Syifa was lying on the bed but her net was staring blankly at the ceiling of the room. Her tears were dry from crying too much. Crying over her and crying over Fatimah's grandmother.
Since this afternoon there has been no news from her mother about the state of the grandmother. Almost every Antika approached him he would ask, "How is my grandmother, Tik?"
Antika himself is confused, because he also has not received any news from his mother Syifa. Syifa also did not want to tell him about what happened to him. When she came Syifa was still crying in the bathroom while her mother had gone to the hospital to take Fatimah's grandmother. So that he did not know what was going on in this house to cause Fatimah's grandmother to have a heart attack.
However, what puzzled him was why Syifa looked so different than usual. Syifa did not even want to eat not combing her hair properly, sometimes gripping her clothes while shedding tears and Syifa kept silent. Even when performing prayer, her tears unfailingly flowed from the corner of her eyes.
"Fa, here I make instant noodles. Let's eat first, Fa!" bucuhan Antika's.
Syifa remained silent and only shook her helpless little face.
"Fa, grandma must be fine. Let's eat something for two mouthfuls first, Fa. If you don't want these two bowls I'll spend it alone!" threatening Antika joking.
But Syifa did not budge. He was the first time he saw Syifa look so bad like this. It seemed like something had happened to him, but Antika did not know what it was.
Antika ate his food lazily. He also became unfeeling. Though it is his favorite food that he never refused, although it is not good if consumed too often.
Drrrttt drrrtt
Suddenly his phone rang a sign there was an incoming call from Syifa's mother. Antika immediately went away and then just picked it up.
"Hello, Assalamu'alaikum, Auntie!" answer Antika.
"Wa'alaikumussalam, Antarctica. How is syifa?" ask Rossa.
"Syifa from earlier did not want to eat Auntie, even she continued to cry. He just stayed in bed and daydreamed. What exactly happened to him, Auntie?"
"Right now I can't explain it, Antika. Aunt please take care of Syifa okay? I'll be home soon" said Rosa.
"Yes Aunt, what about Fatimah's grandmother, Aunt? since then Syifa continues to ask the condition of Fatimah's grandmother."
"Hiks .. hiks ....!" Rosa did not answer immediately, but there was a sobbing sound across. "Ummi is gone, Tik ..," said Rosa Lirih.
"Innalilahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un!" antika then immediately covered his mouth so as not to be heard to Syifa's room.
"Please don't tell Syifa this first, Tik. Aunty doesn't want Syifa to get worse when she hears that her grandmother is gone!"
"Good, Aunt. I won't tell Syifa about it!" antika said obediently.
"Auntie closes first, Tik. I have to take care of the administration for Ummi's return! Assalamu'alaikum" Rosa said.
" Good, Aunt. Wa'alaikumussalam."
Antika is confused as to what to do. Given Syifa's current circumstances added when he found out his grandmother was gone.
Tok to tok.
"Assalamu'alaikum!"
There was a sound of someone knocking on the door, Antika immediately headed forward to open the door.
"Goddessalam, Fisa!" Antika is surprised to see the arrival of Nafisa. However, he was very happy for Nafisa to come.
"You've been here since? where's Syifa?" ask Nafisa.
"Yes, I've been here since late afternoon. Who will look after your Umm if you stay here?" ask Antika.
"Sstttt! Yeah, don't tell Syifa just yet. Syifa is in a state that is not okay!" antika said in half a whisper.
"What's going on? Where is Syifa?" ask Nafisa with a witty look.
"I don't know, but something happened before I came and caused Fatimah's grandmother to have a heart attack. Syifa was in her room. Just try to see him!" pinta Antika's.
"Well, let's go there!"
The two of them then headed to Syifa's room.
"Assalamu'alaikum, Syifa!" said Nafisa while pushing the door of Syifa's room that has been opened a little.
Syifa just glanced slightly towards the door then looked back towards the ceiling of her room again.
"Please let him eat first!" whispered Antika in the ear of Nafisa.
Nafisa nodded slowly. Then he went into Syifa's room to persuade Syifa to eat.
"Syifa, you're not happy I came. I'm on holiday from the cottage.
Syifa still hasn't budged.
"How's my grandmother doing, Sa!" syifa said later.
Nafisa was flabbergasted at Syifa's question. He doesn't know what to say. It was as if Syifa had a bad feeling about her grandmother.
"grandmother ...." Nafisa who is not good at lying was not able to lie to Syifa, he finally chose not to continue his words.
"Why don't you people want to say anything about my grandmother's true condition! tell me what happened to my grandmother, Sa, Tik! say it!" syifa exclaimed with a rising voice expressing her sadness.
Nafisa immediately grabbed Syifa into her arms. Their cries broke, as did Antika who witnessed it in the doorway of Syifa's room.
It makes Syifa sure that the state of her grandmother is not good.
"Grandma, don't leave Syifa, Grandma! Grandma ...!"
Syifa was crying again. His chest felt increasingly claustrophobic can no longer accommodate the endless sadness coming to him. Syifa fell unconscious in Nafisa's arms.
Not long after some of the neighbors arrived. Abi Imron, who also escorted Fatimah's grandmother, informed the local village device to prepare the funeral of Fatimah's grandmother to be held that night. Some neighbors were seen tidying up the house and also to prepare for Fatimah's grandmother's funeral.
The sound of hearse sirens makes the atmosphere of haru more visible. Fatimah's grandmother's body was immediately laid down in a prepared place. Syifa who was awake immediately hugged the body of her grandmother who had been stiffened. Sobs began to fill Syifa's house.
Syifa felt very lost the figure of Fatimah's grandmother who had been considered like her own grandmother. Moreover, Fatimah's grandmother died because she was very worried about her condition.
The mourners who came to see it also felt the sadness felt by Syifa, including Nafisa and Antika.
"Syifa, you must be sincere so that grandma returns quietly. Now let grandma bathe first, yeah baby!" persuade Rosa gently while patting her daughter's shoulder gently.
Although he was not able to hold back the tears but he had to be strong to strengthen Syifa which is certainly very bad with a series of events today.
Fatimah's grandmother's body was immediately bathed and pardoned. Soon the mourners began to arrive. The takziah event was held in view of the time that had begun to dissolve. Fatimah's grandmother was buried at a public cemetery not far from where she lived.
