Ghost Hunt: Panic in the Country

Ghost Hunt: Panic in the Country
Vol. 0: I Lost | 2. Misadventure Figures

Not long ago Astan had finished his meal and said goodbye to go for a job interview. He has been in Jayapa City for three months and has not found a job at all. Astan felt at the age of eighteen he was only unemployed, even though he had just graduated from the academy 4 months ago. He walked towards the elevator, taking the hallway right side from the position of the apartment door. The flickering of the lights did not make Astan afraid because it was already daily food. He stopped in front of the elevator, waiting until the sound of ‘ting’ rang out and himself rushed in. There was the sound of a female guide, along with a moving elevator. Astan was just silent waiting until the first floor, but he only realized something. The elevator kept going up until it stopped right on the 24th floor, he tried to calm himself down and catch his breath. His head was bowed by playing with his feet on the iron pedestal, knocking on the floor until several people entered. The number of people in the elevator was 5. All were silent and standing in their respective places. Astan still lowered his head, but he did not close his eyes. He noticed one of the legs of someone who looked so blue that the elevator stopped on the first floor.

Astan walked away from the tall, big, old building. An unkempt building, the color of the walls fades, and the white is no longer as bright as 20 years ago. After passing through the spacious apartment yard, there are several private car vehicles, taxis, motorcycles, and bicycles. Astan takes the right road to the bus stop. Along the way, many vehicles passed by without stopping. His voice was so piercing to the hearing device, but he only ignored all the sounds. Enjoy the atmosphere of the morning with small steps, without feeling the bus stop has been in sight. People had filled the seats, some were forced to stand to wait for the arrival of the bus. Astan stood up occasionally looking around and at the figure who was in the elevator. The figure was standing on the side of the road with its entire body turning blue. His school clothes were so wet, hair was messy, both legs were injured, and blood was coming out of his head. The female figure's gaze was so cold and had absolutely no emotions.

By trying not to feel afraid Astan was taking her so seriously. But he just realized something. The number of people in the elevator was not five, but there were only four people. Plus the figure of the girl in the school uniform. He was silent for a moment as he remembered it, but the sound of the bus vehicle stopping was heard. Astan thought that the figure was human, when in the elevator. Because he had seen teenage children in the apartment was cosplaying to be a character Hium. They all walked in by putting 5 Weals into a box. Astan sat right by the window quietly, putting the backpack on his lap. After all the passengers got in, the bus started to leave the stop. However, Astan still had time to pay attention to the figure of the woman until it was no longer visible.

He stared straight ahead, the sound of horns filling the streets, they all seemed impatient and in a hurry to work. The bus stopped several times to pick up passengers until it became increasingly crowded and hot. The air conditioner no longer feels make the oxygen inside thin. Astan accidentally caught a strange figure, a little girl covered in blood with a doll in hand. The girl sat in the chair opposite to her. Astan stood up as the pair of black eyes of the little girl stared at him sharply. To avoid the girl, Astan walked towards the door and waited for the next stop. The bus stopped, making the glass door open automatically. People were scattering out, stepping cautiously. For a moment Astan stood up and stared at the light blue bus. He sighed after the bus left, as if he had been freed from something.

Astan rushed off to a tall building that had about 60 floors. Confidently, Astan opened the glass door and entered. He stood right in front of the elevator with his legs, tapping on the cream-colored floor. Two minutes later, the door opened. Astan stepped into the silent elevator, pressing the number 44 and darted up quickly. It only took a few minutes, Astan was already on the floor he was aiming for. Astan darted out walking towards the office room of the design company. Although a little confused, but Astan can find the company. The thick glass door. Instant entered and joined some of the people who were sitting.  They just sat in silence and so did they. Astan did not even move at all, until a female voice called out his name. Astan stood up, following the woman in neat clothes and long hair dangling.

He was sitting in front of a man who was focusing on his application file. For a few seconds, there was no sound from the two of them. Only seconds of clockwork and air from the air conditioning device were heard. Astan sat quietly, putting both hands on his thighs. A pair of dark brown eyes Astan watched the man in front of him, until a heavy voice sounded.

“Iya, Sir.” Quickly, Astan answered. Be ready to answer all interview questions until ten minutes have passed. Instant exited with a feeling of relief, walked towards the chair and took the black-colored duffel bag, away from the company.

“Later you can wait for a call from us. If you are accepted to work here,” said the man. While in the room, Astan can guess the answer that will be thrown by the man.

After leaving the building, Astan is sitting at a bus stop and does not know where to go. Astan just sat staring at the concrete floor and occasionally tapped his feet, until someone called his name. Astan stopped knocking on the concrete floor, looked up and found a man standing right in front of him. A man with an oblong face, tan-skinned, thick, but thin lips, and dark brown eyes.

“Iya, who is it?” Astan answered with a face full of question marks.

“You don't remember me. I'm your friend, Endra Julistian. We're one class while at ATS (Academy Level One).” Endra answered quickly and sat down directly to Astan's left trying to find the memories of the past.

“Ah, I remember. Why are you here?” Astan spoke with joy and a face full of question marks.

“I work near here. How about you?” answer Endra and ask Astan again.

“I have a job interview today and it looks like I won't be accepted.” Astan answered him in a soft voice and lowered his head again.

“Already, what if we find a place to eat?” hail Endra with a big smile on his face.

When the awaited vehicle had arrived, they entered the blue-colored bus. The bus was not very crowded, but all the benches were filled. They sit with each other. A few minutes later the bus stopped at the next stop. Some of the passengers got off, as did the two of them. Walk away from the stop, until they are in front of a cafe that has all-flower decorations. The two went in and picked a table near the glass. A moment after sitting down, a female servant approached. Carrying a menu book along with a pair of stationery, the waiter began writing on the small note quickly. When the servant finished, he left the table.
