MITONI EVENTS (SEVEN MONTHLY )

Then the mitoni event began with a recitation by inviting orphans around the Princess' house and giving them some gifts as a manifestation of their gratitude for Nisa's pregnancy.

Then it seems that the afternoon continues with the core event of the mitoni. Because Nisa's father and mother are thick with Javanese culture, the core event is also done according to Javanese customs.

In holding the Mitoni procession, there are several rituals that need to be done, ranging from sungkeman events, siraman, to distributing ramjak to invited guests. Not only that, because in Javanese tradition is also synonymous with including symbolization in the form of objects that are full of noble meaning.

Fortunately her husband and relatives have prepared for this event far - far away.

In Mitoni's seven-month ceremony, Nisa's parents have provided a variety of equipment that is all seven.

Among others; porridge of seven colors, sticky rice or seven forms, tumpeng buceng in the form of a small cone, procotan is a dish wrapped in banana leaves, various market snacks, and various other equipment.

Then the event continued with a "sungkeman" process before stepping into the next event.

In this event Zein and Nisa must do a condolence to both parents to ask for blessings for safety and smooth delivery later.

Then the event continued with the process of "flush ". Watering or bathing is done with the aim to purify the birth and inner of the mother and prospective baby, namely Nisa and her baby. Wrapped in batik cloth, Nisa looks beautiful with a bulging stomach and now she has been sitting and doused with water flush that has been sprinkled with setaman flowers.

This procession is guided by their elders, who have been appointed by both Nisa's parents to lead the procession.

The seven chosen people will water the Nisa using a dipper from a coconut shell. The person is Nisa's father and mother, then Zein's father and mother, then Zein's grandmother and grandfather and the last is Nisa's grandmother. The flush procession starts from the oldest person in the family and then continues with other family members who have been appointed earlier.

Then the show continued with "grohoh clove. The clove means coconut buds, used as a symbol of the forerunner of the baby who will become an adult human later. Cloves amounted to two pieces, taken by the father, for the next brobosan ritual (launch)

Then proceed with the show "brojolan or brobosan". In this process Zein will later launch two cloves from behind the fabric used by Nisa. Cloves or young coconuts used previously have been painted by Dewi Kamaratih symbolizing a beautiful baby woman and Dewa Kamajaya symbolizing a beautiful baby boy.

Then Zein continued the event by splitting the strangle, as a symbol to open the way the baby to be born in his path.

Then the event continued with the "mantes-pantesan" event ". In the procession of pantes, Nisa must change clothes or eradicate fashion seven times.

Later, the invitation will simultaneously answer inappropriate until the 6th dress. Then the 7th dress will be worn by Nisa. This became one of the unique rituals in the Mitoni procession.

Actually Zein pity Nisa who has to go back and forth up to 7 times. Because he saw the face of Nisa who was exhausted due to this ritual. Especially with her stomach. Which sometimes seems mentally dull when Nisa walks.

Laughing but afraid of Nisa's drawn gaze right at Zein. Zein had to swallow her saliva hard when Nisa looked at her like that.

Next procession "Angrem". Today Nisa and Zein imitate the style of chicken that incubates eggs and crow loudly, as a symbol of the responsibility of the prospective father for the life and welfare of the baby and his mother.

Next the show continued with "cut the tumpeng". This time the process is done as an expression of gratitude that the seven-month salvation has been carried out smoothly.

The next event was the "division of takir pontang".Takir pontang is a container to serve food made from banana tree leaves and janur and shaped like a ship.

The shape of the takir pontang means that the prospective parents must be ready to sail the household ark like a ship in the ocean.

The dishes that have been placed on takir pontang were given as treats and thanks were distributed to the elders who attended the ceremony.

And the last process "sale dawet and rujak."

Rujak is a favorite food of pregnant people. Rujak is made from seven kinds of fresh fruits.

And when Nisa was told to make spice ryekanya, there was a request from the grandmother that the use of cabenya not much so not pesepesan..But because Nisa wants her son so she deliberately put a lot of chili. He had his own smiles when sharing the poem .

And it did not escape Zein's sight. " Why, baby ? " sanyanya.

" No papa.kok you will see later the expression of the people I have shared rujak." he said holding back his laughter .

People who want to accept dawet or rujak from Nisa, also have to pay with some money as a condition.

When Nisa's grandmother ate the dish, she was really pungent. He had wanted to approach Nisa and scold her, because Nisa was nosy and ignored her speech earlier.

Zein who saw Nisa's grandmother's spiciness was just a head bobble.

" You're so nosy, dear one." she said .
