Maura's laughter faded away changing in panic. His finger accidentally opened an incoming message from Harvey and indirectly, the man knew that he was still awake. The sound of knocking on the door and the phone rang simultaneously calling him.
"Maura, please open the door. I know you haven't slept. Give me a chance to talk, honey." Maura covered her ears with a pillow. He tried to ignore his heart's desire to open the door.
"Maura, please promise me a moment" cried Harvey from behind the door.
He couldn't stand it anymore, a message from Kendra he ignored and went out of the room and opened the door for Harvey.
"What's wrong?" Maura peeked out from the door slit.
"I want to talk."
"Talk it up." Maura held back the door that Harvey was about to push through.
"I can't go inside?"
"It's late, Harvey I don't want to cause slander." Maura's eyes watched around her apartment restlessly.
"It's okay, honey I'm just for a second." Harvey tried to push Maura's door. He tried gently so that his lover would not be afraid.
Maura was a gentle girl, if she had previously treated her lover like a jar that was easily cracked, but it was really difficult for now. Getting used to hanging out with the bad Reva and preferring to be treated harshly in bed, makes her look the same at every woman.
"No, Harvey. What do you want to talk about again? Aren't we done I said?"
"I just want to hug you, I miss."
"Wouldn't. You've hurt me, Harvey. You spit on me, you deny me in front of your friends. Sick, Harvey, that's enough for me." Maura cried between the slits of the door that only showed her face.
Harvey fell to his knees on the doorstep, "I'm sorry, honey. I'm sorry, that's all I had to do to make Reva believe we had no relationship. If I hadn't been so hard, you'd have suffered more."
"We have a deal. Let us walk each one first, you finish your business with that woman."
"I can't, honey. I'm tired of following all his requests. I need you, let me in for a second, I miss you altogether." Harvey wailed. He did not even bother to shed his tears.
As Maura began to melt and was about to open the door of her room, her handphone rang displaying Kendra's name there. Even though he was just ringing the phone, he seemed to listen to Kendra asking him to keep the door closed.
"Not now, Harvey. Let's just keep it this way." Maura's outstretched hand wiped Harvey's fake tears.
"Who called you these nights?"
Maura was silent. He felt like he was having an affair.
"That guy?" Harvey stood up, unable to linger sad theatrical again.
"Go home, Harvey."
"Darling, may I ask you not to get too close to him? I'm going to change the time I've been ignoring with you. I promise."
Harvey rubbed Maura's lips with his thumb. He wanted to feel the softness of Maura's lips again, but once remembering that they had also been tasted by his half-brother, his finger involuntarily hurt Maura.
"It hurts, Harvey."
"Sorry, Honey. I miss it too much." Harvey's voice softened, "You have morning class?" Maura nodded faintly, "We're leaving together huh."
"Your engagement?"
"Don't worry, I've arranged it. We're back together?" Harvey smiled pleading. Her smile grew even more resounding as her request was answered with a nod of her head, "See you tomorrow morning, i love you, babe."
"Love you to" said Maura blushed.
Harvey smiled with satisfaction, at least he managed to convince both women at once today.
In the room, Maura sleeps on her back remembering and sorting out her love journey between Harvey and himself all along. There is a sense of happiness when the man says the word obligatory when they end the meeting or conversation. It was like finding her boyfriend back.
'Have you slept? How are you still online?'
'So already, waking up because you called' Maura added an angry image to her message.
'Sorry, Honey. Sleep again yes.'
Kendra's affectionate call awakens her if there is another man's heart that she has given her hope. On the other hand, he also opened his heart again to Harvey.
'Oww, Maura! Why are you being such a jerk?!'
He looked and did not reply to messages from Kendra. His heart still expects Harvey, but honestly he still needs Kendra to support him when Harvey occasionally returns to hurt him.
In the morning, Harvey kept his word. The young man was ready in front of his room with his charming smile.
"Are you ready, my future wife?" he said as soon as Maura opened the door. The innocent virgin flower blushed in shame. Harvey's evil treatment of her, as if it had worn off with just a greeting and a sweet smile.
Harvey took Maura by the hand and continued walking past his parked car.
"Tumben wants to walk, usually near to a car," said Maura.
"Let's stay longer with you. If it's like this, it's romantic."
Maura fell silent, Harvey's remark reminded her of Kendra who had said the same thing.
"Maura, promise me not to get too close to Kendra."
"Why? He's good."
Harvey scoffed cynically, "You haven't known him too closely."
"You're close to him? It seems you two rarely chat."
"Not close, but I know how he and his family are. I'm talking like this because I love you."
Almost nearing the campus gate, Maura's footsteps slowed down. Kendra sat on the bike, looking at him with a sad look. Harvey, who felt Maura was trying to unravel his hand, moved around the girl's waist.
With a feeling of unworthiness, Kendra turned the wheel of her motorbike and entered the campus gate. His eyes are still stealing glances through the rearview mirror of his motorcycle. The girl who last night was still joking with him and crying from heartbreak, was already in the arms of the man who hurt him.
"Harvey, let go of your hand."
"Why, honey aren't we used to like this. Are you afraid of him?" Harvey's chin pointed at Kendra who was parking her bike.
"Not scared, I'm just keeping his feelings."
"Are you the same as him?"
"Don't I tell you? While we walk each other, you're with that woman, me and her."
Harvey grinned, "You want to use him? Smart of you too."
"Bu-not that I mean."
"I get. It's okay I understand, that's how I agree. At least if I can't accompany you anywhere, you can ask him to drive you. Just on one condition, don't let him touch you a single hair. I'm a jealous man, honey."
Maura fell silent to Harvey's words. His forehead is deep. Why does he feel like a jerk woman who uses a man just for her own pleasure.
He felt this wasn't right. So wrong!
