AZZAMS

AZZAMS
Gifts For Gendis

After Ashar, Azzam and the others returned to Yogya. They're going to Giwangan terminal to pick up Willi. At Azzam's request, Eko took Gendis with them. Of course Gendis was willing, she was happy to be able to take a walk with her brother and friends. Moreover, Eko and the others were still wearing day cruise service clothes. They all look so dashing.

Arriving at the Giwangan terminal, Eko's eyes search for Willi. Every bus that entered the terminal, the young man always followed through the tail of his eyes. His face was bright when he saw Willi get off the bus that had just arrived at the terminal.

“Willi!” call Yakob.

While running, Willi approached his friends. He missed his best friend very much. The young man hugged his best friend one by one. Then his gaze turned to Gendis. The younger brother of Eko immediately kissed the back of Willi's hand.

“Your sister, Ko?” ask Willi.

“Iya.”

“Beauty yes, not rich brother, buluk.”

“Asem, hahaha.”

“We go to Malioboro mall first, yes,” take Azzam.

“You what?”

“Someone I want to buy.”

“Oke.”

The six young men along with Gendis immediately left the terminal to head for Malioboro. They boarded Trans Yogya to get there. Along the way, there was something they talked about. Willi recounted his experiences upon returning to the naval academy after integration training.

In less than half an hour, they had arrived in Malioboro. Everyone immediately went to the mall that was there. Azzam intended to buy Gendis shoes. His heart was filled when he heard the conversation Gendis and his father had at home.

“Ko, I have permission, would like to buy shoes for your sister,” whispered Azzam.

“Eh no need, Zam.”

“Do not reject, Ko. Gendis shoes have been damaged, pity if you have to wear damaged shoes. Besides I don't have a sister, when I can't think of Gendis as my own sister.”

“Still yes, Zam.”

“Sama-sama.”

Eko could not say anything more to Azzam. Her best friend was so light-handed and always helped her sincerely. He was very grateful to be able to get a friend as good as Azzam. Although it feels from a conglomerate family, but the young man was never arrogant and willing to make friends with him who incidentally came from a family that could not afford.

Azzam turned into a store that sold various shoes for the school. He headed for a row of shelves displaying school shoes for women. His hand then waved, calling Gendis to come closer.

“Hah?”

For a moment Gendis was only dumbfounded to hear Azzam's words. Reflexes he looked at Eko. Seeing the nod of his brother's head, Gendis started going around looking for shoes for him. But the girl was reluctant to choose because the price was quite expensive. The cheapest one alone is priced at two hundred thousand rupiah.

“Why?” ask Azzam.

“Eungg.. it's expensive, brother. Buy it not here. In the market only cheaper.”

Azzam just laughed at Gendis' words. He approached one of the shelves, then took the shoes that had not been separated from Gendis' gaze. The young man gave it to Gendis.

“This try this one.”

“But..”.

“Try aja.”

As Azzam pressed on, Gendis finally relented. He took the black shoes and tried them. The size fits on his feet. He secretly saw the price hanging there. His eyes were round at the price, four hundred and twenty-five thousand.

“Mahal, brother,” whispered Gendis.

“Ngga. Brother buy it for you. Consider it a gift for you. Instead, you must study hard. Ok?”

“Still, brother.”

Not just one, Azzam bought two shoes for Gendis. He chose white shoes this time and asked Gendis to give it a try.

“One day, brother.”

“Buy two. If one is washed, you can use the other one.”

“Still, brother.”

Eko was unable to say anything more. He was so impressed by what Azzam did. Seno hugged his best friend's shoulder. Not only Eko, but Seno, Zakaria, Yakob and Willi were also moved by the kindness of Azzam. After buying shoes, Azzam took the others to the supermarket. He went back to buying snacks for Gendis. He also bought snacks for them all.
