At the southernmost part of Ferox Kingdom, there stood a city called Taurus City.
Standing face to face with the Barriere Forest, Taurus City was built as the first wall if only the Drakon Kingdom came to invade as well as a border city that recorded the entry and exit of the population
of two Kingdoms.
Because of their position which is very far from the Capital, making the residents in Taurus City live in peace even though the war is ongoing.
However, that peace becomes disturbed when the Barriere Forest instantly changes in just one night.
The originally green forest had now turned into a bright violet. The atmosphere of the forest that was originally beautiful is now turning into gripping. Some people even claimed that they had heard a very loud roar from the Barriere Forest right before the forest changed.
This makes residents panic about the possibility of an upcoming Wave threatening their lives.
For the sake of knowing what was really going on, the Union had sent Adventurers especially the Otherworlders to go investigate.
Of all that was sent, however, only the Otherworlder returned. They returned after rising from the dead.
From their confessions, they were suddenly attacked without being able to know what exactly was attacking them.
A few days later, the team that entered through the main road finally returned safely without anyone being injured.
It was thus decided that the only safe passage was through the main road connecting the two Kingdoms.
After the news spread, the people became a little relieved. However, the main problem remains unresolved.
"How are we going to survive from now on?"
Not a few of the city residents who depend their lives on the Barriere Forest. Especially the Adventurers who often make the Barriere Forest as their hunting ground.
Amid busy people turning their brains around, some groups felt optimistic about this...
...
Entering the now-sealed Barriere Forest area, a group of more than 50 people walked in the middle of the forest fully armed.
Each member of the group is a Beastman. Whether it is pure or mixed blood. Leading them was a pure Beastman from the Beetle Tiger tribe.
Wearing Light Armor over his dark hair, the Tigers lead his men down the deepest part of the forest.
"Hey, boss, is the boss sure about this?"
Ask a cat girl of mixed blood. His face seemed anxious about the actions they were doing. His trembling hand ceaselessly grasped the handle of his sword as if ready to pull it at any moment.
"You don't have to be afraid. We're not too far from the main road. We just have to find a suitable place to do the ambush and wealth
it's coming for us"
True, they were a bandit group that intended to rob anyone who passed the main road. Moreover, since this was the only safe way, it made them see this as a golden opportunity that should not be missed.
Unable to fight his boss, the Cat Girl can only relentlessly follow every direction from him.
After finding a suitable place, the bandits immediately put up a simple tent as their resting place.
It took time for them to put up a tent on the uneven ground. Being too busy, none of them realized anything strange.
The sun was already high in the sky when their little campground was ready. The Tiger Beetle ordered his men to line up to make it easier to give directions.
"Hm? Where did the little Dog and Lion go?"
The other bandits looked back and forth in search of their invisible comrade. After a while, they still did not show up.
"Boss! Their figures were not found"
"Nothing is missing!"
"We can't find any trace of them!
"Their scent just disappeared too!"
Finding this unusual situation, fear began to envelop the bandits. The Tigers immediately recalled a recent rumor saying that anyone entering the forest was not from the main road
it will disappear and never come back.
He initially only assumed that the people who disappeared were only fleeing because they did not want to go to war or were unlucky and met with dangerous Mobs.
But, now...?
"Boss, the main road is right in plain sight. Should we run away?"
Approached by the Cat Girl who had drawn her sword, the Tigers began to consider her options.
"Boss! Lothawat! The Rhino and Gorilla also suddenly disappeared?!"
"What!"
Finding that their comrades had disappeared without a trace, a panic spread that made the remaining bandits finish their weapons. Due to the absence of any visible enemy figures, they simply circled in place while brandishing their weapons in all directions.
Seeing the behavior of his men shameful, making the Tiger Beetle can no longer hold his emotions.
"Based on a feather ball! Calm down and turn your back on each other!"
""Ba-good!!!""
Gaining direction, the initially panicked bandits began to calm themselves down and began to lean their backs against each other with a determination ready to fight.
The Tigers Beetle who resuscitated his back to the Cat Girl looked around him closely.
All that was visible was the violet forest shining like a dim light. His sharp smell was not able to sniff out any foreign odors or other scents that might have been left behind by their opponents who were still unknown how he looked.
"Boss... How's next?"
Whispering, the Cat Girl asked what steps they should take.
They don't know what they are fighting. They did not even know how their comrades had disappeared in the blink of an eye.
Since they chose a suitable place to set up an ambush, naturally they chose a place that allowed them to observe the main road clearly. As the only safe passage in this forest, escaping towards the main road was the only option for them to survive.
Their distance from the main line is only 20 meters. If running, depending on which tribe they came from, running there was a very easy thing for them.
"Towards the main road! RUN!!"
Leaving their belongings in the tent, all the bandits immediately ran towards the main road at full speed. For those from tribes that excelled in speed like the Cat and Dog tribes, they were able to run so fast that they were able to get to the main road in the blink of an eye.
What was surprising was, even though the Tigers were running first. But he was overtaken by the Cat Girl who was up to two steps faster than him.
A few steps later, one by one the other bandits arrived at the main road and immediately took a sigh of relief.
After the 12 of them reached the main road, no one else caught up with them.
"Boss!"
Seeing his men pointing into the forest, the Tigers followed the direction his men pointed. What he saw next was something beyond common sense.
The slow-moving bandit members found themselves entangled by a kind of vines tightly wrapped around their bodies like snakes wrapped around their prey.
With just one pull, the bandits are entangled in the pull into deep into the forest until their figure is no longer visible.
Everyone who saw this finally knew. What attacked them was none other than this forest itself.
The bandit who was unable to accept what he had just witnessed fell down on the ground while continuing to hold his head. The others just stood there as if he was still unable to process what he had
they just saw.
Although his men were displaying something embarrassing to a Beastman, the Tigers let them down because he himself did not want to believe what he had just seen.
"Boss..."
After being awakened by the Cat Girl, the Tiger Beetle tried to calm itself. Due to the precarious situation, he would not say anything about the Cat Girl who had just soaked herself.
"Better... We go back to the city and report the matter to the Union. At least we can get a prize... In this way, their sacrifice was not in vain"
None of his men refused his invitation. Moreover, every one of them only wanted to get out of this cursed forest immediately.
Not long after that, though, information about the Barriere Forest which turns out to be a living forest is widespread to make the Barriere Forest a forbidden forest that can only be entered after obtaining a permit and can only be passed through the main road.
...
After the Master went wandering, the atmosphere of the house became very peaceful.
The other servants did their work diligently. The slaves obediently performed their duties even though the Master was not present. The Visitors who came were also eagerly trying to conquer the Dungeon that the Master created.
"Senior Lif, the supplies for making Equipment are up"
"Alright, you're allowed to go into town to buy supplies"
"Ah, if you go to the city. Please pin this Potion. Take it to Union!"
Efta who replaced Master to produce Potions for sale, entrusted his work to Quin who was about to leave for the city to buy supplies.
After receiving the one containing the Potion, Quin immediately departed.
Since my business with them was done, I returned to the Master's house which had now been transformed into a large Mansion with three floors.
This makes the process of cleaning the house more difficult.
Fortunately I was helped by two Master slaves who were originally in charge of guarding the underground Prison. Since the prison is now empty, I have been assigned to clean the house with myself and Phyte.
By the time I entered the house, I was immediately greeted by my sister, Pyhte. Who ran towards me in a hurry.
"What's the matter, in such a hurry?"
"Sister, Acht said please meet him"
Acht, the most recent Master Servant in charge of overseeing the entire Master's domain. If he said to meet her, then it meant that something was unusual.
Inside the personal space of Acht which at once served as a watchdog room, sat a Golem whose entire body was filled with dozens of wide-open eyes as if watching over everything. He was not wearing a single piece of clothing that allowed anyone to see his entire eye clearly. The room he was in was simple. There was only one bed and a chair facing
to a dresser with a large mirror attached to it. But, for some reason now there are piles of weapons in the form of swords and axes scattered beside him.
"What did you do to call me?"
"There's something that needs your attention"
Acht then pointed at the mirror glass in front of him that showed the scene in the dungeon.
The prison which was originally empty after the previous prisoners turned into (Zombie) and (Skeleton) is now filled again by new inmates.
They all consisted of a Beastman race wearing Equipment commonly worn by Adventurers. Other than Equipment, they did not appear to be carrying a single weapon. That's because what is possible is
their weapons had been seized by Acht and he took them into his room.
"You didn't take their Equipment?"
"With my power now, only their weapons can I take. If I want to take their Equipment, I have to go down there or get someone to manually remove that Equipment from their body"
"Then throw them into their cells and order Selvy and Vergy to go down and take their Equipment"
"All right, I'll do it right away"
The prisoners who initially kept shouting were now shocked by the appearance of a smoke that appeared out of nowhere. Some of them tried to cover their mouths so as not to inhale the smoke.
Eventually, they start to lose consciousness.
Convinced they were all asleep, Selvy and Vergy broke into the prison cell and began confiscating all Equipment from the prisoners.
By the time we thought everything was going well, something surprising happened.
Right in the next cell, appeared a magic circle that shone brightly. Not long after, the magic circle spewed out the other prisoners who were also from the Beastman race dressed as Adventurers.
They all seemed confused about what had just happened to them. After they realize Selvy and Vergy, they begin shouting at them for information and release them.
This obviously frightened Selvy and Vergy and retreated away from the new prisoners.
"Act..."
"Come it!"
back in the cell. The prisoners were surprised by the smoke before they lost consciousness.
Seeing that the situation was finally under control, I sighed.
"What else did Master do this time?"
"Masters... He couldn't possibly hold back all the Beastmen he encountered... Don't you?"
The master who went to his hometown in Sanguine Kingdom would definitely pass through Ferox Kingdom. With the Beastmen that started popping up like this, I don't want to imagine what
actually Master is doing it now.
"Hey, Lif. Are you here!"
The one who came in without knocking on the door was Percy. His arrival was very surprising because he who was supposed to be escorting the Master came here without wearing Armor and was only wearing an ordinary outfit.
"Percy! How can you be here? Is the Master back!?"
"Calm down, this is just what I'm gonna explain"
Hearing the explanation from Percy, Acht and I could only go silent without saying a word. All of that explains the arrival of the prisoners who were most likely Adventurers assigned to
investigate the Barriere Forest that has changed suddenly.
Not only that, the fact that Master had just added to his realm only gave me a headache.
"New territory... Should I also keep an eye on the situation there?"
"Ah, if that doesn't seem necessary. The master said that the forest works independently so no supervision is required"
Although he technically did not need to breathe, Acht still breathed a sigh of relief after learning that his task was not increasing anymore.
Even so, one must keep an eye on the prisoners who will surely continue to grow from now on.
"Do we have enough supplies for those prisoners?"
"Right, you don't know yeah? The prisoners will only get grass porridge and cold soup"
As the name suggests, grass porridge is just a grass that is mashed smooth and given water. While the soup given is made from wild vegetables picked by slaves.
"But... Hasn't all the plants in this forest changed? Is it safe to consume?"
"That's... I don't know"
"Just be calm, at most the Master will dance happily when he knows what effects the plants are giving here"
"Yes, I can imagine it"
"Almost forget, this is the Material that Master got. Where should I put it?"
"Give it to Sechs. He's in his workshop now"
"Okay, I'll be there"
Seeing Percy leave, Acht and I went back to discussing what we were going to do with the prisoners who were relentless in coming.
"Sorry, I forgot again!"
Not long gone, Percy's back.
This time he conveyed that the Master had given permission to all of his Servants to obtain a new Skill. Percy continued to give Acht a full bag (Magic Core) with a variety of qualities.
"This much?"
"Believe it or not, the prizes this time are distributed per individual. For Lif, Master allows you to use SP at will"
After saying that, Percy went back.
Not knowing what to say, Acht and I just ended up staring at each other.
A little while later, Acht began to consume the (Magic Core) that was given to him. Seeing this, I then looked at the list of any Skills I could obtain or improve further.
...
Coming out of the basement, I passed by the little one who had now been named Phyte. Phyte seemed to be busy cleaning the dust in the furniture.
"Hey, Phyte! Any time?"
"Ah, brother Percy. Yeah, what's up?"
"Not to be tense. Master says you can choose any skill you want to take"
"Eh, why?!"
"Explaining it will take a long time... Oh yeah, better just ask Lif. You can also ask for his opinion for any skill you should take"
After seeming doubtful, Phyte nodded and immediately went down to the basement to meet with Lif.
Continuing my business, I finally arrived at Sechs' Workshop.
Unlike usual, I couldn't hear the usual hammer knocking sound. Just going inside, I could already see Sechs who was sitting pensively looking at the burning furnace that was not burning.
"Hey Sechs! In truancy?"
"Percy's? What are you doing here?!!"
After recounting what happened, Sechs could only be silent with his mouth open. Not caring about it, I then took out all the Materials that Master had given me.
In just a matter of seconds, a pile of Material had filled almost the entire warehouse.
"This much?!"
The first stack has finished, it's time to take out the second one.
"There's more?!"
Done, I then took out another one ...
"Please forgive me"
"Just relax, this one's different"
What I took out this time was a huge pile of scales with a diameter of about 40-60cm which were all dark black and a bundle of gray-white hair.
"It... (Dragon Scale) and (Dragon Hair)?!"
"For this one, please make a set of Equipment"
"For whom?!"
"For Masters. Who else?"
"But, but, my skills won't be enough..."
Sechs hadn't finished talking yet, I threw a bag full of (Magic Core) right into his face.
"You're free to use it"
Before Sechs understood what was going on, I immediately left his Workshop.
I could hear his screams from inside the Workshop. Not heeding it, I then looked for the other Master Servants to immediately give their respective rations.
