Chapter 11

Bagaskara was silent for a moment, where maybe he said that leukemia was very dangerous and could cause death for sufferers. That man just smiled.

"Whatever the disease is, hopefully my sister will recover soon," said Bagaskara finally.

"Aamiin" said Aqilah and Azzam at the same time.

Tonight Bagaskara stayed at their house, for fear that there would be nothing if something happened. He had asked permission to Mr. RT by claiming to be a brother away from Rinjani, so that there was no slander. Of course the presence of this man made the two little boys feel happy.

"Om, we both want to go to the mosque first" Azzam said as he entered Magrib time.

Hearing Azzam's words just now Bagaskara's heart trembled. Although he is a Muslim, but mandatory worship is still often hollow. There are so many reasons that make him not pray on time. Sometimes he gets so busy that he forgets the obligation.

"It's raining outside, why don't you pray at home?" asked Bagaskara after seeing the situation outside through the window glass.

"I am a man and must pray obligatory to go to the mosque. It was said father, because the Prophet commanded it like that. Unless we are old for some reason" replied Azzam who was attaching a scabbard to his neck.

"Yes. If women pray at home. Because every Magrib we also have to teach so all I congregate to pray in the mosque," continued Aqilah who hugged a tote bag containing his mukena and Qur'an and also Azzam's.

"Well, that means you're good at teaching, yeah!" Bagaskara smiled happily. He's not very good at this. Only know the letters Hijaiyah, while tajwid is still often mistaken.

"Of course, because since childhood my father always taught us to teach. Father also said that every day we must read the Koran" Azzam replied.

"Dad said, if we want to put the crown on our parents in the afterlife, then we should be able to read the Quran and memorize it" Aqilah added with sparkling eyes.

Again Bagaskara felt touched by his heart to hear the words of these brothers. No one in his family taught him that.

'God, you are a great man. Rinjani loves you so much.' (Bagaskara)

"Those who love to read the Quran and practice it, it is also the family of God in the world. Therefore we must make the Qur'an as a guide for our daily life" Aqilah continued.

Without Bagaskara noticing her tears welling up her cheeks. He immediately hugged the bodies of the two little boys. His tears spilled only hearing the words of truth from the mouth of the one who was still clean of his heart.

"Then Om Bagas will also follow you to the mosque together now" Bagaskara said, wiping his tears.

Of course this made Aqilah and Azzam feel very happy. Both hope that wearing it now is a really good person and not a bad person. Their mother used to remind them not to trust strangers too easily.

"Then Om went first with Azzam. Azzam will come back later to pick up Brother. Because the umbrella in the house there is only one," said the 6-year-old boy.

The merry chatter of the two brothers colored their way to the mosque which was a distance according to Bagaskara quite far. However, the two little children did not seem to complain and instead looked excited.

The distance is quite far, rain, muddy, and the situation began to dark because of the lack of street lights, making most people will definitely choose to stay at home only. Only people with strong faith are willing to go to the mosque in this atmosphere.

Bagaskara kept silent in the mosque while watching the children who were teaching and who memorized the Qur'an. His heart trembled, in him there was envy to see the spirit of the little children who sought it with the purpose of worshiping God. During this time he only studied Islam when there was his grandparents first.

'O Allah, cultivate this spirit in me to relearn Islam. And ease my understanding.' (Bagaskara)

After spending time until Isha in the mosque, the three men went home. Again Bagaskara salute these Rinjani children. The darkness of the night did not frighten them. Truly, the man had to walk carefully so as not to slip, but Aqilah and Azzam looked ordinary while walking.

"Did you go to the mosque every day without a flashlight?" ask Bagaskara.

"Our flashlight is broken. It used to accidentally fall and can no longer light up" Azzam replied.

Bagaskara's concern still continued. When, the brothers were struggling in the kitchen at night making chips. He had already banned Aqilah and Azzam from working on making chips. However, the two little ones did not pay attention to him. They actually move quickly when cutting cassava with a tool to cut thinly.

"Did your mother do something like this every day?" ask Bagaskara while helping to cut the cassava.

"Yes. Mom's better than us. Cutting this much cassava alone is not up to 1 hour," Azzam replied.

"Mother, if doing a job will be done very quickly," continued Aqilah.

Bagaskara's eyes glazed over, he didn't know what to say. The toughness, patience, and sincerity of the Rinjani family in living his life really deserves to be an ibrah for him. Men who have been living with sufficiency, but never feel grateful. He felt it was ordinary.

The three men finished all their work until 09:00 p.m. Bagaskara slept with Azzam, while Aqilah slept alone in his room.

Attar's health condition has now improved and can be outpatient. Of course this made Rinjani feel happy. In addition, Attar also looks cheerful again.

"Sister, eat a lot later, yes. Let's get healthy again quickly" said Dr. Hambali who handles Attar.

"Well, Doctor," replied Attar with a slurred voice.

Rinjani smiled happily, he and the doctor Hambali had talked a lot about the disease suffered by Attar. Like any food that can be eaten or not to be eaten.

As Rinjani returns home in a public transport with her son, she sees someone she recognizes.
