Ch 16 - In The Past

Ch 16 - In The Past

In a village on the border of the city located under a hill called Mount Tugel.

Mount Tugel is said to have been a complete mountain. In fact, the mountain is not as large as the mountain in general.

Judging from its size, the place was just a small hill with a flat surface. But the surrounding villages are called that.

Under the hill was a river that surrounded half the hill. Village children often tell that the river was inhabited by grandparents in the form of a giant snake named Mbah Njabung who is a member of the legendary Nyi Roro Kidul from the South Sea of Java when the village was it is located in the northern part of Java island.

It is said that a white shawl called Wiyonggo village often appears floating in the river to catch humans.

Across the hill stands a simple elementary school building without a fence.

Maybe the story was told so that no children would play in the river.

Because basically the river is very shallow with a lot of stones will be dangerous if suddenly there is a flood of shipments coming without rain.

For years, the story was told without anyone knowing the truth.

“Elsa! Let's jump!” Shouted a child from the deepest part of the river, because only in this place can they swim.

“Come jump!” The other yells helped to promote the little girl who still stood on the dam.

The little girl was not afraid, only a little doubt that her strict grandmother scolded her for coming home in wet clothes, even though it was her grandmother who ordered her to come play into the rice field.

All this time he managed to maintain a good attitude in front of his grandmother, never naughty or cause trouble.

As a descendant of the village, he grew up like a noble who never herded goats, played in the fields, or bathed in the river.

During this time he always spent his time reading books from the mobile library that came to his village once a week.

His weak body could not keep up with the agility of the other village children.

She was grateful for never fainting because she actually had to take medicine for her lungs every day. From childhood he suffered from wet lungs.

Some time ago, his grandmother began to get sick and began to teach him many things that he had never done, from cooking, washing, cleaning the house, and so on, he also ordered him to follow his friends and go to the fields.

Basically he was quite happy, having found some fun playing with his friends, hunting fruit, conch, grasshopper and fish.

Yes, his family does not have goats or rice fields.

Only a large garden shaped hills behind the house.

His family also has a well, bathroom and toilet so there is no need to bathe or wash in the joints or rivers like other families.

Even his grandfather would make it his own lime or a special small swimming pool next to the house every rainy season.

In the end he decided to jump into the river and swim like his friends by wearing only a t-shirt and shorts.

Even though he was already sixth grade Elementary, his body was still very small and undeveloped.

Not because of malnutrition, but because of his illness and indeed his age is two years younger than his classmates.

He entered elementary school at the age of five. So he is eleven years old now.

After playing. His grandmother scolded him.

“Grandmother is not angry, just giving advice. Tomorrow again if you play in the river, do not forget to bring a change of clothes. Now take a quick shower, change clothes! Don't forget it's wet in the wash all.” That's how it feels when your grandmother is angry.

After the magrib, as usual he attended studies at the house of Ustadz Sa'rozi.

Maybe because he was lazy to learn to teach.

Now he is often scolded for misreading ustadz. The speed of reading it is very slow when compared to his friends.

Her mother and her mother's family were experts in religion. But Elsa felt she did not fit in and felt inferior when compared to her cousins.

How not if they are all multitalented people, good at playing music, have a good voice, have a variety of cooking skills, sewing, organization, sports champions, geniuses at school and in pesantren.

Elsa is music blind, tone-blind, can't cook, never holds a needle, can't exercise, isn't very smart at school, and can't get paid.

Every time Elsa was invited by her mother to come home, she always hid in her room, she was too embarrassed to show up for not having any skills to be proud of.

Since childhood, his mother liked to read him fairy tales before going to bed, ranging from folklore, the story of the Apostles, to the story of one thousand and one nights so that after the two parents separated Elsa was very interested in books.

After her parents separated, Elsa chose to live in the village with her grandparents.

Before going to bed, Elsa will always ask her grandmother to tell her childhood story.

Her grandmother is not actually Elsa's real grandmother, her birth grandmother had died when her aunt was a child, then her grandfather remarried to Grandma Las.

Although Grandma Las has no children, she loves her stepchildren.

So that the stepchildren of the husband-husband in the past are still so considerate and consider her a mother to this day.

Grandma Las has several habits, including if there are guests, whoever the person is she will always spend the rest of the guests drinks.

That is said to be the reason that he is very clever even though he does not go to school because the drink absorbs the knowledge of the Guest.

For him the drink was his source of knowledge.

Everyone has a different science so it would be nice if he has a lot of knowledge.

Unknowingly, little Elsa was so interested in the teachings of the grandmother and always practiced it.

There is no disgust to drink the scars of others, which there is precisely pleasure to such an addiction.

He didn't even care if others saw him as disgusting.  Although he doesn't know the reason for this moment.

But in the future he will be very grateful because he has developed the habit before he knows the reason. Because it turns out that water can save the blessings of prayer and science.

Elsa has a secret.  Several memories appeared in his mind about the life of someone who reincarnated several times.

The memory was not very clear and would become clearer as he read the same story.

Because the reincarnation that he knew all along was only the belief of the Chinese and did not find this concept in the religion that he inherited from his parents, so he did not dare to express it to anyone.

In his memory, he was a nation of dragons born from the Mother of Light. Do not ask her who the Mother of Light is, for she herself does not know who it is.

He only knew that everything in this world was born of the Mother of Light.

So much of the time he lived was in the Light World and his every reincarnation was related to the task of the Light World.

Because of his knowledge of the Light World, he knew that every thing like trees, water, earth had a soul and could speak, only that they did not speak like humans but through minds and hearts.

In addition to being friends with humans, Elsa is also friends with nature.

By relying on his not-so-obvious memory as a swordsman, he practiced breathing, and some moves in the hills behind his house.

Although he is still relatively weak among his friends, but at least with some exercise he can still pursue their stamina with his body weak due to lung disease.

In the Light World, she had a partner who would always follow her in her every reincarnation.

Elsa only knew that the person was called Ling Zhan.

As for what it meant, who he really was or why that person was called so, he had no idea.

As time went on, under the strict training of Grandma Las, Elsa began to be able to be independent, cook and clean the house.

With breathing exercises, Elsa no longer has any problems with her lungs.

In the final year of elementary school, Grandma Las left him with a smile.

Elsa ushered the grandmother away with a deep smile and kiss on her cold cheek.

Because Elsa is convinced that her grandmother will still live in nature there and Elsa is also convinced that God will definitely give her a better substitute teacher than her grandmother.

Elsa spent her final year in elementary school taking care of her grandfather and relaxing a little.

He decided to follow his mother's advice, go to school and live in a pesantren.

Although the academic value is quite high in the village, but it is not enough in the city.

There are so many genius kids in town.

The school is where her mother teaches.

So even if she lives in a boarding school, she can meet her mother every day and get extra care from her mother.

Elsa is never short of food.

Every Sunday night in the pesantren held asma’ silat exercises, a series of breathing exercises with yoga movements followed by special readings created by Mbah Yai.

Every Sunday morning, after the dawn prayer, all students must run around the hill before doing silat exercises.

With these exercises, Elsa realized that her body was now getting healthier and stronger.

Realizing these benefits, Elsa became more active in training, in every opportunity she will keep her breath with the exercise asthma’.

In addition to following silat in the pesantren, Elsa also followed the silat exkul in her school.

Every night he even practiced swordplay in his dreams.

In the dream, he was practicing a match with a very strong man.

Elsa could not see his face, she did not even know his name because that person would run and disappear every time she asked him.

Elsa thinks she must become stronger to be able to face her enemies in the future.

From her past memories, Elsa realizes that she has a very powerful enemy.

Even though he was unsure of being able to finish off his enemy with his abilities, he could at least take care of himself.

Even though she trains hard every day, Elsa is still nothing compared to Guse, her son Mbah Yai who is also a silat coach.

Only by stopping a matchstick can Guse injure a person with a distance of ten meters.

Mbah Yai himself is said to have conquered the great swordsman with just one demonstration, standing on a bamboo stick with just one toe.

The swordsman imagined if the big toe hit his stomach, it could be ascertained his stomach would collapse.

It is in accordance with the philosophy that is always held Mbah Yai “Winning tanpo ngasorake.” which means that his victory is achieved not by beating or humiliating the opponent.

After that, the swordsman also recognized Mbah Yai as a teacher and devoted himself to helping teach silat in pesantren.

Of course, Elsa still did not forget to read many story books.

He spent his allowance to rent books at a book rental near the school.

Unfortunately, little progress has been made with his reading. Because the memory revolved around China, the wuxia novel was still not as famous as it is today.

But Elsa is grateful because a lot of reading can help her correlate the knowledge she gets with the multi-dimensional Mbah Yai salary.

Elsa still remembers, at that time Mbah Yai issued many theories that seemed impossible to achieve.

Among these theories says that

“This world has 18,000 dimensions”

“The wisdom of God given to His lovers is not inconceivable, it's just that our science has not been able to achieve it”

“The lovers of God if you want to talk, can directly face to face (like a hologram?). More sophisticated than HP (which was then the most advanced new 3G signal)”

“If man can break down atoms in his body then it is not impossible to walk through walls. Because basically everything consists of atoms.”

“If man can reduce his body mass, man can walk in the air.”

And there are many more theories that seem difficult to digest by Junior High students who had not studied atomic chemistry at that time.

Because Mbah Yai said that the world is made up of 18000 dimensions, Elsa has a passion for tracing her memories.

It is possible that the memory is related to another dimension.

Because indeed the memory tells the story of inter-dimensional.

The Mbah Yai, Elsa also knows that in Islam there are also sciences such as witchcraft and magic that to activate it in need of special practices or special readings that also come from the verses of the Qur'an.

But Mbah Yai forbade his students to study the science because it can hinder the entry of Haq or true science.

Science is stronger than any other science.

In Elsa's shadow, the science of haq was like magic without a spell. At that time, Elsa determined that was her goal. The most powerful science that can defeat all science and magic.

Unfortunately, this science cannot be learned. Science that has several conditions to be able to get it including “DO NOT NGANTUK!”

That was the most impossible condition for Elsa. After all, sleepiness was like nature's calling to him.

Especially when teaching is like a habit “move sleep” for Elsa. Whatever he did could not shake his drowsiness.

Not that Elsa lost concentration, but every time she concentrated and calmed down the feeling automatically made her body comfortable and unconscious.

He can sometimes still listen and understand what is being discussed in his dreams.

Sometimes Elsa felt herself recording all of that in her dreams, when she realized that her record was still empty.

A cold shower that is said to relieve drowsiness actually makes Elsa sleep better.

Coffee which generally can eliminate drowsiness and make people difficult to sleep actually makes Elsa more unconscious.

Wudhu that usually makes others feel fresh also has no effect on him.

Therefore the path that Elsa must take to eliminate sleepiness is very difficult and long.

Automatically the goal to be able to get Haq knowledge is also still very far away.
