Don't Call Me an Actor

Don't Call Me an Actor
Chapter 2 The Shattering Miss

"If you act strangely, my boss will definitely give you the toughest punishment." That man's threat really scared me. Suddenly my hope of escape vanished instantly.

"Sir... What exactly does this mean? You told Grandma to come over to molest me?" I tried to find an opportunity hoping for a small gap, so I could escape.

"You better shut up! Come on out quickly! Follow me!" That man's orders really can't be denied. Because my left hand is held very tightly. It was like a handcuff that tightly locked my wrist. Like earlier. The man dragged me by force. Now my left hand is in a lot of pain. This guy really doesn't care how I'm feeling to ask to be let go. The man just kept dragging me. It made me not wince and just obey when it took me to a place I was so afraid of. Police station.

I was so shocked that the man in black uniform would take me to the police station. I thought he was going to kidnap me, hold me in an empty warehouse and persecute me. Because I've been considered an actor by the attached grandmother.

Another strange thing, the man who brought me seemed to understand the ins and outs of the Polresta room. I kept pulling him until he entered a room. There were more than six police officers on guard.

"Good afternoon sir, this is the suspect who has been persecuting our boss. We leave it to the police to follow up." The man who took me gave a report to one of the police.

"Good thanks. Suspect we'll check soon." The police replied firmly. The man who took me away left me alone.

"Please sit down Mom!" The police order made me look like a buffalo on his nose. I can only obey. My heart is beating fast. I've never had a problem with the police. Never mind breaking the rules, even under normal conditions I would run away when I met the uniformed police. I don't know if their aura of authority seems to threaten me. Especially at this time, when I was said to be a suspect. What have I done? Until I was dragged to the police?

"Police don't arrest me sir. I am not guilty. I was suddenly attacked by the old woman...." My defense wasn't over when the police cut my conversation.

"Sorry mbak, mbak words can be burdensome mbak later. So just follow this check. Answer each question with a short and honest answer. When you lie, there are consequences to the punishment. Do you understand?"

"Yes I understand."

This examination made me so dizzy that there were almost a hundred questions. You could say this introration is like an entrance test when I apply for a job as an office girl. Equally thrilling but with different goals. This time it's a test to determine how long I'm going to be in bars. Cold sweat soaked my nape and temples. When reality opens up before me.

Turns out it wasn't my grandmother who reported me to the police. But a man named Mr. Angga Lesmana reported me. The man was accidentally hit by a crystal glass throw, causing quite a severe injury to his head. All evidence and witnesses have been handed over to the police. So most likely today I can immediately stay at the polresta. The news that shocked me was when it was said to be a three-year prison sentence.

At the end of the checkup, the police spoke quietly to me.

"Mbak.you will not be able to fight Mr. Angga Lesmana, I suggest. Better apologize for retracting the report. That's the only way."

"Can it be like that? How can I meet him?" Ask me to try to find as much information as possible. I don't want to go to jail.

"Maybe the lawyer will come. You can convey it to him." Said the policeman offering a mouthful of salt water that made me even more wry. How do I talk tomorrow to Mr. Angga's lawyer. Don't let him be as cruel as his boss who could drag me to the police station.

Today I officially stayed at the Polresta. The bag, phone and its contents were confiscated. I haven't been able to tell Mom yet. What if he gets confused looking for me?I can only hope in God's miracles.

A police officer took me to the detention room. An iron-tested room, no mattresses or pillows. There's just an old mat. The room was empty, I probably slept here tonight. The very quiet atmosphere made the heart even more sliced. I should have gone back to the office by now. If only I hadn't acted heroically. Maybe I don't have to experience this.

This morning before I left for work Sella came to see me crying. He often gets terror from the wife of his sir's husband. She said that she did not know that her husband was still married. He wants to straighten this out. Too scared to meet her husband's wife. I offered to be his replacement. I made plans to meet with the attached grandmother myself. It wasn't as easy as I thought. I'm the month-to-month Grandma drop by. Even my face must have been completely crushed by his claws.

Sella should know what I've been through. But why didn't he come to help me when I was in trouble? Didn't he sit by the table I ordered? Many questions filled my head. Makes my head so dizzy. My eyes became blurred, everything turned pitch-black.

I don't know how long I fainted. When I opened my eyes. All around me looked white and neat. The lights of the room were blinding to the eyes. No more iron bars in the window area as well as the door. The distinctive smell of the hospital I immediately recognized. For almost two months I was in and out of the hospital to look after you.

I spread my eyes to find something to convince me that I'm not in jail now. Until a voice surprised me.

"Is it awake?" A deep and authoritative voice echoed in the quiet room.

I immediately searched for the direction of the sound. A well-built man in an expensive suit stood by my bed.
