Kling.
An incoming message made the conversation between the child and the father cut off. The faces of the two spontaneously stared at the mobile phone lying on the table near the sofa that Bara and Bia occupied.
The woman who was in her body gulped her saliva when she glanced at her father who was also staring at the screen of his cellphone that was lit.
"There's a message, Bi," said Bara, which makes Bia keep trying to look calm.
"Yes, Dad. Maybe from my friend. I get a morning shift tomorrow" said Bia who made Bara nod.
"Stay here for today and tomorrow morning. I will take you" said Bara who made Bia turn.
"But… "
Bia seemed to have a hard time saying what she wanted to say as her eyes looked at her father's facial expression. Somehow he knew this was something that Bara had been used to since he was in school.
His father would drive him anywhere tirelessly. Although just coming home from work, if Bia invites to play, go to the mall or take her private lessons. Then Bara will take him with all his heart.
"Why, Bi?"
"Gakpapa, Dad. Bia was just afraid of my father's tiredness" said Bia who made Bara smile.
"Dad just drove you, son. Not accompanying you. So what makes you tired?" Bara asked by raising one of her eyebrows which made Bia smile with great force.
"All right."
"Dad will come out. You take a break, okay. And tomorrow, this master of yours will escort his beloved daughter," said Bara by raising his hand making a respectful position that made Bia laugh but replied respectfully as well.
"Good break, Dad."
"You too, dear," Bara said before she finally came out of her daughter's room and left Bia alone.
Bia looks to sigh in relief. He locked the door to his room and immediately walked to the table where his phone was. The woman quickly took him to bed and unlocked the screen and immediately opened the message that had just entered her phone.
"Where is it, Bi? I came to your house and Auntie said, you haven't come home at all," Bis said spelling out a message Shaka sent to her.
He forgot something. He forgot to give Shaka news. The woman had completely forgotten if there was a man to be alerted at all times.
When Bia wants to reply to that message. A vibration on his phone made him duck.
A call from Shaka makes Bia spontaneously get out of bed again. He took the headset that was placed in his bag and brought it back to the bed.
He couldn't have called without using this device. He was afraid that someone would hear their conversation.
"Assalamu'alaikum," Sahut Bia as he shifted the screen and received the call.
The phone screen slowly revealed the face of the man she loved. The face of the man who married her for a reason.
Yes, Shaka contacted her by doing a videocall and it somehow made Bia feel as if she had goosebumps.
"Where have you been, Bi? Why don't you go home? Are you angry with me? Are you disappointed in me, huh? Da? If you're angry I'm sorry… "
Bia felt festering as she looked at Shaka's chatty face on her phone screen. She could see how worried the man's face was on her.
He could see Shaka's facial expression which he very rarely did and he saw. A face that really cares about her. A facial expression that seeks his existence.
"Go home, Bi. Don't worry me. I promise I won't be angry again!"
Shaka said everything without pause. The man had truly become a chatty man this time around. The man who showed how worried he was about Bia.
"Why silence? Answer, Bi?"
"What did you say?"
"Grottling!"
Shaka glared at his eyes. Not that Bia is afraid, pregnant women this one somehow even laughs with no burden. Bia really felt funny with the expression on her husband's face.
The face that made him calm, made him feel no fear. Although a while ago he really felt afraid of the whereabouts of his parents. However, somehow seeing Shaka's face alone made him calm down.
"Keep laughing like that, Bi," Shaka said suddenly which made Bia stare at her phone screen fixedly.
"Don't cry and forgive me for making you cry, sad and depressed. I promise I won't make you cry again" Shaka said continuing with a serious face. "So go home! I miss you guys."
Bia's heart felt racing. He was able to see a serious face on Shaka's facial expression. She could see her husband's words truly.
"Thank you who?"
"You guys," said Shaka who made Bia hold her head by the hand.
"Who are you? There's no name. Where do I know, Father?"
"I miss you and our son."
Akhhh.
Bia wants to scream loudly. Bia wants to feel hysterical. His heart is pounding. He really feels dejavu, akhh no. It's dreaming. The dream he wanted long ago.
Is this a sign of his love?
Is this a sign if his love gets a reply from Shaka?
"So come home?"
Bia tried to apply her facial expression. He swallowed his saliva and straightened his body. Leaning his back to the bed then gazed towards Shaka with a calm looking facial expression.
"You didn't clearly say it. Tell me what the hell?" Tempta Bia who really wants to make herself hear the words of her husband again.
"I miss you and my son!" Shaka shouted which made Bia smile wide.
He really feels happy. He felt unexpected with Shaka's words. The words he wanted to hear. The words he thought were probably just a dream but now were completely real he heard.
A very successful sentence made him hopeful. Expect from this covenant-filled relationship.
"I'll be home tomorrow afternoon. After the work at the hospital was done," said Bia who made Shaka frown.
"Why not go home now?"
Bia looks confused. He glanced at the atmosphere of the room that was very very very make him always feel comfortable and calm.
"David, Bi. Where are you now" asked Shaka who sounded impatient.
Bia swallowed his saliva forcefully. Trying to cover it all up but is it true?
Ah no! If he doesn't say the right thing. He was afraid that Shaka would act recklessly or that everything he covered would be exposed.
"I'm at my parents' house" said Bia slowly, leaving Shaka speechless.
He didn't say anything. Shaka's facial expression changed and stared fixedly at Bia.
"Your parents don't know about us, do they?" Shaka asked quietly on his phone screen.
