Ghost Hunt: Panic in the Country
Vol. 0: I Lost | 12. The Death of Bena

Along with Bena saying goodbye, a light gathered within the circle, making Tiora in pain and shouting. In just a few seconds, the light disappeared like it was swallowed by the earth and Tiora. Similarly, on the floor where Rei's two friends were fighting, the two figures were part of Tiora. They will also disappear. After the disappearance of Tiora who became fine dust, Bena quickly walked over to Rei, the older brother. With his weak and limped steps, Bena had been in front of Rei.

Bena extended his right hand until he touched the protective circle. In an instant the protector with blue mixed with white was gone. Bena began to position himself by crouching in front of Rei who was staring at him with sparkling eyes and was speechless for now. Seeing this, Bena just put a sweet smile on her face without showing her sadness.

“What Brother. Rei okay?” asked Bena with a smile on her face.

“Ya,” Rei replied with a slightly vibrating voice.

Bena gave a right hand to help Rei stand up from his seat. With a hint of awkwardness Rei received Bena's helping hand and stood up. It was not long after that the two friends of Rei had arrived at the fourteenth floor. They were quite surprised when they saw Rei and Bena, without asking further, Rei asked Hugo to return the apartment owners. At the same time allow walls and items that are no longer perfectly shaped. After everything returned to its original state, they exited the building and coincided with the midnight that had passed.

The clock shows at 03:00 in the morning. They decided to return to the headquarters and report the results of the work. At the headquarters Rei was in the leader's room and gave his report. After he finished reporting, Rei descended the stairs with quick steps. Rei saw some members of the organization who were not working were surrounding Bena. With a quick walk Rei pulled Bena from the building and went home. Arriving at the apartment, Rei went into his room. Taking off all his clothes and very clearly Bena saw small wounds scratching the white skin of Rei. Bena approached Rei and grabbed his right hand, with full of confusion Rei let out a voice to ask.

“What do you do?” ask Rei.

“Healing the wounds on the body Brother. Rei,” Bena replied so casually.

“Your energy has been drained, I can cure it myself.” Rei replied by pulling a hand from Bena's grasp. Rei headed towards a small table, pulled the drawer and took the medicine to heal the wounds on his body.

Rei sat on the bed and with a slow movement he applied the paste-shaped medicine. Rei endured the pain, pain, and did not show any expression on his face until the last stroke, he kept the medicine in a small table drawer. Rei turned his body and positioned himself facing Bena who was sitting in front of him. For a few seconds they looked at each other, until Rei sighed softly.

“Can you tell me everything?” asked Rei by giving his serious gaze.

“Yes, maybe this will be very long once.” Bena said with great enthusiasm.

In just seconds, flashbacks of Bena's past story spin and he begins to tell it. Starting from the day Bena died to finally become a prisoner. It was right in 2016, precisely Bena was 14 years old and had just entered the First Level Academy(ATS). Bena was in a passenger-filled city transport, the air inside was very hot, crowded, and smelly, but Bena had gotten used to it. Not long after, city transportation stopped on a busy roadside. With Bena's careful steps down and giving away 3 Weals, he walked away until passing through several houses and small shops. Bena stopped in front of the small house, the walls were dull white with rusty iron gates. The home page looks small, but still can to put clothes drying tools. Slowly Bena pushed the iron gate that gave rise to a loud ringing sound.

With a slow step Bena entered the house that looks lonely. He kept calling out the names of his two older sisters, but there were no words at all. Bena headed to her bedroom and put a black backpack on the study chair. Afterwards, Bena came out with a white towel on his shoulder. He rolled the bathroom doorknob and his eyes caught the figure of a woman about 16 years old immersing herself in a white bathtub. The woman was shocked as her eyes caught Bena standing in the doorway. The woman disappeared from the bathroom without cleaning it. Disregarding her, Bena entered and took a bath. Not long Bena came out with a towel on the body. Bena returned to the bedroom and wore a black suit.

“You know, the movement will begin. Although I am a new member and still young, but I still have to run this job. I also earn money and can ease my school fees a little.” Bena said so long by including items necessary for his work.

“Already Emily, we can't make Bena change his mind,” said a man who has a stocky and tall body. With a rough sigh, Emily could only give up without saying any more words.

After Bena finished his preparations. They came out and Bena put a paper that read a message. A smile was forced to be clearly painted on Bena's face, but then it disappeared and a smile with a serious expression of coldness. They had been in front of a simple apartment building. With a slow step Bena enter through the page, to see the door that says ‘Customer Service’. Bena walked over and knocked on the door several times. The door opened and revealed a man with gray hair. Bena sat down when the man asked for it. His two eyes obscured the room full of bookshelves.

Not long after the man gave the bottled mineral water and Bena drank it quickly. They talked about the work Bena would do. After the talks, Bena received a letter containing a permit to work as well as a brief explanation of Bena's abilities. When in the middle of the trip there was a dispute between three figures who had a contract with Bena, but he did not bother at all. They stopped when they got in front of a house. He pushed the bell until a long-haired woman opened the gate. Bena walked along the woman into the house and sat in the living room. Soon the woman returned with the boy to her left and another tall and burly.

They sat down in front of Bena and began to speak formal language. Bena just nodded in understanding. Afterwards, the couple left the boy with Bena. The boy was quiet and busy with his toy car. Bena tries to invite the child to talk and get acquainted.

“My name is Bena, if you?” ask Bena.

“Astan Putra Ugraha,” replied the boy.

With a smile, Bena approached and played with Astan. It did not feel like time was going fast, the blue sky had turned dark. While they were sitting and still playing, the sound of the door opening made Bena look away. In a hurry, a woman came in and held Astan's hand.  Bena also followed him without being instructed. However, three people dressed in all black had been waiting in front of the house. Bena quickly prepared to fight. The three people looked extremely disdainful of Bena. Without moving from its place, one of them attacked. However, Bena can withstand it with root magic that belongs to Emily. A root protector encircles Bena, Astan and his mother. Out of the protective circle of the cracks, he stood with his right hand ready to pull the sword in his left hand.

However, when Bena just pulled it a little. An attack hit him right and felt all over his body. Fresh blood could be seen coming out from Bena's mouth which was extremely shocked. In an instant Bena collapsed with the loss of the silver sword in Bena's left hand. Similarly, the contract mark on Bena's right hand was covered by clothes, but the dim light could still penetrate the thick cloth.

“That's how I died,” said Bena ending the short story of his death.

“You died by suicide,” said Rei denying Bena's explanation. Bena, who was shocked by Rei's words, could only remain silent with his disbelief. Rei reassures her and even shows her news of Bena's death.

“We continue tomorrow only. I want to sleep,” said Rei turned off the phone and put himself to sleep.
