The cell phone rang and then died.
I canceled the outbound call. Why should I call Endi?Endi is not who I am anymore. But there's no one I can call for help.

"How did you know I was there?" I ventured to ask

The morning Jodi tracked me down. My position was on the way to the supermarket.
