Syifa waited anxiously in the hospital corridor with a middle-aged woman holding her child. While inside the ER room, a man was lying in one of the hospital's bracages with wounds on several parts of his body.
Before long Edward emerged from the end of the corridor in a hurry. Seeing that Syifa felt relieved because finally her papa came too.
"Sir ...!" as Edward approached her.
"Syifa, you're okay, right?" edward asked with a hunting breath.
"Syifa's fine, Pa!"
"This ... Why with your palm?" edward asked when he saw a slight scuff on Syifa's palm.
"Just a little scuff, Pa. Already treated. But the one inside seems like a serious injury and must be operated on immediately, Pa," Syifa said with grief.
"His family hasn't arrived yet?" ask Edward to make sure.
"Syifa doesn't know either, Pa. No one has come looking for him since. Syifa also has not spoken to him because he is still in action by the doctor" Syifa said.
Edward breathed slowly. A little relieved because at least his daughter is fine.
"How did it happen?" ask Edward.
Flashback On ...
A toddler who was less than three years old walked quickly from the sidewalk to the side of the road. I don't know where her parents are, Syifa didn't see it.
Syifa who was waiting for the bus at the stop accidentally saw her. Syifa immediately stood up and ran towards the toddler. For he saw no adults there who seemed to help him.
As vigorously as he ran fiercely as he watched the toddler slowly walk towards the middle of the road when he saw an object falling in the middle of a small, sparkling round-shaped road.
"Dek, beware! comehere!" shia shouted as she continued running.
Hearing the cry from Syifa, the toddler turned his head, but instead of returning he half ran towards the middle of the road regardless of the screams from Syifa.
When it almost arrived, with all his strength Syifa tried to reach the toddler. However, he staggered forward until his knees and palms fell on the asphalt. Syifa reached out her hand and immediately grabbed the toddler's arm and pulled him into her arms.
Brakkk's.
Just at that time a motorcyclist fell into the road until he hit the road barrier.
Luckily the vehicle behind him immediately braked and stopped before hitting the biker. Syifa suspected the biker had fallen because he wanted to avoid a toddler who was now in Syifa's deck.
"Innalillahi wa inna illaihi rojiun!" pekik Syifa was surprised.
Some people were running towards the biker. They immediately helped him and took him to the side of the road. The man was seen whimpering in pain and holding the arm of his injured right hand. Fresh blood was seen soaking up the part of the shirt he was wearing.
"Darling! Thank goodness you're okay, son?" exclaimed a woman with sobs on her cheeks, taking over the toddler from Syifa and bringing him into her arms.
Syifa could not say anything to see it. He was obviously quite shocked by what happened just a moment ago.
"Thank you, Ma'am, for helping my son!" the mother said with guilt clearly drawn on her face.
Syifa felt a bit of pain in her knees and palms, possibly wound. But Syifa couldn't possibly check it out right now in such a public place. He only saw a wistful look at the biker that must have been much worse.
"You, where have you been? look at it as a result of your negligence, the man became his victim!" knock someone who witnessed it.
"Sorry, I didn't realize if my son was going too far from my side!" said the mother with sobs on her face. People started to keep sneering at him.
Found that if the motorcyclist was injured, residents took him to a nearby hospital. Syifa took part to accompany the mother to the hospital to be responsible.
"Sir, I can't afford to pay his hospital fees. I am a widow raising my three children alone. My house is far away in the countryside, Ma'am. I came to the city intending to find my relatives' house, but have moved somewhere," said the mother memelas.
Syifa could not bear to hear the mother's confession. "Mother calm down first huh, I'll try to find some help!" Syifa.
"Thank you, Ma'am!" said the mother with her eyes still glazed. His son was asleep in his car.
Off Flashback.
"Yes, let Papa take care of it. You told me to go home. Two of her children were waiting for her at home, right? give him this money!" edward orders him to hand over two pieces of money from his wallet.
"Thank you, Pa!" Syifa received the money and immediately went to the mother to deliver a message from her father.
While Edward tried to find out from a nurse about the condition of the biker. Apparently the young man was an orphan. The only family he had was his uncle, but he was abroad. Edward finally took care of his administration because he had to be operated on the part of his upper arm that suffered a fracture.
Syifa and Edward waited at the hospital for the night. Rosa was there to find out what happened.
"Sister, you better go home. Let me and Syifa wait for him!" rosa said.
"No, you and Syifa go home. Let me keep watch!" kekeuh Edward's.
"Well, after the operation, we will go home" Rosa said.
"Oh yes, Brother. You offered me a job yesterday, didn't you? if you don't mind please find a job for Rosita's sister. I don't want him running a save loan business to the villages anymore. I think the job was not good for him" said Rosa.
"Well, I'll consider that."
At nine o'clock the operation was over. The young man was placed in an outpatient room after undergoing his fracture surgery. Syifa and her mother went inside to see her condition before returning home.
Syifa approached to confirm his condition. The young man seemed still unconscious due to the influence of his drugs. Syifa's forehead instantly shriveled as she looked closely at the young man's face.
Who is he? why I feel so foreign. I think I've met him! shifa in the heart. However, he still could not remember it.
After that, Syifa and her mother said goodbye to go home by taxi.
In between waiting for it, Edward took the time to inform Mia, so that his wife was not worried.
Edward felt very guilty for his wife and children. However, the current condition is not possible also to explain everything to Mia on the phone.
