At ten in the morning, Azzam was already at the air force academy located in the Sleman area. He and other prospective cadets will again do the final pantukhir or monitoring. If previously pantukhir implemented in place of each register. This time the pantukhir will be conducted centrally in the air force academy. Of the 305 cadets and cadets who came to Pantukhir this time, only 140 cadets and 10 cadets were accepted into the air force academy.
Azzam enlisted in lanud Husein Sastranegara. He was competing with a large number of applicants and had to undergo several tests. Lastly, he competed with 21 chassis while doing pantukhir. First they conduct administrative tests, health tests and psychological tests. After that proceed with samapta test and posture test.
Samapta test itself consists of three parts, samapta A, B and C. Samapta A, chassis must run for 12 minutes with a mileage benchmark. Sampata B, the chassis is asked to do pull ups, push ups and shuttle runs. While on samapta C, assessed from the ability to swim chassis with a distance of 25 meters with travel time as a benchmark.
The last is the posture test. Here the posture of the chassis will be examined in detail, including body shape, hand shape, foot shape, the condition of the palms and feet, body balance, symmetrical geometry of the chassis body, etc, until how to walk each chassis will be an assessment.
Before applying to become an AAU cadet candidate, of course Azzam has prepared himself as well as possible. Azzam has a high posture for a child his age. When registering, Azzam age 17 years over six months, and has a height of 181 cm, with an ideal body weight. Not too thin and not too fat. He has also diligently trained his body by doing physical activities, studying martial arts and also practicing swimming. No wonder that in the end, he could defeat his competitors and qualify pantukhir. Of the 21 chassis people, only 7 people were selected from the Lanaud Husein Sastranegara. And they again compete in the final pantukhir.
The cadets and cadets who made it through the pantukhir were announced the next day. Those who don't qualify can try again next year. Those who qualify will immediately get an education at this academy. After the announcement is made, parents are allowed to meet their children before the child undergoes education.
Kenzie and Nara were already in the academy when they received news that the child had passed pantukhir and was officially accepted as an AAU cadet, or commonly referred to as a carbolic cadet.
Nara hugged her son tightly. Prayers never separated from his lips when he released his youngest child into cadets and get education and training in the crater candradimuka. Kenzie also hugged the child tightly. With great hope, the child can succeed in achieving the goals he wants.
“Do not forget to pray and pray. You are trying to be the best cadet here, and do not forget to pray for convenience. The end result is leave it to Allah SWT. Effort and prayer, will never betray the end result.”
“Iya, pa.”
“Mama and papa will continue to pray for you. Our prayers, your prayers and your efforts will go in harmony until you reach your goal,” Nara continued.
“Thank you, ma. I will try to be the best and keep praying.”
“Do not forget to tell you, if you have been allowed to communicate.”
“Iya, ma.”
Once again, Azzam hugged his mother and father. The young man then joined the cadets and other cadets, forming a line. Parents delivering their children are welcome to return. Their children over the next three months will be cut off from the outside world, to be emblazoned into the Indonesian National Army Air Force.
Guberbur AAU, Marsma TNI Cahyo Nugroho gave a brief speech, welcoming the arrival of cadets and cadets of the Air Force Academy this year. Not to forget the man gave motivation to cadets and cadets, to stay focused on education and become a proud and reliable TNI AU graduate. After a short welcoming event, cadets and cadets are welcome to the hall for uniform distribution.
During their time as cadets at AAU, they are only allowed to wear clothes or uniforms that have been provided by the academy, from uniforms, shoes, socks, to the interior. There are six categories of uniforms given, namely General Service Clothing, Daily Service Clothing, Field Service Clothing, Cruise Service Clothing, Drumband Service Clothing and Sports Clothing. Of the six categories, it is still divided into several uniforms, such as cruise service clothing, divided into day and night cruises. In total there are 13 uniforms that will be used by cadets during their education at the academy.
Once the uniform distribution is complete, the activity is continued with a notification of activities during the dormitory. They have been given a schedule of activities, from starting to wake up to bedtime. One that they know, every time and after doing an activity, they will be asked to march. Even when going and finishing congregational prayers they are required to march.
After getting a uniform and listening to the rules that apply in the dormitory and also the academy, cadets are welcome to return to their respective rooms. The cadets must maintain the neatness of the room, every morning, will be checked rooms. If there is a cadet room that is messy, then it must be ready to be punished.
After tidying up the clothes in his room, Azzam came out to get acquainted with other cadets. In establishing the spirit of togetherness of the corps, of course they must know each other. Azzam was acquainted with cadets on the right, left and front of his room.
“Azzam, Bandung,” he said introducing himself while shaking hands.
“Seno, Banyuwangi.”
“Eko, Bantul.”
“Zakaria, Sinjay.”
“Sinjay it's South Sulawesi, huh?” ask Seno with his thick Japanese accent.
“Iya.”
“Call him what's good?” ask Eko.
“Free.”
“Do not be free, should be clear. You see, your name is if beheaded is not good,” exclaimed Seno. Seno's figure looks the most humorous among the others.
“Ngga good, how?” ask plain zakaria.
“Your name is Zakaria, if called from behind, Ria, rich girl. If not wrong, there is a taruni named Ria as well. If from the front so...”.
“Zakar, hahaha.” chirps Azzam.
“Nah.. it's tau, hahaha.”
“As far as you ask, please do not **** or Ria.”
“Ehmm. Cooler, right?” azzam.
“All of you, Jack. Let the rich bule,” chirped Eko.
“Ngga. Sorry, your face does not fit into a bule, hahaha,” continued Seno.
Quickly the friendship between the four began to intertwine. They exchange a lot of information about each other. The four also discussed the schedule given by the coach. What they are confused about is the meal time which is only given three minutes.
“Ngga wrong, if you eat only given three minutes?” ask Eko.
“Yes the rules are so rich,” replied Seno.
“If more than three minutes how?”
“Defaults due to rich law,” timpal Azzam.
“Waduh!”
Of the four people, Eko looked the most panicked. Before entering the AAU, Eko was among the slowest people about eating. In addition, the portion of the meal is also not much. When becoming a cadet, now he must be prepared with a life full of discipline and regularity, including about eating.
“Why?” ask Zakaria.
“I if eat the longest.”
“Now if you eat, straight away, do not have to chew, hahaha..” timpal Seno.
“Weh add that danger.”
Not only Eko, but almost all cadets felt the same worry, especially the cadets. They can only pray, hopefully there is a leniency in their early days of being cadets and cadets.

After performing prayers for the congregation, cadets and cadets directly lined up in front of the dining room. They took turns after getting command of the coach. The dining room in the academy is quite spacious. Inside there are many long tables and chairs for cadets and cadets to enjoy the dishes. One table consists of six chairs that sit facing each other.
The cadets and cadets lined up to get ompreng or a place to eat which would then be filled with rice, vegetables, side dishes and fruit. Azzam took the ompreng and glass made of aluminum from its place, then headed for the trainer who would give them food. He was surprised by the rice that was put into his ompreng. The portion is more than the daily portion of the meal.
Next the second coach gave vegetable soup to the ompreng belonging to Azzam, then the next coach gave tempe mendoan and crackers. Azzam went back to walking and got the banana as the fruit. Lastly, he got water to fill his glass. After her toothpaste was filled with food, she immediately headed for the well-organized table.
Zacharias, Eko and Seno sat down with him. They put the ompreng and glass on top, then sat down in a perfect manner, waiting for the cadets and other cadets to finish taking the food. After all the cadets and cadets took the food, they still had to wait for the squad leader to report to the coach, if they were ready to eat together. The coach rang the bell, a sign for all to pray before eating. Then he rang the bell twice, a sign that everyone was allowed to eat.
Azzam stared for a moment at his ompreng. There is only vegetable soup, tempe mendoan and crackers are the menu now. The rice is also not pure, similar to raskin rice. This is far compared to the menu that is usually enjoyed by him when at home. The young man began to eat it. As much as possible he quickly spent the meal, before the bell rang again.

The bell rang three times. The sound of the coach asking the cadets and cadets to stop eating them. Some coaches check the tables of cadets and new cadets. Almost everyone has not eaten. Unlike the seniors who had already spent their meal. Not even a grain of rice was left on top of the ompreng.
“Slow!!” yelled one of the coaches.
“All new cadets and cadets!! Line in the field!”
“Siap, carry out!!”
Compact they immediately stood up, neatly they came out of the dining room and lined up on the field. They will be punished for not spending food in accordance with the specified time. They were sentenced to run around the field for three rounds. Among the cadets, there were some people who had finished their meal, but they were also punished for the mistakes of their friends. Mistakes made by one or two people will be borne by the joint. This is intended to maintain cohesiveness and also take care of each other between cadets and each other.
