Ghost Hunt: Panic in the Country
Vol. 0: I Lost | 3. Two Old Friends

Not long after that the servant returned to their table. A tray of food and drink was placed on the table. They eat dishes, chew so slowly, and occasionally chat.

“Since when are you in Jayapa?” Endra asked with his mouth still chewing slowly.

“Three months ago, how about you?” Astan answered with a wry smile and asked back.

“Since I graduated first-rate academy,” replied Endra completing his eating activities.

“It's been a very long time,” timpal Astan.

“After this, where are you going?” ask Endra back.

“I don't know either," Astan replied.

“What if we talk at my house?” tawar Endra's.

“Can? Aren't you back at work?” ask Astan. To make sure that he is not disturbing.

“I only take half working hours.” Endra answered so casually.

After lunch, they went to the bus stop. Cheerfully and with laughter, the two went to Endra's residence. They were in front of a large tall building. Astan's eyes widened in shock filled with awe, continuously obscuring the building as he walked in. They had arrived and Endra entered a password, within seconds the door opened itself. They entered and headed for a well-organized sofa, located right in the middle of the room.

Astan sat down while obscuring every corner of the room, something that flashed caught his eye. Soon Endra returned with a tray of white cups and put them on the table. In a hurry Astan gulped down a glass of water and put it back.

“Do you live here by yourself?” ask Astan.

“Here are three people, and we joint to pay for this apartment. Do you want to join? Still one more bed?” ask Endra.

“No, I've been living with my brother.” Astan answered with a small smile.

“Can you still see it?” ask Endra.

“Ah, that's yes.” Astan answered in a slow tone.

“How about this apartment? Is there anything strange?” Endra asked again with enthusiasm and enthusiasm.

“I didn't see it clearly, it was just as big as it was.” Astan answered slowly.

“It seems like it's not a problem. If you do not disturb each other,” said Astan with a smile.

They spent time playing games together until the clear sky had begun to darken. Astan remembered the words of his brother who needed to go home quickly. Astan put the game joystick and asked permission to go home. He stood by the roadside feeling uneasy, the anger of the elder brother was more terrifying than that of the teacher. That's thinking.

When the taxi he booked arrived, Astan rushed in. Approximately 30 minutes drive to his residence. A tall building looks so clear, but the color of the walls has faded and looks old. Astan got out and walked quickly towards the elevator, standing with a restless feeling that still haunted him. Feeling that time was running slowly, Astan decided to head for the emergency stairs. Run with all the energy and only need to pass through 13 floors, until Astan stopped at one last step.

Astan's breath sounded so breathless. Astan's eyes caught an inscription on the side wall of the door. A large red figure is clearly visible, "14" that's the number on the dull white wall. He walked towards the right aisle with a slight shunt, the lights had been lit even though they were not so bright. Astan stopped when he reached the door of number 44 and knocked on the door.

A few seconds later it opened, revealing a long-haired woman. Instan enters and closes the door again. Walk towards the sofa and sit down with your head lowered so deeply. In just a few seconds a woman began to blabber quickly, Astan regained the anger of his older brother, something he was desperate to avoid. The woman stopped the sound and they sat down with a view of the table full of food.

Among them there was no one who spoke and was only busy with their respective eating activities until only the typical sound of plates and spoons was heard. However, their silence did not last long. When Rei Akarina–kakak both Astan had finished the rice along with the side dishes. Rei nagged Astan again with so much irritation. The clock kept moving, until five minutes had passed. Rei decided to leave those who had not finished eating dinner.

Astan's face looked irritated which began to creep. Astan ate his dinner quickly, but his hand movements came to a halt as Rui Akarina—kakak first Astan, spoke so softly. Make the heart upset Instant melt instantly and eat food slowly.

“Don't put it to heart, said Kak Rei, he just felt worried.” Rui spoke again with a gentle smile on her face.

“I know,” replied Astan slowly, shortly after he finished the food on the plate.

“So, how was the interview today?” ask Rui.

“As usual, only boring interviews.” Astan answered lazily.

“You can't give up like that. Surely you will get a job, brother sure it.” Rui again gave encouraging words to Astan, but only replied with a sweet smile.

Rei came out of the room with a brochure in his right hand.  Making them give a look to Rei who had been sitting next to Rui. Rei put a brochure on the table.

“That brochure about job fair will be held at Santya Academy. It's meant for the public, so you can come. No need to register.” Rei explained briefly.

“Alright," replied Astan in his soft voice and picked up the brochure.

After Astan received the brochure, they spent time as sister—adik. Tell each other about their problems to what plans will be done later. Astan also told about his meeting with his friend. Without feeling the time goes so fast, the night increasingly pick up the cold air. Rei asked Astan to clear the table. He closed the door and began washing all the cutlery. When he was in focus, there was only the sound of water, wind, and clockwork. However, Astan faintly listened to the voice of the crying woman. Not caring about it, Astan continues to clean the dishes along with other kitchen tools. When he finished, Astan went to his room, but he stopped when the apartment door opened. Rei entered without making a sound and quickly walked towards the door of his room.

“Don't forget, turn off the lights.” Rei spoke quickly and rushed into his room.

With a helpless face, he simply obeyed all of Rei Akarina's words. Turn off the lights and head to the room to rest. Instant turned off the room lights using her smart phone, she put the phone right next to her sleeping pillow. He stared at the roof of the wall and began to pray in his heart. Afterwards Astan began counting the sheep until drowsiness had come attacking mercilessly. A pair of eyelids closed quickly. There was the sound of breathing that began to be regular accompanied by a smooth snoring. Astan's face looks so peaceful in deep sleep. Not with what happens in the dream. Astan was very astonished, when he was in a cold dark room. Even Astan could see nothing at all until a flash of light appeared, giving him hope.
