Bia, the Substitute Mother

Bia, the Substitute Mother
Almost Caught!

...Believe me sometimes a change in a person's attitude will never be known when and how he turned into this. ...

"No, yet" Bia replied quietly which allowed her to hear a rough sigh from across the phone. "Only my brother knows and his wife. Besides, I kept everything a secret."

Shaka pulled her hair back. Bia was able to see the expression on her husband's face that looked disappointed.

"I can't say everything. My parents are still my pride. I don't want to let them down on me and know that I'm married because… "

Bia pause. He looked up with tears in his eyes that felt like he wanted to come out. The woman did not want to cry because she was sure that when she cried, the child in her womb would cry too.

He doesn't want to make himself more depressed. Bia was trying to stay calm and comfortable even though her position really made her mess up right now.

"I know, Bi. But your pregnancy "said Shaka paused by pointing Bia at her phone screen. "Your pregnancy will not continue to be small. He'll grow up and it'll let everyone know."

"I know!" Bia said. "But I'm not ready to say it right now. Give me some time to confess or I'll figure out a way to hide it until this child is born."

Shaka said nothing more. The man was able to see Bia's depressed face from her phone screen.

He did not want to make his second wife a lot of thoughts, stress or thinking about things that should not bother him.

"Hurry home" Shaka said in a pleading tone that made Bia look back at her phone screen.

Bia stared fixedly at the two eyeballs. She nodded her head in a sign of accepting her husband's request.

"I'll be home after work tomorrow."

Finally the call ended. Bia put her phone back on the bed and took her breath so deeply.

Ah it feels all difficult for him to live alone. Doing everything himself, picking up the results he made for hiding everything.

It's not an easy thing. It's not a beautiful thing for him to go through. But everything has happened. He doesn't blame time, he doesn't blame his decisions.

Bia is the one who clings to what he does. If he started, then he would finish everything until it was done. Even he would face everything that would happen because of the decision he took.

...****************...

Like after Bara's promise. This morning, the man with white hair certainly drove his favorite daughter to work. He drives his own car with passion. Especially when he saw his daughter who had just come out of the room with a black robe and black hijab look increasingly healthy to make him feel happy.

"Are you ready?" Ask Bara who is standing next to her car.

"Here you go, Dad."

"Nobody missed?" Bara asked that made Bia smile.

This is not the first time the man has done it. Questions like this he always got when Bara drove him to school. He would ask a lot of questions before getting into the car.

"Nothing, Dad. Everything is ready."

"All right, Father's Daughter. Now it's time for you to get in the car" said Bara, acting like a loyal servant and opening the car for Bia.

Bia chuckles softly. However, he also lowered his body slightly as respect.

"thank you. Father's daughter is coming in!"

Bia and Bara both chuckled. A very warm morning was felt by both.

An atmosphere they had never felt for a long time. The morning atmosphere they always missed is now able to both feel again.

"What time are you home, son?" Bara asked as their vehicle began to divide the city of Jakarta.

"I'm home at five in the afternoon, Dad."

"Go home?"

Bia nodded. "I'm afraid there's an operation call, Dad. So I'm gonna stay home and go home to Daddy's when I'm off. Okay?"

Bara nodded. He glanced at his daughter and stroked her head.

Bia looked towards her father. His eyes glazed over hearing his father's words.

A salute?

One thing that makes him proud. One word that managed to make Bia realize that what she did was seen by her father.

"Ready, Dad!"

"Don't get too suspended Okay! I don't want you to get sick!"

"Ready, my father's most dear. Bia will hear all of dad's advice!"

The journey is slowly ending. Bara managed to park his car in the parking lot. The man deftly also helped open the door for his daughter which made Bia realize that her father loved her very much.

"Work hard. Do the work sincerely. I'm sure what you're doing, will be a blessing to you and to others" Bara said wisely which made Bia nod.

"Yes, Dad. Work first yeah!"

Bia started kissing the back of her father's hand. Along with his coworkers who came near him.

"Bia" called him who made the bus turn.

"Hi, Ret!" Sahut Bia on his work team that may not be too close indeed.

"Oh this… "

"This is my father" said Bia and made Reta cupped her hands together in front of her chest as a sign of respect.

"Om coming home?"

"Yes," Sahut Bara nodded.

"It wasn't Bia yesterday pu… "

"Ret let's go in! It's starting hours!" Invite Bia who began to know the speaker of his friend.

"Dad, Bia left first. Be careful on the road. Assalamu'alaikum!" Sapa Bia then pulled Reta's hand to walk with her.

He couldn't have let his friend say what he wanted to say. If Reta were to say so, she was sure that it would raise suspicion. Bia knows how her father and mother are.

When both are suspicious. So Bia made sure that his father and mother would find out for his own good. Bara is a typical possessive father, which is a sign that he does not want his child in a position of danger.

She always tries to keep her children in a comfortable, calm and happy position. He did not want to put his son in a difficult situation. Until the time one problem they face, Bara will try to help according to the request of his children.

"What the hell are you, Bi? It's still half seven. It's not time to go in!" Reta said with a frown.

"I mean, my father. My dad's going to the office to see my brother. So don't talk to my dad for long!"

"But really interesting! Talking to your dad who's a great business man is amazing, Bi. I even want a picture with your dad. The news of your family's success is spread in magazines as well."

Bia shook her head. He was amazed by the words of his friend.

"If my mother knew! You'll be beheaded!"

Reta shuddered in horror. He looked at his friend with a chill.

"Your mother's a danger too. So possessive!"

"Clearly! His name is love" said Bia withhold laughter because it managed to make his friend believe and forget what he was about to say.
