party The Guardian, Doragon. Advancing gallantly and successfully beheading the Captain of the first army that is still not finished changed.

The rest of the Troops that saw their headless Captain and his body instantly melt away were clearly no longer in the spirit to fight.

"Say, what do we have to do to deal with the prisoners?"

"Hmrs... Of the approximately 10,000 troops now there are fewer than 400. Even though their numbers were small and all of their Equipment had been stripped away, it was still too dangerous to let them remain in

this land"

The advice of the Bearnard Chieftain was easily approved. The prisoners of the Narsist Kingdom will soon be taken to Ferox Kingdom before they are sold into slavery.

"Stay, is there no rule here where if you've lost 30% of your army then it's tantamount to losing?"

Hearing the question from the Chief of the Bearnard Tribe, Queen Titania and Prince Draco were both shocked.

"Oh, does Otherworlder have that habit?"

"Interesting, with it the number of fatalities can be reduced..."

Although this fact is very interesting for both of them, but simultaneously they also know that this is impossible to implement in their world.

"It seems that morals in your world are highly upheld. But baby, the same cannot be said of this world"

"I see, I won't force it then"

Seeing that the cleaning activity was over, the three of them immediately returned to their respective rooms to rest while preparing for the next battle.

...

Perched on a tree branch was Feline who wore all-black clothes that helped her in mingling with the darkness of the night.

With his cat's eyes he staked out the condition of the Narsist Kingdom troops who were still on standby in the desert area. Even after a day of not receiving news from the troops they sent into the forest, there was still no visible significant movement from the Narsist Kingdom.

It looks like tents have been set up as a place for troops to rest. It also looks like the biggest and most luxurious tent is standing in the middle of the campground. Needless to say, it was the main tent where their Commander was.

Unfortunately they were in an empty desert area with nothing to use as a hiding place. Not to mention the surveillance around the campground is very tight which makes it difficult for Feline to infiltrate for information or directly kill their Commander.

Feline's ears twitched when she heard the rustling sound of leaves from behind her.

Looking back with her hand that was already close to touching the black Dagger she was hiding, Feline was relieved when she found out that it was a Beastman from the Leopard tribe who was her ally.

"What's the situation?"

"There's still no movement"

"I see, you can go back now. I'll replace you standing guard here"

"Thank you"

Changing positions with the Leopard, Feline returned to the fortress by jumping from tree to tree like a Ninja.

It didn't take long for him to arrive back at the fortress that not too long ago had just experienced his first battle. There is no visible damage on the surface of the fort. Makes Feline wonder if this fort is really made of wood.

Passing through the guards, it was easy for Feline to be allowed in since her Beastman self was unlikely to be on the enemy side.

After reporting the results of his surveillance to his superiors, Feline is now free from his duties for the day and is allowed to perform any activity as long as it is still within the fort area.

Finding himself unemployed, Feline could have infiltrated Doragon's room to ask for affection. But there was one more thing he had to do before he could finally be free to joke around with Doragon.

Passing through the soldiers who were still on guard despite the late night, Feline finally arrived at a corner of the fortress that had been transformed as a workshop.

It was in this workshop where they parked the Tank that would be the main surprise in the war this time. Feline heard that there were actually three Tanks in total that had been produced. But only one of them is in this fortress

while the other two will come along with reinforcements that will arrive in about a month.

"Ughs... I'm still wondering where they can have oil in this world"

Closing her sensitive nose, Feline walked into the deserted workshop as all of the occupants were either asleep or were Logging Out.

All residents except two.

In the corner of the workshop there is a special room with a cloth bulkhead that separates it from the area where the Tank is parked. The lights are still burning from behind the cloth bulkhead which shows two shadows.

Passing through the cloth-covered Tank, Feline stopped right in front of the cloth bulkhead.

"Who's there?"

There was the sound of a sweet girl coming from behind the cloth. In response, Feline straightened her body and introduced herself.

"My name is Feline from The Guardian. Request permission to meet"

"Please enter"

Revealing the cloth before him, Feline went inside and was greeted by two women.

The first was the Witch of Holy Light, Rosemary La Ciel. The other was his student, Clara.

The witch Rosemary was sitting behind a table with various blueprints and illustrations scattered before her. Meanwhile his disciple Clara faithfully stood beside him.

Seeing the face of Rosemary who was indeed very similar to the Lavender Witch, made Feline finally convinced that the two of them really had a blood relationship.

"Okay, Feline from The Guardian. It was a good decision for you to immediately finish off your opponent before they changed completely"

"You're too complimentary. All we did was follow the teachings of our predecessors"

"Oh, so you guys have been educated like that. Goody. So, what is it until you visit me these nights?"

Feline was silent for a while before finally taking a respectful position like the one she had trained in not too long ago.

"One more time, introduce. Yasmin Feline, servant of the Great Lord Oleander. I'm here on Miss Lavender's orders regarding the agreement you've made with the Mechanics"

Hearing this, Rosemary was shocked. He who was originally sitting somewhat leisurely now started to straighten his back and gave a sharp look. Seeing her Master taking a serious position, Clara also stood up straight with her eyes pointed forward.

"Servant of Uncle Oleander well. I did not expect that Uncle had sent his subordinates here. Well, considering that Big Brother Lavender is here, then I guess that's only natural... So, what exactly is Brother

Lavender wants to know?"

"Miss Lavender wanted to know where Miss Rosemary actually first learned about Tanks and other modern weaponry"

"So that's it... It's easy, Uncle Oleander taught me about it"

This time it was Feline's turn to be surprised.

Seeing Feline's expression, the Rosemary Witch smiled.

"Hehe, No need to be surprised, not even my Grandma knows about this"

While saying that, the Witch Rosemary took out an outdated magazine from hers.

Although the cover is shabby and begins to be difficult to read, but the picture shown there can still be seen clearly.

"Military magazine?"

"Right, a souvenir from Uncle Oleander when I visited Sister Lavender's house"

With this answered already all the questions that were in Feline's head. Even this was more than enough to explain Rosemary's exuberant attitude when she saw Tank for the first time.

"The Brother is crazy about magic while the Brother is crazy about firearms?"

"Hehe, quite ironic right?"

With his goals fulfilled, Feline also resigned.

After seeing Feline leave, Clara ventured to ask.

"Teacher, who exactly is Oleander you're talking about?"

"Oh, shouldn't you have guessed? He's Lavender's brother's father. A true Devil (Demon) that not even Grandma can defeat"
