Episode Twenty Nine
Before leaving Athens, Nadin took the time to say goodbye to the Hybrid members who now only live four. At least they had been made a hassle because of it, especially Ramos.
“Both yes. Please tell us once. Later I will send a special concert ticket for you,” Ramos said with a smile that won as usual.
"Thank you, brother," replied Nadin."By the way, is Axel all right?"
"You don't have to worry. He's a man with a mental steel."
"Thank God..."
"May I send your number to him?"
"By, Brother."
Ramos leaned his body slightly forward. "If you meet later, call him Dion" he whispered before Nadin stepped away.
It was quite emotional for Nadin to look at the Athena management building for the last time. He has been visiting this place for years. There too his career began to wake up to be very big. And now, it finally has to end up in the same place.
“Ayok,” Invite Tyo. He intended to drive Nadin back to the apartment.
Along the way, Nadin kept looking at his phone. Look at a message from an unnamed number. But he knew clearly who the sender was.
‘Can I see you for a minute today? At least for the last time.’
It has been a few hours since the message came in. Nadin still has not decided whether to reply or not. Until somehow he suddenly felt confident to reply.
‘In the park at 7pm.’ Type Nadin short.
“Bang, I got off in front only yes.”
“You what?”
“Mau solve the problem.”
“Serious. Want what?”
Nadin rushed to put on his mask and hood before getting out of the car. It took quite some time until he managed to persuade Tyo not to have to wait for him.
Finally, Nadin stepped towards the park. Look for a seat hidden between trees and dense plants. He sat leaning back while enjoying the slowly yellowing sky above the fountain that always looked beautiful in his eyes.
There is still an hour and a half left until the meeting time. Nadin could have sped it up. But, he chose to enjoy his alone time in the place. Until it did not feel the sky slowly began to lose its light. And the garden lights began to light up, to replace the sun that was sleeping.
Nadin heard the rustling sound of leaves from the right side of the fountain. When he looked, Juna had just appeared from back there.
It still didn't seem unusual for Nadin to look at the man again. But he no longer wanted to run. And end all the things that make her feel uncomfortable. He also gave a faint smile.
“Still half seven,” Nadin said after glancing at his phone screen.
“I know you must be up first.”
Juna sat down next to Nadin. “You all right?”
The woman laughed, then exhaled. “There may be me all right. Just trying so,” he said with a smile.
For a moment, the two of them kept silent while staring at the fountain.
“I'm out of management,” added Nadin, while not changing the direction of view.
Juna who was quite surprised, turned his head towards the woman beside him. “Why?”
Juna returned his gaze towards the front. “Means, you want to move?”
“Iya. I asked you to stop hospitalization. We both want to move to a normal house, in a normal place as well. Not far from here.”
“You sure mom wants to stop being treated?”
“Iya. Some of my savings will run out one day. And I'm not sure I can get a job that pays well.”
“Let only mother be cared for. Let me pay the hospital fee.”
Nadin shakes. “No, Brother. Thanks though. Let me think about Mom. I do not want to feel indebted to Kak Juna.”
Nadin tilted his seat and clasped Juna's hand. “Dan, I just want to say that whatever happens between us, just ends up on this day.no more hate or anything. I also thank you for all the things that Kak Juna has given and fought for me. Maybe I'm not the best for Juna. But still Kak Juna will be someone special to me, as a friend.”
Nadin's face began to turn red. He tried hard to endure the almost enslaved grief. His lips forced him to smile. “That's all I want to say, brother. Thanks yes.may you be happy brother same what is the choice of brother. And pray that I too be happy with my new life.”
Nadin intended to stand up and leave from there. But until he stood up, Juna never let go of his hand. The man got up from sitting. Nadin could not bear to cry.
“Wait, I have not said anything at all,” said Juna. Still holding Nadin's hand tightly.
“Necessary..”
“Listen to it for a moment. Because this will probably be our last meeting.”
Nadin looked at Juna's face. The man's eyebrows shot up, as if enduring the sadness. “I will also move,” Juna continued. “Next week. To Japan.”
“Why suddenly?” Of course Nadin was surprised. Because it looks like Juna can still continue his career, but it will suddenly leave. Though he should have been the one to seclude himself to a place that far.
Without answering anything, Juna pulled Nadin's hand to make the woman fall into his arms. Juna held Nadin tightly, as if he did not want to let him go.
“Sorry..” said.
Nadin could clearly hear Juna's trembling voice.
“I know one day will definitely make you cry and disappointed. But, I never expected to see you have to go through such torturous days like yesterday. I can't stop imagining you alone, scared, lonely. Even much happier... I'm really sorry..”.
Hearing that, Nadin was no longer able to hold his tears to not flow. He hugged Juna tightly. Expose all mixed feelings in the heart.
After taking off his embrace, Nadin could see Juna's face with his teary eyes. He could only look at her with a smile. “Still yes..”
“One more thing, before you leave. Can I ask for help one last time?”
“Asking what please?”
“I know you might hate or be fed up when you see things related to me. But, can you save my gift ring that time?”
Without any intention of extending the conversation, Nadin simply nodded in agreement.
“Thank you,” reply Juna. He said goodbye and disappeared behind the fountain. Leaving Nadin who was still standing alone, looking up at the sky.
“Five years for. Is that fair?” he muttered alone. Then start walking home.
Today is the last day of Nadin's old life. She as an artist, and she as someone who has a relationship with a man named Juna.
Starting from tomorrow, Nadin has made a deal with himself, that he will start a new sheet. Started all over again, with my beloved mother.
