"It still hasn't changed what I call it. You want to call me by any name. If it's true I'm a bastard, I've accepted it." Kendra smiled faintly.
20 Years of the title has been carried and pinned by the family Papa and Mama Harvey. Starting from his mother who is referred to as a selfless woman, the wrestler of the husband of people to inappropriate dirty names he has often heard. Continuing after he was born the title moved to him, but unlike his mother was strong when he was despised, this time everyone who insulted him Mama who was always ready to stand up to defend him.
The name was commonly heard and became an everyday food. His father, although economically responsible, was still unable to defend Mama and himself.
"I'm just reminding you who you are."
"Thank you, Brother. I always remember who I am." Kendra did not want to extend her empty debate with Harvey, she waved her hand and immediately walked with wide strides.
"Don't call me your brother, damn it!"
There was still a gurgle of Harvey's scream in his ear. Kendra just smiled. If it wasn't for his father's request to go to college in the same place as Harvey, he wouldn't have stepped on the same place as the man.
Kendra was sitting on the back corner. Following well or not every course, is not important to him. However, his grades have always competed thinly with Harvey in the same majors.
There had not been an hour of parting with Maura, he had already missed the ketus girl terribly. It felt like he had just been reborn after bearing the status of Maura's lover.
'Hi, Honey. The class has started yet?'
Although he knew it was unlikely that his message would be answered by Maura, he sent several messages and pictures to tease the girl.
As soon as the course ended and the lecturer came out of the room, Kendra shot into the Maura faculty building.
"Hi." Kendra leaned against the pillar in a style that she found most attractive.
"Why are you here?" Welcomed the look of a jutek face and a tinge of ketus does not dampen his smile.
"Fetch you."
"Ngapain, my house is near walking." Maura pointed to the top of her towering apartment building.
"I know, walking is both more romantic." Without a doubt Kendra clasped Maura's hand.
"Ken! Lepasin ah, shame." Some of his friends tease some who cynically assume he too quickly switched to another heart.
"No, you're my boyfriend. Want to choose to be held or embraced?"
"Let's go hunting!" Maura pulls Kendra's hand away from her friends.
"I don't deserve to be your girlfriend?" Suddenly Harvey's words flashed in his memory.
"Think of it yourself." Maura melengos. Wanting to escape, but his hand was held captive by Kendra in a grasp.
"I'm sorry, but I'm really happy to be your girlfriend."
Maura stopped her steps. Throughout the lecture, he weighed and had taken the best decision according to him. He stopped his steps and turned to face Kendra.
"Ken, it seems like I can't pretend like this. After I thought about it, I was too mean to you. I shouldn't have taken you as an escape. I don't think being able to deal with Harvey needs to sacrifice you. I'm sorry, Ken. Just forget what we talked about this afternoon." Slowly he let go of Kendra's hand which tightly grasped her hand.
"I don't want to. Let you make me run away, I'm sincere. You're evil and I'm fine, I'm used to it. That's even what I like about you. I don't feel sacrificed either." Kendra held Maura's hand that wanted to escape her grasp.
"I exist, I like you. If there is no taste, then taste. Simple." Kendra smiled as if it was so easy for her. Maura's grunts were completely ignored.
"Don't joke, Ken, I'm serious!" Maura flicked her hand stopping Kendra's footsteps.
"I'm not kidding either, Maura. I'm serious about this relationship. If you don't like me, it's okay. I just want you to give me one chance. As you told Harvey earlier, when he comes back to you and your feelings for him are still the same .. I'll let you go." Kendra looked at Maura. A look he never gave to anyone.
Maura fell silent. He did not expect Kendra who is always nosy and joking when talking to him, could be serious like this.
"In front of your apartment there are delicious dumpling noodles, yuk." Kendra smiled again and pulled Maura's hand.
The girl was hypnotized, going to follow where Kendra was taking her. Kendra treated her like a princess just like Harvey treated her.
"Two meatball dumpling noodles equal iced orange, Jang!" kendra exclaimed, "Have you eaten here?" ask her to Maura who is still tightly locked her lips. The girl shook her head.
"Hmm, you don't usually eat at the stall. Once eaten here, definitely back."
Next they both fell silent awkwardly glancing at each other, not knowing what to talk about.
"Well, it's finally coming." Kendra rubbed her palms as soon as the seller put two bowls in front of them.
Kendra watched Maura who looked at the disgusted chicken claw inside her bowl.
"Ga likes? Yeah, let me eat it. It's tasty, nutritious and lots of collagen. Good for you, can make ageless and less wrinkled." Kendra mumbled the chicken claw with pleasure not caring about Maura who looked at her amusedly.
"You mean I'm a lot of wrinkles?"
"I didn't say that."
"Your support is clear, chicken claws are good for me to be gnarled."
"Everybody must be old and wrinkled. Am I wrong?"
"By the way you always piss off!" Maura took off her spoon and fork to clink.
This is one of the differences between Harvey and Kendra. If Harvey always keeps Maura feeling happy and flattered, Kendra says what it is and tends to provoke Maura's anger.
"Sorry, sorry. I'm sorry. Eat it again, yes" said Kendra. The man took Maura's spoon and fork and put it back in the girl's hand.
Maura's attention was shifted to the scenery across the stall where they ate. Harvey's car just entered their apartment.
Harvey turns around the car and opens the door for his fiancee. Harvey and the woman got out of the car. The man who had been her lover, looked excited and happy at her fiance's side. Like a different person to the man who wanted to keep him this morning.
Kendra followed Maura's line of sight. The girl's eyes began to look glassy. He moved his chair right in front of Maura, so that it covered the painful scenery across the street.
"Look at me." Kendra wiped away a single point of tears dripping down Maura's cheek.
