A Journey Of A Delusional Witch

A Journey Of A Delusional Witch
Chapter 68: My Cute Disciple

Today I woke up just before sunrise.

The first thing I do when I wake up is make my bed. Although I am not the type of person who moves a lot during sleep, I will feel bad when I see a messy bed

even if only a little.

Finished making the bed, I packed my toiletries and headed straight for the river that ran right behind the dormitory where I was staying.

As usual, I was the only one who was in this place. If only I had waited after sunrise, this small river would have been filled with other girls who inhabited the same dormitory as me.

Dipping my toe into the cold stream of the river, I began to wash my entire body from head to toe until it was completely clean.

Because I have hair that is quite long, it is rather difficult to clean it especially to dry it.

Lastly, don't forget I also cleaned my tail.

After I finished cleaning my body in the river, I then wiped my body with a towel that I brought to dry before finally dressing my body with the same towel and wrapping my hair with a second, smaller towel.

Without feeling the sun has started to rise.

I who had finished washing myself immediately returned to the dormitory.

On the way back to my room, I passed by the other girls who had already woken up and were preparing to wash themselves into the river.

They all greeted each other and some were even busy waking up their friend who was still asleep in the room joking cheerfully to start their day happily.

None of them greeted me.

Well, it's only natural because this is what I want.

Having gotten used to it, I managed to walk back to my room without nudging the other girls who had started to fill the narrow hallway.

This was no easy matter considering my room was right at the end of the hallway on the fifth floor which was also the top floor of this dormitory.

Upon returning to the room, my body had dried up completely.

Without delaying any more time I immediately put on a plain black channel shirt which I then coated in a thick black robe. After combing my hair, then I put a small triangular hat on top

my head.

While carrying the textbooks I had prepared before I went to bed, not forgetting I took the plain wooden Staff leaning against the corner of the room before I finally exited the room towards the classroom.

Even though it is still morning, many people have started their activities.

They all wore triangular robes and hats just like me. Most of them have the same title as me.

Forest Dweller.

If out there this title means a lot, it's not the same as this place. In fact, this title is a title that must be owned by all the locals, or maybe more precisely I call the citizens of this city.

That's because the entire population of this city is or will be a Witch (Witch).

Sol Ciel's.

That was us.

We could be called a group, organization, or Guild. All of its members are Witches whose job is to maintain the balance of this world.

Whether it is the balance of nature or the balance between kingdoms. It is our duty to keep this world safe from disasters and conflicts that endanger many lives.

Even so, I who is still a Student only have one task.

Studying.

Walking leisurely in the shade of shady trees, I finally arrived in front of the school gate... Only to find a crowd with a senior Witch who used to serve as an instructor in the classroom stood amidst the students who were willing to enter the school gates.

Curious, I joined the crowd.

Listening to the instructor's explanation, I was surprised at what he had just said.

The Cardinal's chairman has returned.

The news regarding the Cardinal Chief obtaining the Quest directly from the Queen of Cascade clearly made an uproar throughout Sol Ciel. Moreover, he received the Quest right in the middle of the birth party of the Elf Royal Family. Make this news a topic of conversation for an entire month.

And now, after two more months, the Cardinal Chief has finally returned.

For the sake of welcoming him, all the disciples were asked to immediately gather in front of the entrance.

I mean the entrance here is the same as the City Gate if it is somewhere else.

Following the instructions from the instructor, I followed the other students to the entrance. While the other students began to line up neatly, I broke away and chose to stand alone in the shadows

the shady tree.

I'm used to it like this. Moreover, no one will rebuke me because no one can be aware of my existence.

With the exception of the Chief Cardinal, the Chairman of the Asterids, as well as Miss Rosemary.

Other than the three of them, no one could be aware of my existence and even I was sure that many of the students and instructors who taught did not know that I even existed.

More and more students began to gather and immediately entered the ranks.

Looking at the number of students who came, I am sure that this is already the total number of students that exist. Which means that all the students in Sol Ciel have gathered in front of the entrance.

Of course this made me wonder why they asked the students to gather in front of the entrance like this.

It is true that welcoming the Cardinal Chairman is a must. But usually only the Senior Magicians would welcome him and not us students.

Although many people have gathered, I do not see the existence of the Vice-President of the Asterids everywhere. Well, it was only natural that he was currently in the Capital of the Sanguine Kingdom to discuss something important

with the higher-ups of the other Sanguine Kingdom.

After being convinced that all the students had gathered together, a senior instructor began to explain the true meaning of this welcome. And this is where I finally got the answer to my question.

The Cardinal Chairman came home along with his first grandchild.

This news suddenly made this whole place a storm because the students were whispering to each other.

Without the need to sharpen my ears I was able to listen to their speech.

"First grandchild? Are you serious?"

"Does that mean Miss Rosemary is not the only daughter of the Vice Chairman of the Asterids?"

"Wait a minute! Does the first Grandchild of the Chief Cardinal already have a student?"

"No structure touched on that issue... UH!"

"Hey, hey, does this mean..."

All the students thought the same thing.

The first granddaughter of the Cardinal Chief is looking for a disciple!

Although I do not know who and what this first grandchild was like, but the fact that he was a descendant of the Chief Cardinal was more than enough to attract the attention of everyone.

Just last year Miss Rosemary opened the opportunity for students to become her students. At that moment everyone immediately went crazy and started working day and night so that they could be selected to become disciples

from Miss Rosemary. Being a student of a Ciel.

Being a disciple of a Ciel was like a treasure more precious than all gems of gold. By studying under the auspices of a Ciel you can master magic more quickly or even gain

the opportunity to learn a rare Skill that most people do not have.

Not to mention, positions and positions that you will definitely get when you become a student of a Ciel.

Even the position as an Advisor to a King seemed insignificant when you became an assistant or even just a maid in the Ciel family.

I can still remember how messed up the dorm situation was when almost all of its residents stayed up late day and night in order to improve their Skills or figure out a way that they could flash and get

attention from Miss Rosemary.

In the end it all came to a halt when a student who was about a year younger than me was chosen as a student of Miss Rosemary.

And now, the position as a disciple of a Ciel was reopened.

All will go crazy just like the one before.

Contrary to the other students who became very excited, I felt nothing but a headache that I would feel because the neighbors in the next room would definitely do another crazy experiment that would make me unable to go to sleep for an entire night forfeiture.

Whoo... Whoo...

Looking up, I found an owl with snow-white feathers and an eye symbol with three horns on it

her chest.

Obviously, this owl is not a wild owl.

I know a lot of Magicians who rule over [Summoning Magic] and many of them who make owls as their summoning creatures.

But this summon creature in front of me was the first time I saw it.

Me and the owl locked eyes.

His flaming violet eyes were staring straight at me...

That's when I realized. The owl can see me.

"Aah!?"

I suddenly felt a dangerous existence approaching this place.

My whole body was frozen from just feeling his presence. I was about to warn the others but my mouth refused to open. I was about to run away from this place but my feet refused to move.

I was just standing stiffly in the shadow of the tree when it came closer.

"Chairman Cardinal La Ciel has returned!!!"

With the announcement of a senior Witch, the, the Magicians who had lined up neatly in front of the entrance immediately raised Wand high in their hands and shot out [Fire Magic] which looked like fireworks into the sky.

Along with that, the other Magicians immediately beat the drums with gusto.

The reception began to look like a celebration. Cheers burst out when a horse-drawn carriage pulled by four Sleipnir stoutly walked under the colorful petals of flowers sprinkled

by the students while displaying smiles on their faces.

Contrary to the festive atmosphere before me, only I am a silent person frozen in the shadow of a tree far from the excitement that is happening.

It didn't take long before the horse carriage finally stopped.

A knight wearing a black Full Body Armor came down from the driver's seat along with the archer lady beside him and immediately opened the carriage door.

The first to descend was Miss Rosemary along with her student, Clara.

After getting off the carriage, Miss Rosemary reached out her hand to help the Cardinal Chief to get off the carriage.

A warm and lively greeting was immediately thrown to Miss Cardinal who had returned from her Quest.

A moment after that...

Getting off the carriage was a Witch who had a face very similar to Miss Rosemary but looked younger.

Contrary to Miss Rosemary who wore a pure white robe, this one Witch wore a dark black robe.

Looking at the Staff he brought, I immediately felt short of breath.

Not only me, the disciples even the Instructors were also caught holding their breath when they saw the figure of the Witch.

Not only his Staff, even the aura that the Witch was emitting was so powerful that it made all but the Senior Witches instantly kneel to him.

Standing before everyone else, the Cardinal Chief stomped the Staff he had brought to the ground forcefully which made everyone fall silent for a moment as if the excitement had never happened.

Even I who had almost stopped breathing was able to breathe again with relief. It was as if the Staff shock from the Cardinal Chief was able to neutralize the aura emitted by the new Witch.

Taking a deep breath, the Cardinal Chief began to speak.

"First of all, thank you for your great welcome. I hope that my departure all this time does not make you lazy because the war is in front of the eyes"

At the words of the Cardinal Chief, everyone became tense.

Although this city is in a hidden location, it does not mean we cannot get the latest information from the outside world.

On the contrary, everything that happens out there is certain to be known.

That's because our job as Sol Ciel is to overcome all the conflicts in the world that require us to be able to know everything that is happening in this world.

And the latest information that is most often talked about during is the Narsist Kingdom which hoists war flags to all the Kingdoms that exist on this continent.

Including Sol Ciel.

"We as Sol Ciel should always be in a neutral position no matter what. We have maintained our position for centuries and have been known as a respected and trusted mediator. Will

but this time it was a different case!"

Everyone immediately held their breaths impatiently to hear the next words of the Cardinal Chief.

"Narsist Kingdoms. A Kingdom that was once famous for their art and culture. It has now flown war flags across the continent.

Even after our efforts to appease them, the King of the Narsist Kingdom has rejected us outright and even insulted us right in the face.

Therefore, those of us who should be neutral are no longer able to stand still and look.

Because from this moment on, we, Sol Ciel. It is now officially participating in the great wars of the century.

Together with the other Kingdoms, we will advance and bring down that despicable Kingdom!"

At the speech of the Chief Cardinal, this entire place was again enveloped by the cheers of the fight. At first glance I forgot that we were supposed to be Witches and not a bunch of thirsty soldiers

gonna fight.

With a single jolt from his Staff, everyone fell silent again.

The Cardinal Chairman then spoke again.

"In order to welcome the coming war, we need all the forces at hand. Therefore, from today all Magicians (Witch) scattered across the continent will be recalled from their duties. That includes my first granddaughter who has been living in the Drakon Kingdom"

As if these were the moments they had been waiting for, all the students sighed and sharpened their hearing in fear of missing a single word.

"Include me, my first grandchild. Witch of the Ibis Forest, Lavender La Ciel"

With her name called, Miss Lavender then advanced to the side of the Cardinal Chief and showed her face to everyone.

The smile on his face somehow gave me goosebumps.

Seeing her face that looked younger than Miss Rosemary, telling me that she had first become a Witch (Wict) rather than Miss Rosemary.

Well, it's natural considering she's his sister.

"Although this is not the right time, but my grandson on this one still does not have a student. Therefore, from today on, one of you can have the honor to study directly below

Cucuku Shade. That's why you who want to get that honor..."

Not yet had the Chief Cardinal finished her words, Miss Lavender reached out her hand as if asking the Chief Cardinal to stop. Even though Miss Lavender didn't say a word, it seems

The Cardinal Chairman understands what Miss Lavender wants to say.

"so... So you've found the boy you wanted to make a student of. All right then, please bring him here"

What's?!

It was the same reaction everyone felt at this moment.

How not?

Given that this was the first time he had seen all of us, it meant that Miss Lavender could already determine which one would be his disciple with just a single look.

Does this mean that there is someone among us who is strong enough or at least flashy enough to attract the attention of a Ciel?

With a pounding heart, everyone was curious as to who to choose.

Taking a leisurely step, Miss Lavender slowly walked straight towards me... Wait, what!?

In accordance with what I feared, Miss Lavender is now standing right in front of me. His violet eyes looked straight at me.

I don't know why I've seen those eyes before.

As if to remind me, a snow-white owl came down from the top of a tree and landed right on Miss Lavender's shoulder.

I realized everything too.

The fact that even before he came here, Miss Lavender had already realized my existence and placed her attention on me.

Just like her other family, Miss Lavender was also able to see my whereabouts.

Not caring about me being surprised, Miss Lavender said to me.

"Little girl, can you tell me your name?"
