Alterin Saga: Biohazard
Episode 30: The final strategy

Alexander Rave

The air around me was frozen. But I never felt it. To be more precise, I can't feel anything. At a time like this, I have to remember some of the strategies given by Sora.

"The first rule in the fight, look at the situation and the surrounding conditions. Measure and compare the strength of your opponent and yourself."

I looked around while continuing to make gusts of wind. There are about 6 trucks, which can likely fit up to 20 people. Within a 100-meter radius there were about 30 defense forces, 50 troops with assault rifles, and 30 special forces carrying stun batons.

"Second, make a distance with the opponent who has the power to destroy. Then as quickly as possible, make their defensive formation open."

Their defensive forces did not seem so resistant to the excessive cold air. Their shields are also made of reinforced plastic material. The opponent's sight must have been blurred by the blizzard I made. Now it's time to fight.

"One of your abilities is to control the temperature without any impact on your body. Use that excess to make a weapon out of your own body."

I-i know. In addition to changing the temperature and climate on a small scale, I can change my body temperature without accepting the impact. First the skin on my hands, I'll turn the temperature very hot.

After that, I advanced and hit a portion of the defense force. This hot punch could not be stopped with steel though. Within a short period of time, half of the defending troops had been killed.

"As much as possible, make your opponent temporarily retreat. An example is intimidating and paralyzing their leader."

Where's that guy? I'm pretty sure he's the leader of this attack. While continuing to attack, I looked for him among the ranks of the army.

Plan succeeded. Their defenses are destroyed. Time to make the next plan. I made the blizzard run amok again, then took cover among the piles of corpses while observing the enemy.

"Third, after the defense formation is destroyed, usually the enemy will focus on attacking. This is where their weaknesses will appear. They will be alert and will not realize that their comrades or other troops are away."

Justright. The distance of the troops to each other became tenuous and did not pay attention to his partner. Golden opportunity to kill one after another.

I have enough time to wear one of the combat suits of the dead troops. It is quite difficult to wear it because it is a little heavy.

"If you feel you can't win directly, do a blending strategy. After this strategy, you have two choices. Escape or attack."

Of course I'll attack. I stopped the gusts of wind and storm temporarily, then sprawled on the ground. These clothes consist of helmets, vests, gloves, and shoes. Good enough to disguise the shape of the body and face. Next, I'll bet on the man's decision. Whether he would evacuate the corpse, or even exterminate it.

"The body has stopped."

"Gosh, Projects are terrible. How could he make a blizzard in early autumn?"

The surviving invading forces muttered to each other. Until the man reappears and says, "Check the whole place. Maybe he's still here."

Goody. I have enough time to rest the Mathanus Cell in my body. Then I can execute the next plan.

...---...

It's been half an hour they've checked every corner of the terminal, but they still haven't found me. Well, how's the next step?

"Captain, target not found anywhere. What's the next order?" ask one of the troops.

Apparently so. This man was the captain of the Artemis Army in the Western District. But, this guy is pretty weird. As if he took the power of Projects lightly.

"We will take care of the fallen army. Burn everything!"

"Alexander's Rave! I know you're still here. Get out and surrender!"

Relax, Rave. If so, my plan must be changed. They want to burn all the bodies to make sure I'm still here?! They're fucking crazy!

"Listen, Rave. Man is willing to do anything for what he believes. You must be careful when facing them."

Damnit damnit! I have to what?!

"When circumstances are not possible to escape, your choices will be fewer and fewer. Fight or get caught. Besides those two things, only a miracle will help you."

Some troops began to spill flammable liquids all over the corpses. I didn't know that they dared to do such an inhumane thing.

But, in fact, they took the wrong step. I raised the temperature of the skin of the hand to its limit, making it red smoldering. Then touch that liquid.

Duars!!!

The flames instantly appeared quickly, devouring the entire corpse and the troops that poured liquid.

While the other soldiers who survived only looked at me who was standing among the flames. Then without waiting for orders, they shot at my body from all directions.

Pssh...

It's free. This time I made the upper body as hot as magma, making all those lead bullets melt and fall to the ground.

The man was standing there, about 50 meters in front of me. Then I looked into his eyes and said, "Just give up. You will not be in control of all of us. Even at the cost of a thousand lives."

Yep. My plan now is to get them to give up and back off. The Mathanus cells in my body were getting tired and almost reaching their limit. I could feel it with the red color of my skin that was fading slowly.

"How did you decide, captain?" I tried to lure the man into giving up. But if he still wants to fight, I'll run away from here.

"You think by defeating half my army, I'll just retreat?" the man stomped his feet.

I never thought that during this year, they had invented a technology that was so dangerous to us.

One of the troops advanced from his ranks and approached me. His clothes were different from the others. His body was sturdy and large, making me instantly know that this person was special among the troops.

Now he stood in front of me and said, "Alexander Rave. I'm gonna destroy you."

"Huh..a very troublesome," my fist directly struck the person's helmet, causing it to break and stagger backwards.

But, I was wrong. Because when I punched him, I couldn't pull my hand. I fell down along with this guy, who turned out to be just a combat robot!

Damnit damnit! I can't stand up. This robot is too heavy and holds my hand. I can't melt it because I'm tired.

"Strike him!"

A barrage of bullets rained down on me from all directions. Goddamnit! Although I could melt the lead, I couldn't stand the impact of the bullet.

When I couldn't stand it and was desperate, I made another blizzard. This time it was bigger and cooler. But unfortunately, that was my last strength before I fainted and was unconscious. Go to what will happen later.
