It's Not Sleep That Makes Me Dream, But You

It's Not Sleep That Makes Me Dream, But You
Chapter 04: A Little Jealousy

The sound of the school bell rang long enough, finally it was time to go home. From my seat in the back corner of the classroom, I looked at the back of Olivia who was sitting on the front bench. While chatting with friends, Olivia entered the books on the table to the chest of her pink bag. Seen from the side, my ex's smile is still as sweet as it used to be. My heart still grips with that vibration, a vibration that can't be explained by any word arrangement.

He stood up, ready to go to class. Olivia's body was slender, her hair was long bushy, looking graceful from behind. My eyes are still focused on looking at his back, hoping to be anxious while he does not look back, precisely in my direction.

While studying in the same class, we have not yet met each other.

After the break, I went out of class in front of his seat, but my eyes did not dare to squirm towards him, steal a look also not, because shame is just that.

I let out a sigh of relief because Olivia and her friend actually came out of the classroom without even squirming in my direction.

By the way, Adit already left class first because he rushed to the music extracurricular room to give up the member registration form. I asked him if he could actually play the piano, and he said he couldn't. Keep asking me what is his motivation to join the music extracurricular, he replied “I think I have a crush on Grace, yan. That, you know, was playing the keyboard. Hehe..” My guess is really, the purpose he wants to deketin girls, not because of a hobby or can play music.

If the intention is that he is also not a problem, anyway, who knows he can play piano in the future and become a professional. You see, I once heard the saying, “Your future depends on the people around you.”  If Adit is often with people who play music, he will be good at playing music too.

However, another story is that if he only intended to crush girls, and ogah-ogahan learned barprocess with members of extracurricular music, there he would only suffer the pain of heartbreak.

I know what Adit doesn't know. Right now he just thinks Grace is single. Yes, he does, he looks like a single person, but as I observed in the music room, Grace seems to like the cool guy, aka the extracurricular chairman, aka Indra. And vice versa, Indra also seems to like Grace. If so, Adit will be disappointed.

I don't want to tell Adit about it, let him fight first, who knows. But, doubt also, anyway, if Adit will succeed later. I hope my friends will be all right, especially in the heart.

All the books on the table I've been in the bag, I stand up and start getting ready to leave the classroom, then go home.

The twilight sky began to stretch up there, dozens of students scattering out of the school gate, and I was among them, walking with weak footsteps because of the soy sauce. Delicious, later when my home arrived windmilled water anget to maghrib, deh. My body feels weak and doesn't know why. After the shower make coffee, keep watching TV.

At home alone feel very free, want to do whatever it takes, but yes sometimes I feel lonely. If you are lonely, I scroll FB, Tiktok and watch Youtube, it is not productive. Honestly, I rarely learn to have time.

I actually had a dream that I wanted to pursue, but I gave up because I failed repeatedly. It feels free if I continue, mending I give up and mengjalanin a mediocre life, not complicated. If I graduate later, I might be an office person who has a monotonous and boring life, so be it. At least safe, rather than chasing something uncertain.

Out of the gate and heading home, I was greeted by Olivia who smiled as she waved her hand, telling me to go to her. He was two feet away from where I stood. A smile that seemed forced to be etched on my face before stepping up to him.

“By the way, you how are you?” Olivia asked after we walked together in an awkward state for a few minutes.

“Good, how?” I walked while squirming down, did not dare to squirm him directly.

“Good too, alhamdulilah.”

We're quiet again. Silent. The crowd of students who returned home from school was so pronounced, the sound of vehicles on the highway on our left was heard interconnected.

While walking with Olivia, my head did not stop thinking about what questions I should ask her. I wanted to know how much rice is in the market, but I did it too. Finally, with spontaneous again, “Lo where are you going? How do we go in the same direction?”

“Tuh,” Olivia pointed forward, the edge towards the stop not so far from the two of us, “I want to stop.”

Olivia shook her head, “No, I'm in the anter. This will also be picked up later, tell me to wait at the stop there he said.” Olivia smiled after answering.

“Oh, gitu.” I smiled too, but awkwardly. “It's not your house far from here huh? If you take the bus must also be several times, ride a private vehicle also long.”

Olivia was silent for a while before saying, “Oh, I've now moved, I'm just as good as living in aunty.”

“Oh, yes?” I'm curious.

“He’em.” Olivia nodded.

“In which area?” Ask me.

“Gandamaya.”

I hold my chin. That area, yes. Some of the classmates were in their homes in the area as well, most of them who lived there on an angkot ride to go to school. But, why did Olivia move there? Then, why did he stay with his aunt? I'm sure there must be something, if I ask further it feels impolite and too excessive. I'd better get my curiosity.

Shortly thereafter, a boy in a high school uniform riding a green kawasaki ninja motorcycle pulled over from the highway, then stopped at a stop that was headed by Olivia.

“Well, that's him the one who picked me up.” Olivia said as she looked at the person who was still wearing a helmet and leather jacket.

“Thankful, if the person you are waiting for has come.”  I said.

“Iya, I think will wait a long time at the stop, it turns out he is on time.”

The guy who picked up my ex then slowly unlocked the color helmet of the item he was wearing. When the helmet was completely removed from the head, I could clearly see the face of the man. He is the guy who with Olivia fit there in the Black Pepper restaurant semalem.

“Who is he?” I'm so stupid why am I so, on the obvious that...

“Oh, that's my girlfriend.” Olivia answered with a smile.

Kan, it must be her boyfriend.

“Riyan, I first, yes.” Olivia seemed to want to hurry up her footsteps.

“Iya, please.”

Olivia ran over to her boyfriend who was near the stop. He took a step back, gave me a piece of his sweet smile, I could only return that smile with a flat feeling and a little jealousy. Lemes. Even until Olivia and her boyfriend passed, I was still overwhelmed with jealousy.

Seriate...
