CHAPTER 42 ~ Survive ~

Kevin opened his eyes, the man felt that something was blowing gently on his face.

"Celina ?" said Kevin.

Celina smile.

"You're healed ?" ask Kevin.

Celina nodded. Kevin woke up from his sleep, smiling to grab the girl. But Celina stepped back, Kevin was disappointed.

"You're mad at me ?" ask Kevin.

Celina shook her head, seeing Celina who kept retreating Kevin was astonished, the man followed her.

" Where are you going ?" ask Kevin.

"Go" said Celina briefly.

"Where to go ? you're still hurt, you can't leave" Kevin said worriedly.

"I'm cured so I have to go" Celina said, still walking backwards.

"Why ? why do I have to go ?" kevin asked, starting to shed tears.

"Because sister hates me, sister wants me to leave" Celina replied.

"No, that's not true, I don't hate you, I love you Celina" Kevin replied.

Celina simply smiled, while continuing to walk backwards. Kevin tried to chase him but his legs felt heavy. Celina got further away, then the girl stopped. Kevin was happy, the man continued to chase him but their distance did not come close.

Kevin was exhausted, almost desperate. At the end of the road Celina simply stopped looking at him with a smile and then waved her hand.

"No, Celina don't go. Don't go"

"Kevins.. Kevin. wake up" said Raffa.

Kevin woke up, the man circled his eyes, Kevin was asleep in the visitor's seat. Raffa who shed tears woke him up.

"Celina, he" said Raffa, continuing to shed tears.

Paramedics continued to run towards the intensive room where Celina was placed. Kevin ran after, from behind the glass, paramedics were busy surrounding Celina. Everyone is busy doing their job.

Injecting something in his infusion tube, do CPR to use a heart shock device. Kevin and Raffa could only stare from behind the glass window. Kevin shook his head while shedding tears.

He said goodbye to me, why ? why didn't I say it ?

Those words have been on my mind but why didn't I say them ?

I let you go Celina, I'll let you choose your love.

Why didn't I say it ?

Why just hold back on my thoughts ?

He wouldn't have left if I said that.

Don't go Celina, give me a chance.

Give me a chance to say that.

Kevin cried, his soul was depressed by regret until finally the man collapsed unconscious. Raffa who saw his best friend passed out immediately called the paramedics.

Kevin was examined until finally decided to hospitalize. The man was dehydrated due to stress, Raffa nodded in understanding as the doctor explained the condition of his best friend.

Raffa looked at Kevin who was lying weakly, the man could understand Kevin's suffering. The girl, who in a matter of minutes will be his wife, lies between life and death.

Raffa rubbed his tears that did not want to stop flowing, the two people he loved collapsed simultaneously. The man also felt tired, sobbing at the ceiling of the hospital.

This is the punishment for my selfishness, I should have let them go.

I should have let them go sincerely.

Raffa wiped his tears, then sat down while bowed. The man was frustrated, here his best friend fell unconscious from stress and tired. There the girl he loved was being dealt with because of her deteriorating condition. Raffa wants to run away from reality but doesn't want to leave both.

The man ran back towards Celina's room while continuing to hope that the girl would be fine. Fasterly running towards Celina's room, her tears seemed to fly with the wind. Raffa wanted to be next to the girl while struggling, he did not want to lose the opportunity to accompany the girl.

As if wanting to be by his side in order for the girl not to give up, Raffa arrived with a gasp of breath. Raffa saw people he knew were crowded there. Her father and mother, Alyssa and her parents and Keira.

Mrs. Rowenna immediately approached her son when she saw the man approaching.

"You from anywhere, you don't look after her, look now Celina is critical" Rowenna said in tears patting her son's shoulder.

Raffa sat on the floor, his body feeling very tired. Her tears did not stop flowing. Mrs. Rowenna stared at Raffa who was like a resigned blame, the man looked so tired, his body and soul tired.

Staring blankly ahead, seeing that, ma'am. Rowenna regretted blaming him. Keira immediately approached, sitting on the floor while rubbing Raffa's back.

"Where's Kevin ?" ask Keira.

"He was treated, the doctor said the glucose levels in Kevin's body dropped, the whole day he didn't eat. It made him limp and lose consciousness" explained Raffa.

Keira closed her mouth, staring at the sadness on Raffa's face. Mrs. Rowenna regretted her actions that blamed Raffa, her son went to and fro worrying about both of his loved ones alone.

Mrs. Rowenna hugged her son, the woman was also unaware her own son could also collapse with such a depressed physical and soul condition. Mrs. Rowenna apologized to Raffa who seemed to be indifferent to the situation of her son.

Raffa was crying in his mother's arms, only this time he was like that. The feeling of sadness that they felt caused a feeling of closeness to one another.

Keira decides to look after Kevin so Raffa doesn't have to worry about his best friend. Unable to look at the paramedics who are currently trying to make a rescue against Celina.

While stepping into Kevin's room, Keira unceasingly prayed for Celina's safety.

Celina I'll take care of Kevin, please come back. Do not stay us, we have not been able to lose you, inner Keira, walking while continuing to wipe away her tears.

Mr. Robby asks Raffa to take a break. But Raffa refused he wanted to stay. Moreover, paramedics still have not stopped trying to restore Celina's critical condition.

"I can't leave him daddy, I'm afraid of losing him dad" Raffa said, pleading not to tell him to leave.

Her tears did not stop flowing.

Mr. Robby lost his mind, the wise father did not want his son to fall ill. Asking David to get Raffa to eat something, David persuades Raffa to follow his father's advice.

"Sir, I'm sure Miss Celina doesn't like to see you like this. He will be sad to see you neglect your health because of him. If you want to take care of him, your body must be strong sir" David persuaded.

Raffa looked at David, what the man said was indeed true, Celina was a very considerate person, she even chose to sacrifice herself rather than hurt others. The girl will not like sick people because of her, Raffa finally obeyed looking for something to fill her stomach.

While Alyssa was unceasingly staring through the glass window, the girl stood there without turning a single look. Regretting his actions that ignored Celina. Reading the letter that Celina left behind made the girl completely afraid that Celina's words had come true.

Alyssa shook her head strongly, Celina's words as if revealing she would be gone forever.

Why Celina ? why say that ? you have to pull your words again.

I will not forgive you Celina, if you leave I will not forgive you.

Alyssa's heart was crying down.

Celina wants to disappear from her life and will not appear in front of her again. Making Alyssa sobbing alone, staring at Celina surrounded by paramedics who still have not stopped trying to save her

Tired, all tired of holding back the feeling of tension until finally the team of doctors came out of Celina's room. Mr. Saltano and Mr. Melviano who was more rigid immediately asked Celina's condition.

"What happened to Celina doctor, how's she doing ?" ask them in turn.

"Patients experience sudden cardiac arrest, a condition where the heart rate stops so that patients have difficulty breathing, this is dangerous because it can result in death in minutes.

"Thankful now the patient's condition has stabilized but we still have to be vigilant" said the doctor again.

All were immediately grateful, breathed a sigh of relief, then the doctor left the patient's family.

Everybody get together, Miss. Rowenna smiled again. Together they are grateful for the opportunity given to Celina to stay alive. Alyssa smilingly rubbed the glass, as if stroking Celina's face.

Thank you Celina, thank you for holding out for us, Inner Alyssa.

Kevin opened his eyes, his eyes circling the room.

"Celina ?" said the man when he saw a girl bowed while clasping her hands.

Keira immediately turned to look at Kevin who had awakened, the girl cried from earlier feeling panicked with the safety of Celina also pity to see Kevin's condition. The girl sympathized with their suffering.

"You're conscious ?" asked Keira while shedding tears.

"How's Celina doing ?" ask Kevin while trying to sit down.

"Don't sit down, rest up. Otherwise, your condition will get weaker you will not be able to take care of Celina if it is like that" Keira said.

Finally Kevin relented, the man looked at the infusion needle stuck on his wrist. Just realized his condition was already weak. The body fatigue and feeling not only felt since the loss of Celina but long before that.

Many times she felt disappointment over her feelings that Celina had not reciprocated. Although Celina sacrificed her own happiness for Kevin, but what the girl did, was not enough for him.

Because she knew Celina was only forced to do that, not out of love but out of pity and unfortunately for Kevin. Forcing her will despite aiming to make her happy was not enough to make Celina fall in love with him.

Kevin looked at the crying Keira while clasping her hands.

"Why are you crying ?" ask Kevin.

Keira shook her head, wanting to reveal her heart but afraid of being laughed at by Kevin.

"Is it because of Celina ? he said "Kevin remembered Celina's condition last time.

"No, there's no bad news about Celina, I've contacted Ms. Rowenna, they're still trying to get her condition back" Keira told Kevin.

Kevin was relieved, there was still hope, the man exhaled many times.

"Why are you crying ? " repeat Kevin asked.

"Because I'm sad, sorry for you, you're suffering from loving Celina so deeply. Never have I seen a man love a woman like you love Celina" Keira said.

Kevin laughed weakly, and correctly predicted Keira. The man laughed at him.

"Couldn't you ? you laugh, so I don't want to say" Keira said with a sad face.

"Yes, of course I laughed, I suffered why you cried" Kevin replied.

Keira looked at Kevin's face.

"I don't know why either ? even though he already knew he did not love me, but still insisted on wanting to have it" said Kevin regretted.

"Can letting a loved one choose his own love is called true love ? " ask Kevin slowly.

"Could, therefore, require a great sacrifice. Letting our loved ones be happy by choosing them. It takes a lot of sacrifice" Keira said.

"How do you know ?" ask Kevin.

"I think I experienced it" Keira said softly almost inaudible.

"At whom ? your fiancee's after you, you said she was with another woman ?" kevin asked, the man was the only person from Keira's past he knew.

"In that case, I didn't give it up but run away from it" Keira denied.

Kevin laughed, suddenly entered the hospital officers bring food for patients. Keira immediately wants to feed Kevin, but the man refuses.

"I can eat by myself" said Kevin weakly.

"You don't move, let me feed you" said Keira could not bear to see the weakness of Kevin's body.

Kevin relented, if his condition was not weak like that. He definitely would not bow to Keira.

"What makes you love Celina ? besides her beauty ?" ask Keira.

"Well, I think, originally because I felt sorry for her, Celina was suffering, because she suddenly found herself pregnant" Kevin explained.

"The girl chose to leave Alyssa's house in order to keep our good name. She did not want the status of extramarital pregnancy to ruin Alyssa's image.

Alyssa did not bother about it at all, and I felt sympathy for her" Kevin explained again.

Keira nodded in understanding.

"Initially from sympathy, pity, want to comfort him, then want to make him happy, then fall in love with him" said Keira.

The thought of Keira being approved by Kevin, the man nodded. Keira exhaled heavily, leaned back on the chair then stared blankly.

"Why are you ?" ask Kevin.

Looking at Keira's suddenly moody expression.

"I think I really experienced it" Keira said sadly.

"Isn't falling in love fun, then why are you sad" Kevin asked.

"Didn't you experience it too ? is it fun ? if it's fun, you won't be sad until it drops like this" Keira said while exhaling heavily.

"Because my love is clapping one hand" said Kevin.

"How is it different from me ? I think my love also clapped one hand" Keira said.

"Who would refuse a smart and beautiful girl like you ? " ask Kevin with a smile.

"What's the difference with you, the CEO of a foreign company who is very successful, smart and handsome, but just said his love clapped one hand ?" keira.

Kevin stunning.

"You're confusing me, I'd better get some sleep" Kevin said.

"You usually run away, finish your food first" Keira shook Kevin's body.

Kevin persisted, finally Keira relented to let the man rest. Suddenly his phone vibrated.

"really ? celina's condition is stable ?" ask Keira.

Kevin opened his eyes and sat down. Waiting curiously for the results of Keira's conversation through a phone call. The girl looked carefree, her smile looked so sweet. Kevin stared at the heartfelt girl. Her friendship with Celina was truly unconditionally sincere.

Keira shut down her phone.

"Celina's back, the doctor's already checked, her condition is improving, she's still holding on. Celina is still with us" cried Keira happy to let her hug Kevin.

"If you're happy, is it always like this, hugging a man carelessly ?" ask Kevin.

"No, I'm not like that" Keira said slowly releasing her embrace.

"When you got rid of your fiancee, you hugged me, too. From now on don't be like that, a girl carelessly hugs a man, still mending if it's your girlfriend, or the person you love" said Kevin.

Keira is silent on getting a talk from Kevin. Hearing Celina's condition that had returned stable made their hearts relieved. Keira wants to see the condition of his friend immediately but does not have the heart to leave Kevin.

"You don't want to see Celina ?" ask Kevin.

"Of course I want to, but what about you ?" ask Keira.

"I'm fine, go, later if I'm stronger. I will definitely be there" said Kevin.

Keira eventually leaves Kevin in his hospital room. Keira wanted to see the condition of her friend, wanting to thank her for still surviving with them.
