Kenan still held Hanin's hand and was not released, although he was actually surprised by the words of the middle-aged woman who wore the white jacket. Kenan keeps on smiling. However, that smile was slightly thinning.
Hanin glanced again at the husband whose eyes remained focused on the monitor screen and listened to every word the doctor said.
“This hand yes, Doc?” kenan asked, pointing at the monitor screen that printed a sketch of the baby's organs in Hanin's stomach. “Dan, this leg?”
The doctor nodded too. “True Sir.” He smiled at Kenan's enthusiasm as a father-to-be.
However, Hanin still saw a slight gap of disappointment on that face, even though Kenan tried not to display it at all.
“Honey, our baby is healthy,” said Kenan, turning to Hanin with a smile.
Hanin pulled the corner of her lips. “Alhamdulillah.”
He did not know if Kenan was really happy or just showing happiness in front of him. I don't know, but Hanin is certainly very happy to hear that the child he is carrying is in good health.
After almost an hour in the room, Kenan and Hanin finally say goodbye to the doctor.
“Thank you, Doc. Sorry if I asked a lot,” said Kenan as he reached out his hand to shake.
The doctor welcomed Kenan's hand. “It's okay, Sir. Instead I am happy, if the father asks a lot of his child's condition like this. That means the father is not only a role in the manufacturing process.”
Kenan laughed, accompanied by the laughter of Hanin and the sisters who also interrupted laughing.
"Doctors can do it," said the nurse who accompanied the doctor to tidy up the tools used by Hanin earlier.
The doctor laughed, then alternately extended his hand to Hanin. “Health tag yes, Mom. Take care of the nutritional intake of food and most importantly, do not stress! Okay.”
Kenan immediately turned to look at Hanin and looked at him. “You stressed?”
The doctor looked at Hanin. They were in a standing position and were about to leave.
Hanin shook his head in doubt. “No.”
The doctor noticed the uneasiness in Hanin's countenance.
“Yes, I just remind you,” said the doctor again. “On the care of his wife yes, sir. Usually pregnant women are sensitive.”
Kenan looked at Hanin's face again.
Kenan. “Good, Doc. Again, thank you.”
Then they passed from the presence of the doctor. Kenan grabbed Hanin's waist to first walk in front of him. When will come out. Kenan held the door closed automatically, so that Hanin could come out first freely. These little concerns, which Hanin liked from Kenan.
Kenan still clasped Hanin's hand, as they walked in tandem. He did not protest as Hanin walked slowly. In fact, he walked slowly and adjusted his wife, although in fact Kenan most do not like to walk slowly.
“We go to the pharmaceutical section first, to take your medicine.”
Hanin nodded. “Iya.”
Kenan also took the wife to the pharmacy room while still holding her hand. Hanin stared at the hand. He was relieved to see Kenan's usual expression, although the doctor stated that the sex of the baby in his stomach was not as he wanted.
Then, Hanin glanced towards Kenan from the side. Kenan did not return his gaze. Whereas, usually when walking hand in hand like this, Kenan will feel if Hanin is looking at him and Kenan will immediately return the gaze with a big smile. But at this moment, Kenan's face looked flat with a straight forward gaze.
Disappointed? Ja. Kenan was disappointed when the doctor stated that the gender of the baby his wife was carrying was female. He really wanted his first child to be a boy. Not because he did not want to have a daughter, he also wanted to have a daughter, but for the second child, while the first he wanted a boy like her, he said, which he will educate as the successor to the Aditama family because Kenan has prepared many things for it.
Kenan is a perfectionist man. In life, he always has a plan and a target. He always makes short-term and long-term plans, so it seems stiff. The stiffness of Kenan's figure like this is what ultimately does not have many friends. Only Vicky understood him. He did everything according to the plan he had planned. However, the only thing he did without a plan was to marry Hanin.
And fortunately, God always gave Kenan his life plan, so he always felt he got what he wanted. He forgets that there is the hand of the creator who determines his destiny and now Kenan has put his destiny first.
He swallowed the disappointment and tried to accept the fact that not always what he wanted will always be obtained. He did not want to make Hanin sad or stressed, as the doctor said earlier. He loves Hanin very much and will still love Hanin as well as the child in the stomach of the wife, because the child is the blood of his flesh. He was just disappointed because it did not match what he had planned before.
“Honey, sit down first. I'll take your medicine there.” Kenan told Hanin to sit in a waiting chair not far from where he was taking the medicine.
Hanin smiled and nodded.
Soon after, Kenan returned to Kenan with a bag of medicine in his right hand.
“Come, Darling.we're done.” Kenan put up his arm, so that Hanin could stand up with his cocoon arm as a buffer of his body standing up from that chair.
Hanin smiled back.
“After this, where are we going?’ hanin asked as they walked together to leave this hospital building.
“Ke boutique.”
Originally Kenan had already told his wife for the agenda today. They have also promised to try the uniform dress they will wear for Kayla akikah event which will be held the day after tomorrow, at the designer subscription Rasti. Rasti, Kiara, Gunawan, and Kayla have already tried on the dress and only Kenan and his wife have not tried it, given Kenan's busy schedule before.
“Later tonight, we'll be home to Mami?” ask Hanin.
Arriving at the VIP parking lot, Kenan opened the door for his wife and led her to sit down. Kenan ran around the car and sat in the steering wheel.
“You don't want dinner at Mami's house?’ Kenan asked back.
“I want.” Hanin answered immediately.
“Then, after from the boutique, we go to Mami's house. But first, we stopped by the restaurant for lunch. Poor him haven't had lunch.”
Kenan stroked Hanin's distended stomach and Hanin immediately smiled.
****
“Finally, you came,” said Rasti, as Kenan and Hanin arrived at her residence.
“Mami.” Kenan immediately approached his mother and kissed her cheek.
Rasti also returned the embrace of the son. Then, take turns with Hanin.
“Sound mom?” hanin asked after hugging her mother-in-law.
“Health. You yourself how?”
Hanin nodded. “Health, Mam. Thank God.”
There is Gunawan who is sitting with Kayla with Kiara beside him who is enjoying various fried foods made by the Aunt.
“Then mulu.” Kenan teased his sister.
“Maclum, busui. So the laper keeps on.”
“Reason.” Kenan mocked his sister, so those who were there were also laughing.
Kenan pulled a chair for his wife. Hanin was sitting there.
“Thank you.”
Kenan smiled, then sat down beside Hanin.
“How is Mami's grandson? Healthy right?’ asked Rasti who was also sitting on the dining table chair.
“Alhamdulillah be healthy, Mam,” replied Hanin smiling towards Rasti.
Gunawan sat opposite Kenan, as well as Kiara who sat opposite Hanin. then, the Aunt came and took Kayla from Gunawan's lap.
Rasti sat in the middle of both the daughter's son and her partner.
“You've been to the boutique?” rasti asked a stale base with his eyes fixed on Kenan.
“Already.”
“Gaunnya nice ga, Han?” kiara asked with her eyes fixed on Hanin.
“Good, very good. Who chooses?”
“I dong,” Reply Kiara smiled.
They talk while enjoying dinner.
“Oh yes, how was the USG result? What is the sex of your baby?” rasti asked, making Kenan and Hanin stop feeding food into their mouths.
Hanin remained silent. He did not make a sound, because this is a portion of Kenan to answer.
“Female, Mam,” replied Kenan casually.
“Yah. Mommy thinks male. You do not follow Mami's advice to eat foods that contain potassium huh Han?”
Rasti's eyes headed towards Hanin. Hanin turned his head, but he was confused to answer.
“Mami, stop. Want a boy or girl no problem, the important thing is that the baby is healthy and the mother is healthy,” said Kiara who was a little upset with the mother.
Because Kiara was once in the position of Hanin who was depressed when pregnant. It feels right, pregnant women are very sensitive.
Kenan was silent. He continued to feed the food into his mouth slowly. In fact, Hanin hopes the words that Kiara spewed out of her husband's mouth as a form of defense Kenan to him in front of Rasti.
“Can't be so Kiara. Kenan's first son must be a boy, because later he will be the one who will carry on all the assets of the Aditama family, like Kenan now,” replied Rasti.
“But it can be a second child or a third child an older brother, Mam. Who knows the second child or the third son of an older brother. The important men right?’ Kiara still continues to defend Hanin.
The mother and daughter continued to argue. The person being debated is silent, but they are there.
Gunawan, who felt like someone else, could not say anything or defend Hanin. He can only be silent. He glanced at Hanin to see the state of the woman while still feeding the food into his mouth. Every now and then, Hanin returned Gunawan's gaze. Gunawan just smiled at Hanin to encourage and not be sad.
Meanwhile, Kenan was still silent and focused only on his food. He did not even glance at Hanin to give his spirit, like Gun. Suddenly, it made Hanin's heart sad.
