Both of his parents are busy working out there. More precisely, being in the land of Sakura. Both of Alif's parents also always ignore the existence of Alif. Just greeting Alif alone, it seems they seem reluctant to do so.
Alif also has physical limitations. While other children can run and walk freely, Alif must accept the fact that he must sit on a wheelchair.
Slowly, the cry of Alif who had always been held finally could not be dammed anymore.
Alif is getting tired. Alif also wants to just complain. At least, he wanted to have a one-time friend. That's enough. However, his friends also always underestimated the state of Alif. Always ignore Alif because of his limitations.
Is Alif useless in this world?” ogre. A second later, “Gapapa Alif! You are not alone, though. There is a God who is always there for you!” continued. Trying to encourage yourself.
While sobbing in the hot sun, “Hai!” greet a man with his sturdy body. The man crouched down, trying to align himself with Alif. Alif's hand tried to wipe away the tears. But was arrested by the man. “Hei, Boy. It's okay to cry,” back the man said. Alif is down. She came back crying without a sound.
Without saying anything more, the man known to Alif's neighbors rubbed Alif's head gently. “Name brother, Abidzar.”
Alif raised his head. “I Alif,” Reply.
“Alif. Alif want to know something?” tanya Abidzar was interspersed with a soothing smile. Alif nodded slowly. “Alif is great. The proof, Alif can survive with the current state of Alif. Thank you for always being strong. One thing Alif needs to know, in this world no one is created in vain. Perhaps, Alif could not be like the other children. When they can freely run, or just walk. But Alif could only watch on this wheelchair. You know that feeling. Must hurt, huh?” Abidzar stopped his speech when he saw Alif wanted to say something.
“Bang. The brother was the first to say such a thing to Alif. Can you continue saying brother again?” tawar Alif's. Abidzar was stunned listening to that. He thought he wanted to be like Alif. However, who would have thought if Alif's life was not as lucky as him who received enough affection and support from both parents.
Abidzar smiled, holding Alif's hand. Then continue his words back. “This is according to brother, it's okay if you disagree. Okay?” Alif nodded. “Try to accept yourself. Slowly. Because you deserve to be happy. Achieve your dreams, achieve whatever you want while it's good. But it has to be in a good way, yeah. Alif Spirit!” Abidzar.
Alif, who had lowered his head, looked at Abidzar. “Bang, once again thank you. Thank you for saying that.” Abidzar smiled and nodded, as his hands gently rubbed Alif's head. “You want to take you home?” ask Abidzar. Alif smiled, then shook his head slowly. “Okay, alright Alif.” After that, Abidzar left after saying farewell to Alif.
Alif looked at Abidzar's back which was getting further away. Slowly Alif also began to move from the park when water spots began to fall, greeting the earth to be wetted.
Alif chose to leave at a bus stop near his home. It was seen that a woman older than Alif was sitting there relaxed. The woman was wearing sunglasses. And, a stick? Wh-wh-what for? Alif wondered.
Just a few steps away Alif arrived in front of the bus stop, the woman said. “Who are you?”
“I Alif,” Reply Alif. He saw that the woman was just nodding her head slowly. “Can I shade here?” ask Alif.
“Can only. It's a public place,” said the woman with a thin smile that was described.
“Are you the son of Mr Widyanata Angkasa?” chirps. Alif was stunned. A second later he nodded. After that, there was no conversation between them. And the rain seems to have started to subside. “Looks like I have to go home, do you still want to be here? If so, I'll be with you again. But I want to buy drinking water first,”.
“I'm staying here, brother. Eum...but if brother wants to go home, just go home.”
“Alright, you just wait here. I'll be back,”. The woman stood up from her seat, using a stick that she had originally folded in her dresser pocket.
As far as the woman was concerned, Alif was still wondering. Who is that woman? Alif was still watching the woman. At the end of the road, Alif saw the woman folding the stick she had originally worn. He was made more curious. “Ah, gone,” shrewd Alif.
But, it's true. The woman came back. With two bottles he put in his plastic bag.
“You want?” bargained for. Alif wanted to refuse, but it was not nice with the woman in front of him who had bought it for him. “Take it. I'm not a bad guy,”. The woman chuckled softly. Finally, Alif's hand received the bottle. “Thank you.”
“Sama-sama.”
“Home brother where?” alif asked after sipping the water. “My house is in the G.” block
Alif stunned. Block G if the walk to get here takes 30 minutes. “Sorry brother, I want to ask. Why didn't you just ride Montor? Wouldn't that save time and slightly reduce fatigue?”
“You're very polite, just like your mother. It'sit's okay. Oh yes Alif, it seems we have not met. Brother's name, Star. Brother will answer your question.” Star paused his speech, “Kakak is destined to have advantages. Blind brother.”
Back Alif stunned, “Sorry kak.”
Stars chuckles. “This you, yes. Gapapa kalik.”
Alif's mind went back to fighting. Did ya? But why did the star not use his wand while there? And then the star knew himself. Where could I come from?
“It looks like there is a question you want to ask,” chirp Bintang as if it can read Alif's mind. Interspersed with the sound of a slow laugh.
“Hehe, yes kak.”
“I am not blind from birth. Except for the accident when I was a kid. I was five years old then. I'm with my dad. We go on a motorcycle together. But qadarullah, the car with a fast speed hit us both. The incident occurred in the blink of an eye,” Star sighed for a while, then smiled thinly.
“After the incident, I was declared blind. And must be treated immediately. However, my father does not have enough funds to treat me.” The star stopped his words. He looked at Alif, then opened the sunglasses that were neatly anchored in both pairs of eyes. Star's gray eyes were staring at Alif, but his gaze was blank.
“However, like a normal human being.I cried. Gradually, I tried to accept the incident. After two years of my father trying to raise money, I returned to the test.” The star stopped his words. Breathing back feels tight.
“If it is not strong to tell it, next time it is okay, Kak,” said Alif.
Stars shake. “On my seventh birthday, my father came home. The fact that I have to accept, my father has cancer. And must use the funds he has collected so far. A few years after that, my mother married again. The pain that I have been receiving all this time, I have to be alone. I fear. I'm afraid I'll get a wicked stepfamily. Looks like I was eaten by soap operas on television,” he explained. Looking at the Star who was laughing softly, Alif also chuckled.
“However, Alhamdulillah. My stepfamily welcomed me. My stepfather had a daughter. And I'm comfortable with him. Little sister, whom I used to want.”
Seeing the Star that did not pause his words, Alif asked, “Sorry brother. Then, where did you know me? And, wasn't it just that big brother at the other end walked around not using a cane?”
The star smiled, both hands back he used to wear his sunglasses. “Alif, God gave me a deficiency. But God also gave me advantages. Maybe I can't see the road. But I can calculate the distance of the road, how long it would take me with my feet. By His power, I can memorize the way. I know the perfume you use. Just like your mom and dad. Right?”
“Mashaa Allah. Right,” amazed Alif.
“Allah is Most Fair, Alif. Allah is Most Just in devising His plan,” the Light of the Stars.
“There are many things for us to reflect on how good God is, how Just God is. We, originally formed from a drop of semen. And thanks to His power, we can develop well until now. Take a look at the tree,” Stars pointed to a papaya tree in the corner of a house. “The papaya tree, originally formed from small seeds planted in the ground. On His greatness, we can enjoy the fruit. Other trees also produce oxygen that we breathe every second. Isn't that a manifestation of His affection for us?” Stars breathe a long breath, “There are many things around us that we can contemplate. A bunch. Very much indeed. But sometimes we are negligent. Lalai will enjoy from Him.”
Alif. How much less grateful he is. “Astagfirullah..” says.
The star looks at the watch in his right hand when it rings. “It's two o'clock in the afternoon, I have to go home,”.
Alif staring at Stars, “Wait,” prevent it.
“What's up, Alif?”
“Please, don't reject this. I'll call my personal driver,” urged Alif.
The star breathed slowly. “Alright, young master. Thank you very much.”
Alif grunting. “Do not call me young master. Call me Alif, Kak.” The star laughed softly after hearing the protest from Alif.
As a star, Alif decided to go home. He began to pick up books, keeping track of his daily goals.
Alif believes that he can. He could be a famous writer who would inspire many people.
Day after day until years Alif passed. Wake up in the middle of the night to make his alphabet, and ask Him for help. Various obstacles he got. Starting from completing the script that sometimes stuck, and his parents who scorned Alif, said to Alif harsh words that he could never. However, Alif did not care about that. Because he just wants to achieve his dream. ,
Failure after failure came over, just greeting Alif and testing how hard Alif was. Alif was rejected in dozens of small publishers. Sometimes, however, he rested. Heart nourish. Reverse. Appeal to Him.
It was in Alif's mind to publish in a major publisher. Feelings of doubt began to fill the recesses of his mind. But Alif tried to be sure. Night after night passed.
Until at the end..
“Congratulations, your script we accept. Please fill out the form below, for our publishing access.” The writing was clearly displayed on Alif's laptop screen. Alif's feelings are mixed. Happy, haru, begin to surround his heart and mind.
One more step for Alif. One more step to achieve his dream.
Unknowingly, all of that brought him in today. On a day of hope for Alif. Thousands of people were waiting for him. Looking forward to the inspirational story that came out of Alif's mouth. “There will be one day, which makes us miss all that. Journey after journey full of brunt, failures alternating. Like the waves that continuously erode the hardness of the rocks on the beach. Without us realizing it, all of it makes us strong to receive great success later on. Our self-appreciation
The thunderous applause rang out in Alif's hearing as he began to leave the stage. In the corner of the room there, both of Alif's parents cried. Crying will be the success of Alif at the age of 18 years.
Muhammad Alif Space. Alif, with his limitations. Alif, with the words of the ancients often make it worse…
