The rain has stopped, although it has not stopped completely and still leaves a small speck. Sherly and I were preparing to leave for my arduous task. The sky still showed its sadness, that morning the sunshine never appeared. But there are advantages for me and Sherly, so we will not overheat when walking to all the places we want to go.
" Sherily."
" Hmm" he muttered in response to my call.
" Thank you, yes" I said.
" Thank you, what's it doing ?" Confused ask.
" You're always there for me" I replied to the point.
" Consider" he answered briefly.
We were silent for a moment and continued the footsteps that had stopped. Again, the cloud has begun to gather, it seems that there will be aftershocks.
" Sherly," Call me to him as I keep walking.
" What, Candra ?" Ask.
" No, just call" I replied.
" Ihhh Candra mutebelin deh," he said as he turned his lips aka pout.
I smiled a little at the behavior of the beautiful girl while still walking towards the destination. Before long we walked, in front there was a house that became one of our goals as well as the destination house closest to Sherly's house.
" Alan's house?" My murmur looked at the house and was somewhat reminded of her unpleasant treatment towards me first.
" Yes...." Sherly replied briefly as she continued to approach the house.
It seemed like the house was very quiet, like there was no one there. Whatever it is, we have to make sure of it first. Before that, I threw away the hatred that was inside me. I also knocked on the wooden door and said hello. And it turns out that my guess is wrong, with just a few taps coupled with a greeting has made its residents aware of the arrival of a guest.
" Greetings waalaikum," replied someone from within, from her tone of voice like a middle-aged woman.
" Cklekkkk" the door opened little by little, until someone had been seen from behind the closed door. Unmistakably, that person was a middle-aged woman who was probably Alan's mother. It's only natural that I don't know, because during my 6 years in elementary school, I rarely visited my friends' houses. Especially friends who always hurt me, even though I never visited his house even though I know the location of his house.
" Ehhh Sherly and this....."
" Tante Candra, Alan and Sherly's Elementary School friend," I said politely.
" Why haven't you ever seen aunty ?" Alan's mother asked confusedly as she continued to look at me.
" It's natural that aunt, this person used to be lazy out of the house, so rarely people who recognize him," replied Sherly ceplas - ceplos while pointing at me.
I was embarrassed when I heard Sherly say. I was just a mangosteen responded to that remark with a ashamed heart.
" Oh yeah Tan, where's Alan ?" I asked to throw my shame away.
" Oh yes, until you forget, just aunty call," he said as he walked into his house.
The middle-aged woman was no longer seen. While waiting for the arrival of the person we mean, for a moment we joked and let off laughter. Until the man named Alan had walked towards us, but he was alone, without his mother accompanying or following. Maybe her mom was busy in the kitchen.
" Hey, Alan," said Sherly, for long silence.
" Hey too, Sherly," she replied confusedly.
Sherly nudged my shoulder to give me the code to speed up the mission we had planned. I was clearly sensitive to that point, slowly I moved my legs closer to Alan, but the man even slightly retreated. I don't know what she's thinking, but I quickly held her back from going too far.
" Alan," Call me, but there's no answer from him.
" Do you remember me ?" Ask a base - stale that is answered with a nod.
I let out a heavy sigh, preparing myself to be able to say an apology even though I am not the one at fault. I doubt it, but I have to do it.
" I'm sorry."
" I shouldn't have hated you and the others all this time."
" I don't know what else to say."
" I want, me, us and the others to have a relationship called friendship. Without hatred and vengeance" I said at length.
The man's eyes were glazed - the glass digested all the words I had spoken to him. For a moment he was silent, perhaps recalling the evil he had done to me. Until not a long time later he did not immediately answer my statement, but told us to sit on a chair on the porch of his house.
" Alan," Call me again because he's still quiet.
" You shouldn't be the one apologizing, I should be the one apologizing" he replied.
I smiled a little, and so did Sherly. It seems that my goal of making peace will be to achieve success.
" That's not a question to think about, so we're gonna be friends, right ?" Ask again.
He nodded in agreement. I smiled again and felt a sense of relief, even if it was just a little. Because there are still some friends that I'm going to treat the same thing that I did to Alan.
We did not continue the journey immediately, but were still talking on the porch of Alan's house. Alanpun's expression was not as stiff as before. And from that long conversation, I found out that even now Alan works as a small employee. I didn't tell him about my rank for fear of frustrating him and growing embarrassed and making his guilt even greater.
It didn't feel like we were talking long enough at Alan's house. The sky in the sky is getting thicker. It will rain soon again.
" Still - bentar. You two are dating, right ?" Ask Alan without hesitation.
I saw Sherly's face turn red. Just like me, I never thought Alan would ask such a question.
" It's gonna rain, we better get on our way" I said, switching the conversation and starting to stand up from my seat.
" Hey, answer my question first !" Alan Pinta.
But we were ready to step out of Alan's house and ignore the question.
" We say goodbye, man," I said.
I saw the man's body fixated before we stepped foot and moved away from the house.
