Episode 8: The Leader

A week has passed since I woke up. I am now in a mansion in Genneva Village, 250 KM from Reverie City. The village of Genneva is the center of Cleaver Island which is one-eighth of the Reverie City. Well, that means there's only this village on Cleaver Island.

Sora's been living here for 6 years, hiding from the hunt for Projects. The island is quite famous for its views.

"Beautiful, right?" Sora approached me who was staring at the sunset painting in the living room. In his right hand was a suitcase, I don't know what it contained.

"This painting has been handed down for 300 years. Quite historic, but the painter is not famous. So no one thought of it that way," Sora slowly rubbed the frame of the painting.

"300 years. The picture is so alive"

"certain. He had already painted over 50 paintings, it was a pity that no one appreciated him. On the contrary, people more appreciate a scrap of paint on the canvases of famous painters. It's so sad" Sora walked away leaving me still glued to the painting.

There's something in the bottom corner, a signature. It says 'Praise to God'.

So they will analyze the old documents belonging to our creator, Professor Azura," Sora spoke in front of the living room, we all gathered for a meeting thinking about the next step.

"We, the Projects, were created by Cell Mathanus. The cell itself is not found on earth, but rather in outer space. Comet Zane is where the cell lives and is found, passing every 10,000 years. Currently, Zero's only ambition is to find Mathanus Adrenaline which can trigger the growth of Mathanus Cells

"Then why is he after her? How important is that thing? 7 years ago, Zero was sealed in a bunker I created. The bunker had a material that Mathanus Cell disliked, Mercury. For 7 years he was confined, his strength faded. To restore his powers, he needs Mathanus Adrenaline."

"Wait, you said the government was after Projects, why are you working there?" cut Bill.

"Of course I'm undercover, I'm not stupid. I worked there to dig up information about scientists related to Projects. But the result was nil, there was no record or recording of it," Sora sat on the sofa and drank a glass of water before returning to speak.

"So we have to find Mathanus Laboratory before Zero finds it. But there was no clue other than this," Sora held out a piece of paper to me.

There's a picture of someone on this paper. David Bossman, a Mafia leader in Charon City, next door to Reverie City.

"David Bossman, he funded Experiment Projects 8 years ago. That's the only clue left from the government record. One day, he came to the government building with some of its members and did a cooperation contract with the scientists," Sora looked at Miko who looked in shock.

"Don't get carried away, Miko. Your father funded this experiment. A few years ago your father gave you to the government to serve as a guinea pig. That's why your father disliked the Capital after the experiment ended, and chose not to report you. He's sorry"

"So. all this time..."

"Yes, you've been forgotten for a long time" Sora said. There was a long silence after that. Bill then spoke again.

"So where is that guy now?" ask Bill.

"Look, I found the location. Now we have to get ready to go there"

"David Bossman is on this island"
