A week has passed since the fire. The company decided to fire some of its employees, as they suffered losses due to the fire.
Rave and Jin also left the company. Not because they were fired, but because they were bored with their jobs that felt boring. For a week, they plan to survive by fishing for three meals a day.
They lived, until...
...---...
"Rave, there's a letter for you" Jin walked towards the sofa, where Rave was lying while watching television.
"Letter? What kind of people send letters in this era of technology?" Rave grabbed the white envelope from Jin's hand. At first glance he read the envelope, then he was surprised.
"What's wrong? What is a homeless captive letter?" ask Jin.
"This.it's impossible! It's been a year..."
"What the hell? Let me see!" Jin snatched the envelope forcefully and read the letter's opening, "Party? Is this a party invitation? From who, Rave?"
"Where I know. Obviously, I haven't been to a party for a year. Whatever kind it is," Rave recaptured the letter.
"This is written, in the name of Alexander Rave. This envelope stamp has an engraving that forms the letter A" Jin said. He flipped through the envelope, then looked at the inside, "There's an invitation card. But, there's only one."
"Why indeed?"
"Somehow, this envelope could land in my house. To my knowledge, you have no home. How did the sender know you lived here?"
"Jin.. You're stupid, aren't you? This invitation could mean a lot to us."
"What's that?"
"We can eat well after a week of eating charred fish without seasoning. In addition, we might be able to ask the sender of the invitation to give us a luxurious residence."
"Huh? How's it possible?"
"Stamp this. Since a hundred years ago, only noble families had special letter seals. Then, this fellow painstakingly searched for me just to have me present. It must be very profitable, right?"
Jin thought for a moment, "Right as well. So, when are you going to be there?"
Rave thought for a moment, "This afternoon. That's a good time. This invitation also shows the time of the afternoon."
"What do you want to wear at the party? From the invitation alone, it must be a special feast of the rich and influential."
"Tuxedos? Could too. Then you're the one who left. Because I had nothing to do with the sender," said Jin who then walked towards the exit.
"Where are you going?"
"work. I've got a job, it's not far from here."
Rave was alone in the house. As he scanned the symbol more thoroughly, he realized something. It's the letter V, or in ancient numbers it means 5.
...---...
"This mansion reminds me of someone," Rave said as he stared at the huge mansion building before him. It was obvious that the owner was a very wealthy man.
But. nothing here. No party or anything.
Rave was confused and double-checked his address, but he didn't have the wrong address. He even asked the residents of the house next to the mansion, whether there was anyone in there or not.
"Yes, there's a small family living there. Husband wife and one son," said the man who lives next door to the mansion.
"A family? Are they noble families or something?" Rave showed the symbol V to the man.
"Hmm? Ah, this symbol. I've seen it in museums. He said, there are a lot of artifacts found with this symbol. It's about a thousand years old."
"ancient symbol? Huh..it's getting weird. Then, thank you."
Rave again came to the front of the mansion gate, hoping that someone who was inside there could let him in. He waited, even until nightfall.
Finally after a long wait, he found an intercom next to the gate, which was covered by wild-growing plants.
"Who's there?"
"My name is Alexander Rave. I got an invitation that leads me to this place."
"Alexander's Rave? All right, I'll open the gate."
Kriyiiic.....
The large, rusty gate was creaking as it opened slowly. Then without hesitation, Rave entered the territory of the old mansion.
Not knowing what's going to happen in there.
