Chapter 98 - What's Up?

CHAPTER 98

On the eighth day, Ayu waited for her husband who was still asleep befriending the rhythm of the monitor sound. Ethan's mother is going back to Birmingham because Ethan is sick, has a fever. Maybe miss the presence of Ayu.

Ayu pamit, speaking at length behind a barrier, offered a sky-high prayer. Hoping before she left for England, her husband immediately opened his eyes.

“Build Bobby. You want me to go back to England again? Today I came home, sorry if my presence could not help.” Ayu looked down in a doldrums.

Ayu is lucky at least she didn't come home alone, because Dariel was waiting for her in the hospital. The man will accompany Ayu to Birmingham. Coincidentally Dariel plans to stay long enough in the country of origin of his opinion, because next month Fredella's schedule gives birth.

“Bobby, I .. he means Ethan loves you, quickly wake up for our son, he has a fever. I'm home.” Ayu flipped over, slowly leaving the ICU room and GB Hospital.

The car that Ayu and Dariel were riding in drove quite quickly getting away from the hospital. Ayu's two eyes could not turn away from the level building that was still visible in the distance of several kilometers.

“May you recover quickly Bob.” Lirih Ayu daam.

Dariel patted Ayu's arm, and calmed the young mother who was very easily touched by his heart.

“Bobby takes care of a lot, but Ethan, he needs his mother more, so you have to keep the spirit.” Dariel.

At last Dariel and Ayu arrived at the airport and got on the plane, due to the flight schedule of less than thirty minutes.

Before actually flying, Ayu spends time exchanging news with Ethan who is getting bigger but unfortunately his face is pale.

“Later night mommy to home ya darling. Ethan don't fuss, pity Aunt Denna and Aunt Fredella.” The video connection ends, Ayu hugs the phone and kisses Ethan's image on the screen, reducing by seven inches.

The commercial plane eventually flew after passengers entered and flight attendants relayed certain information.

“See you again Bobby, I .. Ethan and I are waiting for you.” Ayu said she hoped that someday, either next month or next year, her husband would come to pick her up with something new. Ayu also wants Bobby to accept her presence as a wife, not just Ethan's mother.

GB Hospitals

“Ayu?” Bobby Armend opened both eyes, even very loudly and firmly calling his wife's name.

“Ayu Jelita, Ayu .. Ayu don't go.” Call Bobby, both eyes look at the ceiling of the treatment room.

“Master can you hear my voice? Hand gestures if you hear it.” Nurse voice, three times gave instructions but the one that came out of Bobby's mouth was only one word ‘Ayu’.

Bobby glanced at the nurse who only saw the eye, then around the white room, the cold temperature began to penetrate the soles of his feet.

Bobby's head throbbed in pain, he remembered why he could be in this particular room, the last incident he experienced when a large-diameter tree fell on the road. He had stepped on the brakes but because of the slippery road, the body of the car hit a tree trunk and rolled over.

“Should not have gone that way, now where is Ayu? Why it feels so close.” Mumbled Bobby.

“Master, Ayu's mother is gone, she came home because her son is sick.” The nurse's voice checks Bobby's heart rate and response to the movement.

Bobby smiled at the thought of a red baby face in his lap, now he must be eager to heal and go home, surely Ayu and her son are waiting in the room that he has decorated in such a way.

“Suster? When can I go home? How long have I been here? Then why should the ICU room?” ask Bobby. He could not wait to hug the wife's tiny body plus the sound of baby crying.

One thing that makes Bobby's heart relieved to hear it all, Ayu has given birth safely, and he did not lose his baby for a second time.

“Master comma, you slept in this room for four months.” The nurse checked Bobby's blood pressure, then wrote it down in the patient's journal.

Once Bobby widens both eyes, four months it means the age of the baby is already large because it still remembers the estimated date Ayu gave birth.

There were a lot of questions in Bobby's mind, all very confusing things. Not a single family member accompanied the hospital, where is MAmi Kezia? If Barra and Papi Leo are obviously busy with work. His youngest brother Mash studied in the blue continent. Maybe Mami Kezia and Ayu took turns to the hospital, it was impossible to leave her son alone at home, Bobby thought.

After an hour of sleep, Bobby was transferred to the recovery room. The hospital has contacted the family, and he hopes to see his wife's innocent face.

“May Ayu go back to the hospital, the nurse said my son is sick. What pain is he? Why did Mami, Papi and Barra take so long. What exactly are they doing?” Bobby sighed, while continuing to try to move his hands and all the limbs that were too long to rest.

Two hours passed at last, Papi Leo and Barra came to see their much-anticipated family member open both eyes.

“Hi hotshot. Build also.” Said Barra clenching fists at his sister's feet.

Bobby laughed and turned to the entrance. Seeking Ayu is also her Mama, the sense of longing is increasingly piled up in the chest. Bobby hopes the woman he has hurt comes along.

“Pih, where are Mami and Ayu? My boy or girl?” enthusiastic Bobby, waiting for answers from two different-age men in front of him.

“What's up? My son is healthy, right?” Bobby's not ready to hear that something's going on with his baby. He also tried to get up but his body was still stiff and difficult to move, fortunately Barra was quick to hold his sister so as not to hit the floor.

“The name is Ethan Adrian Armend, sorry bro... The name was given to me and papi. Pity she didn't have a name until she was two weeks old.” Said Barra glancing at his Papi, handing over all the rest of the explanation to Papi Leo.

“Not a problem Brother. I'm sure it means very well and is appropriate for Ethan. Isn't that Ethan's nickname?” a happy smile was etched on Bobby's lips. He was sure that his son was very handsome and similar to him.

“Mommy is sick, Bobby .. Mami is depressed, because you slept for so long, besides..” Papi Leo's speech stopped, turning to Barra who looked tense.

“What is this? What sick mom? As long as I'm in a coma nothing happens, right?” Bobby growled, not a single family answered all his curiosities.

“Ayu .. he and Mami had a fight. Ayu gets out of the house, takes Ethan. Papi does not know where he is, all this time we look for him but always in vain.” Papi Leo had to explain everything earlier, later or now the same. The sooner Bobby finds out, hopefully can help find Ayu, because his son must have memorized where Ayu used to visit.

“Omong empty, obviously the nurse said. If Ayu was from here, Pih, she came home because Ethan was sick. Why is my wife and son missing now?” Bobby feels guilty, all because of his actions are still tied to the past, until his wife and child leave.
