Thanks to a directive from Arina, Flo knows the new class and Farrell's seating position. Yes, even though Arina was no longer the classmate Farrell was in this eleventh grade, the girl was still friends with Farrell. Because after all in the new class Arina became my friend Genta who incidentally super close friend Farrell. So there's still a glue that connects Arina and Farrell, a glue called Genta.
Arriving in front of the XI class IPA 4, Flo found the space empty as she had expected and hoped. He entered, starting to count the rows of seats, trying to determine where Farrell should be sitting.
Khusuk Flo thought so hard, that he almost fell in shock when a voice greeted his eardrum.
"My chair's nyariin?"
Flo turned her head with her heart palpitating by the shock she had just suffered. No ghost encountered netranya, just a figure of a human— that he did not realize and expect to be here so early. However, instead of subsiding, his heart flaps went crazy, accompanied by the usual heartburn.
Now it has been more than three months he did not see the eyes sparkle at him. For more than three months he did not find that smile on his face. Over three months he was not called the curve of the attractive dimples of the man named Farrell. And he did not expect that under his anger and disappointment, there was still a feeling of longing that was so passionate for the man.
Two days ago, when they met in front of the school, Farrell didn't look like this. Farrell was like a sickly man who confessed his crime, but now he looked like an old friend who never cut a wound.
Farrell moved in front of Flo. Then he asked, "You want to turn this around, right?" Then he took over two of his belongings from Flo's hand. "Thank you," he added.
"Thank you" said Flo, saying. "Sorry for a long time."
"No pa-pa," Farrell replied, with an ever-widening smile. "I'm sorry too."
A part of the angry Flo tells him to leave immediately, but half of him who was touched yesterday enough to note Farrell's apology prevents him from escaping. A corner of him ordered him to speak, asking for an explanation for the reason Farrell again tried to invade his days.
"Nobody needs to be forgiven" said Flo, looking down, not daring to look into the eyes of the interlocutor.
"There's."
Flo just shut up, wait.
"I'm sorry I disappeared and avoided. I don't mean to make you baper and leave you that way."
It felt like Flo denied that he was not carried away by his ego, but he knew it was useless. By reading the notes he had placed on the surface of the fish jar**** yesterday, Farrell would have gotten verification of his words just now.
"I had to."
Farrell was forced to leave him for his ex? Flo doubted that.
"I really liked you back then, Flo..."
Flo freeze. His heart jumped. On his side, the butterflies are dancing. All the blood on his body reacted, they ran over his face without exception.
"Also at this time."
After trying as hard as possible to calm down, Flo raised her face. And at once his eyes rubbed with Farrell's deeply drawn gaze. In nervousness and confusion, Flo nemerka-nerka does Farrell once again play tricks on her. But he only found sincerity there. Making Flo shudder in horror when suddenly the figure of Karina was imagined in his eyes. Why does he often forget the fact that Farrell now has a perfect girl?
"It's just not the right time for that."
"Because you turned your ex around?" tanya Flo, spontaneous. His throat felt choked when he asked that question.
"Reverse?" farrell asked, he looked confused and surprised at once. "Who's the guy?"
Flo's silent. He did not want to answer a clear question.
"Flo?"
"Karina," Flo's great-grandson. Then he turned his face away.
"I don't take Karina back, Flo. I did date him in Junior High, but it's been over a long time" Farrell said. "Karina also has a guy, and his guy is my friend—Alby. You can ask Karina yourself if you don't believe."
Don't tell me he misunderstood all this time?
"Do you know from whom I turned Karina?"
From whom?
Flo saw it for himself. That day, in the parking lot. He sees Farrell piggybacking on Karina and then learns an old story about the two of them. When it was— when he needed an excuse for Farrell's attitude, he immediately concluded that the most-wanted-couple was back together. It's not wrong, is it? What reason would you try better than that?
"I saw it for myself."
"Wrigging what?" ask Farrell, seriously.
"Well you're with Karina in the parking lot, keep you going with her." Once spoken, Flo realized how ridiculous the answer was.
Clearly reflected the inner upheaval on Farrell's face, between pity and wanting to laugh. Making Flo who witnessed it was an incredible embarrassment.
"How many times have you seen me go with Karina?" ask Farrell, smile.
"Once," Flo replied.
"Kalo go together once means dating, continue my relationship with you what is it? We often go together, even I once sucked you out of town. Meaning we should be more than dating, dong?"
Flo's speechless. Logically, it's true.
"But your relationship with Karina and your relationship with me are different. You're the same Karina was once more than a friend."
"And I am the same you will be more than friends" Farrell said, affirming the word 'will'.
Again, Flo fell silent. Perplexities. So, if he misunderstands, what is the reason Farrell avoids him? Why did he say their timing wasn't right?
"Why are you avoiding Karina?" ask Flo, get up the courage.
This time, replace the silent Farrell. He seemed to be caught in a heavy dilemma.
"I can't say" said Farrell, heavily. "I have to keep a secret."
Flo looked at Farrell coldly. So Farrell meant, he expected Flo to forgive him so easily without needing to get a proper reason and explanation for his actions?
"But believe me, Flo, the reason I stayed away from us before wasn't because of Karina or any girl. I'm just stuck on a promise I have to keep, that's all."
"What promise?" ask Flo, more confused.
"I can't say, Flo."
"Who's the guy?" urge Flo.
"Sorry, Flo. I can't say." Farrell shook his head in despair.
"That's sorry, I can't forgive you without a good reason and explanation, Rell."
"Okay, if that's the case, don't apologize. We forget everything, we start at the beginning."
Even colder, Flo replies, "I can't pretend to be amnesiac." Then he turned and sauntered away leaving Farrell unmoved.
