My Terms
Two weeks have passed, tomorrow is the fifth. That means in just a matter of hours, Bang Rizky and his family will arrive.
My heart is pounding, did you Mea also feel the same way as I feel now?
I remember Mea saying that when the time came, I would also feel what she felt. This feeling is called Kak Mea suah said. It is true, it is difficult to describe this feeling.
Actually I have some requests that I haven't told Bang Rizky yet. Looks like I should tell her that tonight.
If he objected to my request later, he still had time to cancel his intention to come propose to me.
It's 08:25PM now. I hope he has time to talk to me.
"Assalamu'alaikum, Bang. Can we talk?" I wrote it and then I sent the chat to him.
Five minutes later...
"Wa'alaikumussalam's chat. Can, please. Aura wants to talk about what?" his reply.
"Aura wanted to ask. But Aura please, Brother don't be offended or angry, yes."
"It is Allah." He replied.
"Aura wants to know, is there any intention for polygamy?" my many. There was a little fear in my heart, fearing that the answer was yes.
"Why did Aura ask about it?" he asked me back.
"Jawab it first, Bang. Yes or no?" my reply.
"No." she wrote briefly.
I was glad because he answered no.
"Alhamdulillah then, Bang."
"What's wrong, Ra?" ask Bang Rizky.
"Because... Aura doesn't want to be in polygamy." I answered frankly.
"If I had answered yes, what would Aura say?" tanyakanya.
"Aura will say, Aura won't be one of them!" answer me firmly.
"Owh, just calm down. I'm not going to be polygamous" he wrote and slipped a smiling emoji.
"Why not polygamy? You're afraid you can't be fair, can you?" my many.
"Yes, maybe in material terms I can just share it. But not with the heart." he replied.
"Yes, that's what Aura was afraid of" I wrote.
Fair language means good faith and Istiqamah in living it. Whereas ‘Adil’ is related to polygamy, or married to more than one, is giving the same rights to all his wives.
From Abu Hurairah RA Rasulullah SAW, said:
"Anyone who has two wives then is more inclined to one of them, on the day of the apocalypse he will come in a state of partially tilted body." (CHR. Ahmad and Imam Four).
Fair is required of the husband not in sharing feelings and love. Because it involves feelings and hearts that tend to be easily turned upside down, so it is almost impossible to give the same level to each wife.
The Prophet is a noble person who is also the fairest figure towards all his wives. This was acknowledged by his wives SAW. But as an ordinary man, he could not lie to the heart that tends to love Mother Aisyah more than his other wife.
As the hadith narrated by ‘Amr Bin al-‘Ash as he asked the Prophet:
“Who is the man you love the most?” He SAW answer: ‘Aisyah’. Then I asked again: “Who do you love from among men?” He replied: ‘Ayah Aisyah (Abu Bakar)’. Then I asked again : “After whom?” He replied ‘Umar Bin Al-Khattab’. Then he mentioned some people. (CHR. Bukhari).
This is the other side of the person of the Messenger of Allah who is also an ordinary man, he apparently felt the difficulty of sharing the love of his wives. Until he complained to God:
"What is Aura afraid of?" ask Bang Rizky. The sound of a cellphone sign that there was an incoming message managed to disperse my daydream.
"Aura was afraid that she would have another wife. Brother will tend to love him more than Aura." I replied.
"This is Allah. Unless there is a soul mate. Hehehe." he wrote.
"What?"
"Just Kidding, Ra. Please don't sulk." as fast as lightning he replied to my chat.
"Owh." I wrote. "There's still something else Aura wants to say." I continued.
"Whatever it is, just say it, Ra. Don't hesitate to say it, if I can I will definitely fulfill all of Aura's wishes."
"Aura wants Ijab Qobul in the mosque, okay?" my many.
"Of course I can." she answered.
"There's one more thing" I wrote.
"Tell me. Two, three, or even ten is fine, hehehe." he replied.
"Before Ijab Qobul, Aura wanted Abang to memorize Surah Al-ikhlas three times" I asked.
"Why not Surah Ar-Rahman like most of Akhwat's pinta, Ra?"
"It's okay, Bang. In Surah Al-ikhlas explained that God is one and second to none, neither child nor begotten. Whereas in Surah Ar-rahman explained about the blessings that Allah has given." I explained.
"Then?" tanyakanya.
"Aura wants before we start a new life as husband and wife, we remember that God is one and we must put God first from other things. Always involve God in everything. So that if we always remember God, then in the Lord we will always be grateful for all His blessings. Wallahu 'nature bishawab. That's just Aura's opinion, Bang. And another one, reading the Surah of Al-ikhlas three times is the same as reciting the Qur'an." I explained at length.
"Well, Allah, if that's what Aura wants. No object." he replied.
"Thank you, Bang. Then it's a long time ago, Bang. It's night. Aura wants to sleep."
"Yes, Ra. Assalamu'alaikum."
"Wa'alaikumussalam." I replied.
Thank God, I feel very happy because Bang Rizky always gives a good response to whatever input from me.
I closed my eyes and slowly sank into the dream world.
When the dawn of Adhan reverberated, I woke up from my sleep. Today when I woke up, I felt more excited than the days before.
I perform sunnah rawatib prayers and dawn prayers. After that go help Mom to clean up the cutlery we will use later.
When the sun has shown its light, some brothers come to bring Mother's order cake to be used as appetizers later.
There were also some neighbors who came to cook side dishes for lunch with the Bang Rizky family.
I rushed to take a shower and prepared myself to welcome them.
Around 10:00PM, Bang Rizky's family arrived. Two cars were parked in front of our house.
Uncle told me to stay seated inside, they and Mother will welcome the arrival of Bang Rizky's family.
