Ms. Melda and Tantri enter the mansion belonging to Miko's parents. In his heart Tantri was amazed to see the appearance of the big house from the outside to the inside of his house.
"Bk, tsk. This is not the house of his name, but the palace." Inner Tantri as she swept her gaze looked around the room he passed. I don't know where Ms. Melda will take her. He just tailed behind the middle-aged woman while continuing to pull her suitcase.
"Pa! Papa has gone home" said Ms Melda to a middle-aged man sitting on a single sofa in a room that looks like a family room.
"Yes, Ma. Where's my mom from? Who's the girl behind Mama?" asked the middle-aged man while putting down a map he was reading earlier.
"Oh, this is Tantri, Pa. Hendra's sister-in-law. Papa still remembers Hendra, right? Schoolmate and college friend Miko who used to play here with Kevin,"
"Tantri, meet this Om Afdal, Miko's father." explained Ms. Melda back to speak to Tantri.
"Good night, Om!" greet Tantri while smiling and nodding politely towards Mr. Afdal. The middle-aged man replied to her with a friendly smile accompanied by a slight nod.
"Yes, remember. But how does the story go, Mama can go home with her sister-in-law Si Hendra?" asked Afdal confused and curious.
"Look Pa," Ms. Melda then told her husband everything. Mr. Afdal just shook his head with a sigh and opened his glasses to hear the behavior of his youngest son.
"Well, Pa. I brought Tantri up first. I want to show you the room she'll be staying in as long as she stays here." explains Ms. Melda. Mr. Afdal responded with a nod.
"Excuse me, Om."
"Please." replied Mr. Afdal and then refocused on his work. Tantri followed behind the hostess walking towards the stairs. Her suitcase was carried by a housekeeper upstairs.
After reaching the top floor, Ms. Melda then walked towards the light brown door while still being followed by Tantri.
"This is your room. This room has been empty for a long time. It used to be a room, Miko but no one has occupied it for a long time because the ones with rooms still seem reluctant to return to this house. So, Auntie thinks there's no harm in having you occupy it while you're here. Auntie thought Miko wouldn't mind if you occupied her room because it looks like you two are so close." explains Ms. Melda. Hearing this makes Tantri so curious why Miko does not want to return to her parents' house. Have they ever had a problem? Ask Tantri in your heart. But the girl did not dare to ask this to pry the family problems of the owner of the house. Because it was so disrespectful, he thought.
"Thank you, Auntie."
"Good, Aunt. I understand."
"And remember, don't be late!" firmly Ms. Melda.
"Okay, Auntie." replied Tantri with a nod.
After Ms. Melda left, Tantri went into the room and pulled her suitcase. Tantri sat on the edge of the bed while still thinking about what Ms. Melda said earlier. Somehow he was so curious why Miko left the house and refused to return. What's the matter exactly? ask Tantri in her mind.
"Geez, I forgot that I had to go downstairs before 7 p.m. Oh yeah, what time is it?" tantri said as she glanced at the clock that was coiled around her wrist.
"God! 10 Minutes left. I must hurry to clean up. Where's the bathroom, Dad?" tantri said in a moment of panic.
****************
Tantri was back in the room. He felt very sleepy even though the clock was still pointing at 8 pm. Perhaps this was the effect of the long journey he went through today. He and his family began the journey from his home to the airport in the city of ABC when the clock was still showing at 02:00 in the morning.
"How does it feel, Kak Miko yah who goes back and forth from here to Village T every week? It must be very tiring" muttered Tantri.
"Why am I thinking, Miko, anyway? Mending me to sleep now instead of thinking about less important things."
"Hoaaaam, so sleepy."
Tantri then pulled the blanket and laid her exhausted body on Miko's soft mattress after she read the do'a before going to bed.
Brrr. Why is the temperature in this room so cold? Where else is the remote ac?"
Tantri shivered in the cold. Because lazy to wake up looking for a small rectangular object, he then chose to fall asleep while covering his entire body with a blanket.
