Just A Professional Relationship

Just A Professional Relationship
S2 - Episode Seventeen

Nadin was still asleep when one of Frans' bodyguards knocked on his apartment door. Though he felt he had just slept a few hours, but had to be forced to wake up. Although the sun was already rising outside.

The flat-faced bodyguard came to pick up Nadin, on instructions from his superior. Take the woman to a magnificent building that is the office of Frans.

In front of the room reads ‘Director’, Nadin steps stopped. He only dared to enter after the bodyguard opened the door.

Frans was sitting quietly behind his desk. Then stop the activity after realizing Nadin had arrived. He stood up and walked closer.

Frans' very serious face, plus the staring from his sharp eyes, never failed to make Nadin feel scary. All of this made him think that Frans might know what he was doing with Stefan. And today the man will give the punishment.

“You are someone who can never be silent. Always do something without telling.”

Frans' words made Nadin somewhat difficult to swallow. For a while, he felt sure that his actions were known.

“But this time you really make me happy,” Frans continued. He's a little bit smiling.

“I don't feel like doing anything.”

“Sure

you just don't know yet. Because not long ago Dwiyatno called and said he would start doing business with me.”

“Oh..”

“She said I should thank you.”

“That's it, right, you want?”

“Yes! Sure oes. Doing business with Dwiyatno seemed to open up opportunities to be able to reap greater profits!”

Happiness was evident on Frans' face. As if to say that the goal has been achieved. It also gives hope for Nadin to find a way out of there.

“Then my task is done, right? You've got what you want. Just just give me what I want.”

“Sure. What do you want? I will buy a cruise ship.”

“I need nothing but freedom. Just let me to go.”

Frans' laughter exploded instantly upon hearing the words just now. The woman in front of him was not joking.

“For sure I can't give you that one.”

“Not have you promised to give me something I asked for after your goal has been reached?!”

“Lho, did you ever say you wanted to ask for freedom? You we agreed it was just the safety of that man, right? You just asked me not to touch him at all. That's it.”

Nadin was silent. Of course he remembered exactly what he had said. However, on one hand Frans was very cunning. He was well aware that Nadin said that because of the circumstances that were indeed cornering Axel. So that what Nadin thinks is just how Axel does not need to be injured. He could not even think of his own freedom.

“What the hell is less than me anyway? There has never been a woman who could resist me all this time.”

Frans pulled Nadin's waist so they both stood very close together. Then close his lips to Nadin's ears. Slightly sniffing the fragrant shampoo that is still attached to the woman's hair. “You’re

mine now,” whispered.

“I told you not to come suddenly. I will not be there forever.”

Stefan talked by phone with Axel— who was suddenly already at the door of his apartment. Right now, he's heading somewhere in his car.

“So, I haven't been long. I'll call you back later when I get home.”

“Later ak... en. ti..” Axel's voice falters as the signal suddenly deteriorates. Perhaps the effect of the rain falling quite heavily. Eventually, the call was interrupted.

While still driving, Stefan typed the message with his left hand. His eyes occasionally glanced towards the mobile phone. A slack that can be very dangerous. Therefore, he almost hit someone who was crossing the street.

Stefan's visibility was blocked by rainwater that never subsided. He was very surprised when suddenly a woman stood in the middle of the road, and almost got hit by his car.

Stefan immediately slammed the steering wheel to the left, while stepping on the brake pedal deeply. Fortunately, the road is quite wide. So he didn't need to get hurt, just enough to feel shock to be unable to do anything for a while.

Stefan glanced at the rearview mirror to look at the woman— who was still in the middle of the road. Standing sculpted, as if deliberately there and let his body hit by a passing vehicle.

Thinking about it, Stefan quickly ran out of the car and headed towards the woman he knew. How many times he was seen, he was sure that the woman was Mala.

“Hey, don't stand here. Dangerous,” said Stefan. Yet the woman before him was still speechless with a downcast face.

“You sick? Let me help.”

Stefan intended to pick up Mala who seemed not okay. But the woman immediately shook her hand. Then looked at her with reddened and swollen eyes. “Go you! don't interfere in my business!”

“What business are you in in a place like this? In the rain anyway. Not good for your content.”

“Shut! Know what you know about what's good for me? The best thing is just dying! So let me die!” yell Mala. His mind seemed very chaotic.

The woman walked away from Stefan, but still stepped in the middle of the road. Although the area is quiet, but of course Stefan can not let it go. So, he's tailing Mala.

“Say go! Don't follow me!”

Stefan was not repulsive, and just walked quietly beside the irritated-looking Mala. “You're not afraid of dying?”

“Nothing is scarier than this life!”

“You think death won't hurt? Do you endure the pain of dying?”

“Shut! I don't need to be lectured by strangers like you!”

It seems Mala still doesn't remember Stefan. “You don't care if people who care about you feel sad after your death?”

Stefan was quite surprised when Mala turned her body towards him. And pushed his body with his already defenseless hand. The woman began to cry as she continued to shout out the anger that gathered in her heart.

“Nobody cares about me in this world! Everyone just wishes I was dead! I'm not wrong, am I? I'm gonna make them happy, right? With my death!” yelled Mala while lashing out at Stefan—'s chest which could only be silent looking at the poor woman.

For some time, Mala kept it that way. Saying a lot of things that Stefan doesn't even understand. Eventually, he ran out of energy and began to collapse.

Stefan took Mala to the hospital and waited for her. He sat beside the bed, looking at Mala's tormented face. ‘Beautiful face. It's a shame to lose the light like this,’ thought Stefan.

Today Stefan was going to Mala's house. He was a little worried that Frans was doing something to the poor woman. Plus there's this weird thing that he got last night figuring out about Mala.

The house that Stefan and Nadin visited was not the real Mala house. Even the old woman they met was not her mother, but her grandmother. It seems, Mala had a problem with her parents after realizing about her pregnancy. Either he was eventually evicted from the house, or indeed decided to move there.

Actually, there's no information Stefan needs from Mala. It was just that, somehow he could not stop removing the look on Mala's face that he saw the other day from inside his head.

Mala's eyes at that time seemed to have not exuded the desire to at least survive. To this day, this has proven true. And at least make Stefan grateful to have been met, although not in a pleasant situation.

“After feeling the loss, you will only realize how important it is to keep a life,” murmured Stefan. Looking at the rain behind the dewy window.
