"Fuck!"

Flo was just about to open the gate of her house when Arina exclaimed, stopping her. Makes her super tired and want to immediately replace school uniforms with loose shirts, sigh resignedly.

Hopefully whatever Arina's business with him is done soon so that he can enter the house to fall. Because not only was his body tired, his brain was as well. But make no mistake, it is not a matter of lesson that makes his brain tired, but because the thought of Farrell continues to undermine him.

"Why?" ask Flo.

Arina stopped in front of him, clearly excited. This is very contrary to what he feels now.

"My company, yuk?"

Gosh... Flo.

"Where?"

"Front flower shop" replied Arina cheerfully. "Januar wants to take me to his birthday dinner. So I'm gonna bring flowers for the next one in January."

"When are you going to the flower shop?"

"Now dong, Flo, tomorrow."

"Should it be now?"

"Yes." Yeah." Arina nodded enthusiastically. "I want to get ready too. You know I'll be ready for that long."

Well, Flo is often surprised by Arina's habit. Though Arina is already very beautiful without wearing any makeup, but why did she stay so long when dressed to go out?

"Yes, I changed my clothes first" said Chilla, continuing her intention to open the fence that had been delayed.

"OK," said Arina. "Gue wait at home. Bring the bike, Flo," he added.

"Mmm," Flo muttered, accompanied by a weak nod.

And here's Flo now. Riding Arina on her bike to the flower shop.

Along the way Flo just kept quiet, listening to Arina blabbering about all sorts of things. Occasionally he only spoke briefly, showing that he listened to—if it was not.

In less than ten minutes, Flo had already parked her bike in front of a small flower shop on the corner of the street. Thankfully the place was empty, so he did not have to worry about waiting in line for long.

The bell above the door rang as Arina pushed the glass door open. Then they were greeted by the friendly smile of a middle-aged woman behind the sales counter.

Flo let Arina get close to the shopkeeper or maybe his picker—that's why he didn't take a dizzy—someone. As he turned around, exploring the shop, looking at the flowers displayed in large glass vases. There are red, white, pink, and yellow roses. There are also tulips, peonies, lilies, gandenia flowers, hydrangeas, carnations, sunflowers, and chrysanthemums of various colors.

The long view is anchored on the yellow chrysanthemum flowers there. The yellow chrysanthemum reminded him of Genta. Because Genta once gave her a large bouquet of flowers at the end of her last ballet performance. It was the first flower she received from a friend. Although it had dried, he still kept the flower in a vase on his dressing table. He felt it was a precious flower.

"Yellow gravestone?" a foreign voice asked, making Flo turn away. And he found a strange face of an old grandmother full of life standing by his side. The grandmother's face had a resemblance to the counter guard woman he first met when entering earlier.

Only a faint smile was given in return for the question posed by the grandmother.

"Do you like this flower?" Grandma asked. He swallowed a yellow chrysanthemum flower from his vase.

"Yes." Flo replied hesitantly. "Actually I've been given a friend once."

"Male?" the old grandmother asked again, holding out a flower in her hand to Flo— who received it with a small nod.

"She must have thought you were more than a friend."

The words he had just heard made Flo stare at the old nenet face who was smiling full of understanding. It was as if he knew exactly what was going on between Flo and Genta.

"Because the yellow chrysanthemum flower means mengikhlaskan."

This time Flo was really stunned. His face immediately fell on a flower in his hand.

Yellow chrysanthemum.

Chalk up?

A clapper?

"He must be a good friend" said the Grandmother before passing.

Yeah. thought Flo. Genta is very good. Genta understood it well too.

***

Just like yesterday, Farrell was waiting for Flo across the street to leave for school together, still the same distance away. Similar to earlier days, Flo found a bottle of a drink high in vitamin C on her desk. But unlike in the past, Flo now feels he has a little enlightenment. So today his mind is much calmer and in control.

Flo's phone shook shortly after the new teacher left the classroom. Soon he pulled the thing out of the drawer. And there was a message from Mr. Firza who asked him to go to the OSIS room. There will be a meeting with the responsible and filler of the school anniversary next month.

Flo sighed tired, but he left. He doesn't like to be in a strange room, but he likes ballet.

Flo steps stopped when going down the stairs. Lots of boys hanging out along the ranks of the steps to the first floor.

In one scan, Flo's eyes found Farrell and Genta there. The two sat on different steps, yet seemed to laugh at the same joke.

Farrell turned his head as Flo looked at the side of his face. For a moment, their eyes flashed, before Flo hurriedly shifted her focus.

Simultaneously, everyone on the stairs looked at Flo. Makes it really uncomfortable. It was like being under a low-light indoor floodlight.

Upon seeing Flo, a large group of Farrell and Genta's friends pulled over, clinging to a wall or a ladder handle. Funnier. It turns out they are not as scary as their appearance is similar to a delinquent.

Flo braced herself, then went down the stairs. He was careful not to touch or step on anyone.

It feels like a long time it takes to go down a row of stairs one floor. Usually it only takes a few seconds.

"Which kid, anyway?"

"IPA looks like it."

"Vibe son of IPA really."

Flo heard the people he had passed over talking about it. They must feel foreign to him.

"Where are you going, Flo?" greet Genta as Flo stepped before him.

"OSIS room," Flo's great-grandson, accompanied by a faint smile. Glad to have a reason not to look at Farrell sitting two steps below Genta, on the opposite side.

"So know you, Ta!" one of the students on the stairs taunted Genta.

"Know!" sahut Genta sewot. "My victory is. IPA child."

Friends...

Flo smiled with relief as she passed the stressful stairs. It was nice to arrive on the first floor. But he was more pleased with Genta's answer about him.

Buddies.

What a fun word.

***

As usual after school broke up, Flo did not immediately go home. He will work on PR first—which makes him seem to be diligent, even though there is a reason for it. That habit has to do with his stepbrother.

Since her mother remarried and they had to live with their father and new brother, Flo felt a little depressed when she was at home. The reason was Fabian, of course. It doesn't feel good to be at home with someone who hates you. So he always postponed his return home under the pretext of doing chores. And even though Fabian is now in college outside the city, his habit of going home late is still awake. Because it has become a habit.

"First yes, Flo," said a classmate who had just finished his picket assignment.

"Yes," Flo replied. Show a thin smile.

So he stayed alone with the sound of clockwork that sounded louder.

To get rid of the silence, Flo starts to turn on the music and wears earphones. Then he was again busy counting a number of numbers on used paper to solve mathematical problems, before continuing to do other tasks.

During the struggle with numbers, his brain was working full. Sebetulnya awake. Unfortunately, that focus did not last as he began reading long texts on the H5N1 virus in English print books. His eyes are starting to get heavy. Not to mention the music that fills the jungle contributes to the comfort that makes you more sleepy. Until finally he was no longer strong and ended up laying down his cheeks.

I don't know how long he slept, Flo wasn't sure. What was clear, he suddenly woke up to the song that had just played, roaring in his ears. Make it spontaneously pull off the earphone and turn off the song. At that time, his phone screen showed at 16:54.

Holy hooch!

It's kesorean. Putting her things inside in a hurry. He cursed his boredom until he could fall asleep in this class. Where the English task has not been done at all. It may...

It didn't take long, he had already sailed quickly towards the door. His hands were still busy attaching the two backpack straps on his shoulders snugly. But his haste soon subsided as he passed the doorway.

There's Farrell over there.

Sitting cross-legged next to the door with a backpack on my back. Head bowed. Probably asleep.

But why did Farrell sleep in front of his class? Is he waiting for her? If so, the man should have gone in instead of sleeping here alone and looking miserable.

Don't say it because of the distance he asked for!

Aish...

Flo is really faced with a big dilemma between having to keep quiet and leaving Farrell awake by himself, or does he have to wake the man up and damage the distance he has stretched?

Ah, you fool. Flo finally decided. He chose to keep going without waking Farrell up first.

But the feeling evaporated quickly. Just three steps, he was already too restless, and finally stopped stepping.

How could he possibly leave the person who had fallen asleep just because he was waiting for him. His heart is not that frozen.

So Flo turned around, again stepping closer to Farrell. After sighing on display, he said, "Farrell," gently. It was meant to wake up, but it seemed that his voice was too slow. And he tried again. "Farrells... Rell..."

Still no answer.

Starting to get impatient, Flo decides to bend over, tapping Farrell's shoulder with a louder call.

Finally, his efforts showed results. Farrell started moving. So Flo re-enforced his body, although his head was still down, waiting for Farrell to fully realize.

"Flo?" call Farrell, his voice hoarse, typical of a newly awakened person. There was shock in the man's eyes as his eyes were rubbed with Flo's eyes.

"Mm" muttered Flo, extending her hand.
