"Chris?" Blaire frowned, as she saw a figure she never expected would come back to her house. "Is there a problem?" ask the girl. Doubt and curiosity mixed into one, presenting a huge question mark in Blaire's heart.
"How are you doing now?" ask Christian flat.
"You're new from here and you saw how I was this afternoon" said Blaire. He looked in wonder at the handsome man standing before him.
Not yet had Christian responded, from within heard the voice of a woman who was none other than Viktorija. "Who's coming, Blaire? Is it Mr Gibson? If so, just go straight into the living room," he asked.
"Christian's coming, Mom!" sahut Blaire half-cried too. However, there was no reply from Viktoriya. The middle-aged woman, suddenly, was standing behind the princess. Seeing Viktorija's whereabouts there, Christian nodded politely, though without expression or excessive attitude. As usual, it was the flat look he always showed back then.
"Oh, what a coincidence, Chris. Join us for dinner here," the middle-aged lady invited me kindly.
"Thank you, Mrs Shuterland. I'm here to talk to your daughter for a minute" said Christian flatly, but managed to make Blaire fly high. The girl immediately showed her sweet smile.
"All right then. Just come in and talk inside. It would be much more comfortable" Viktorija suggested, welcoming Christian warmly. Blaire did the same. It did not appear that he was injured at the time.
Christian was silent for a moment. A moment later, the mysterious handsome man stared motionlessly at Blaire. However, the beautiful girl did not understand the meaning of the man. Blaire raised a pair of eyebrows with an expression that was also difficult for Christian to understand.
"We'll talk here, Miss Shuterland. After all, I was in a hurry" Christian said at the end.
"Oh okay. I have to go back to the kitchen" said Viktorija. He left Blaire and Christian alone by the entrance.
After Viktorija died, Christian took a few steps until his distance became closer to Blaire. At first, the girl was astonished. However, everything was instantly lost, when Christian said something. "Do you know where Adam lived?" tanyakanya.
"Adam?" Blaire scrunched her forehead. "What's the matter between you and him?" Blaire asked back.
"Didn't you see the broadcast on television?" ask Christian again.
"That's why we're waiting for Mr. Gibson. He's the one who's gonna fix the television here. It's been two days that my mom and I can't meno ...."
"The father of your friend is dead. I learned about it from breaking news on television a moment ago, "cut Christian, who immediately made Blaire grow wide in disbelief.
"Mr Fraser?" blaire murmured with an indecipherable look. "Yes, God. What about Adam and his mother?" thought the girl half muttered.
"Give me his home address" Christian asked.
"You going there, Chris?" ask Blaire slowly. Christian only responded with a nod. "Then I have to come with you" the girl asserted. Christian seemed a little hesitant. "What's wrong. Don't underestimate me." Blaire immediately entered leaving Christian still standing at the door. There was a sound of Blaire talking to her mother. The girl said goodbye to Adam's parents' house.
Not long after, Blaire appeared wearing a beloved coat. The girl also wears matching colored knitting skulls. "Come," asked him who was preparing to leave.
"You sure you're gonna come with me?" ask Christian to doubt.
"Why indeed?" Blaire, looking uneasy, turned to Christian for a moment. "Adam was a close friend of mine. How could I leave him alone in the face of a calamity like this. I know what it's like ...." Blaire did not continue with the words she had deliberately withheld. The girl just passed by from before Christian.
Without wasting much time, Christian followed Blaire. He even walked faster than the girl next to him, until there was a distance of several steps between the two of them. While Blaire can not if had to run to catch up with the man. Unlike the usual days, before he got injured.
Christian was immediately stunned. The man then looked. “Sorry, I forgot if your waist was injured,” he said as he reached out to Blaire.
The beautiful girl was initially confused. However, in the end he welcomed the heavy hand and let Christian lead him.
“Is the Fraser family home away from here?” ask the beautiful man.
“Lumayan remote. Maybe you need to use your car,” suggested Blaire. “You have a car, don't you?”
“Yes. I have an old car in the garage.” Christian seemed to think for a moment. “Good. Then wait a minute here,” he said. Christian then leaves Blaire on the sidewalk in front of his house. Not long after, he came back again while driving an old mini cooper. “Come in,” tell him from behind the wheel.
Blaire nodded and complied, then sat down beside Christian. He drove his car slowly while following the directions of the blond girl next to him.
Half an hour later, the vehicle they were riding in had arrived at the luxury residential area of central Edinburgh. Christian's mini-cooper stopped at one of the three-story mansions that looked crowded. A lot of people come in and out of there.
“Mr Andrew is one of the most respected men in the city. He is famous as a first class lawyer. Unfortunately, the news of his death shocked many. Look at the mourners a lot,” Blaire chattering non-stop.
“Are we going to stay here or get off to see Adam?” christian asked with a fixed gaze on the Fraser family residence.
“Oh, yes. Sure.” Blaire rushes down, followed by Christian. They walked through the crowd until they made it into the living room.
Adam was the eldest of three children. He is in charge of welcoming the mourners. Her mother and two siblings are still in the hospital for an autopsy. His face that looked so glum, immediately smiled widely when he saw the figure of Blaire present there.
“You're coming?” adam exclaimed with incredulous look.
“I'm sorry.” Blaire approached the young man, then hugged him tightly for a while. He broke down the embrace after Adam stood by his side.
“I really didn't think that it would end like this.” Christian also offered his condolences as he extended his hand.
“Thank you for coming, Mr.” Adam was so moved. He shook Christian's hand and hugged the man.
“Did your father die of illness?” christian whispered shortly after releasing a hug.
“My father never complained of pain. But this morning he called and told me to go home. I didn't expect that it was a meeting between the two of us, before my father was rushed to the hospital,” Adam regretted. She looked down deeply to hide her tears.
“Did your father not order anything?” ask Christian again.
“Actually .. ada.” Adam looked at Christian with an elusive highlight. “Can you stay longer here? I want to talk to you about something" he asked.
