After several hours of waiting for the results of the blood test, the doctor called Rinjani back. The lab test results are out.

"After we have checked the blood, it turns out that the mother's son has lymphoblastic leukemia" said the doctor while showing a piece of paper he got from the laboratory room.

Like being hit by a godam, Rinjani felt pain also called even his legs tremble when he heard the name of his youngest son's disease. The thing he was afraid of was now a reality. Her tears were shed and her mouth could not say anything.

"You don't worry too much, because your son can still recover. The disease is still in early symptoms," continued a doctor named Djatmiko.

Lymphoblastic leukemia, which occurs when the bone marrow produces too many white blood cells, abnormal lymphocytes that are immature (ripe) or called lymphoblasts. This is what often happens to children.

This is the disease that Attar is suffering from at this time. Doctor Djatmiko is also creepy for Rinjani to treat Attar's disease with chemotherapy. It is the main treatment for childhood leukemia. Attar will also receive anticancer drugs to be taken or injected into a vein, muscle, or spinal canal.

Although there are other ways of treatment as well. Like radiotherapy or radiation therapy. This therapy uses high-energy radiation to kill cancer cells.

Target therapy. This treatment uses drugs that can attack cancer cells specifically without damaging healthy cells.

Or bone marrow transplant treatment. This treatment is done by replacing stem cells damaged by the use of high-dose chemotherapy with healthy stem cells.

Rinjani's world seemed to collapse, not even the words of the doctor he understood. As if in the right ear out the left ear. The name of this disease is not foreign to him. His grandmother also died from the same disease as his mother. In this way, there are three generations of Rinjani family who suffer from leukemia, namely the grandmother, her mother who left her while still in swing and also her son.
