Love Among Family Hostility

Love Among Family Hostility
Time together

The highway is full of vehicles and ends with traffic jams. The honking sounds were everywhere. The loud sounds of the impatient people raise the ears that hear.

And in a girl's red car, Western music was heard. She, Eleena Safira Dirgantara looked towards Arfin Fano Alyas—the man who was currently sitting next to her. Eleena is driving and Arfin is sitting as a passenger. A little strange, because usually the driver is a man and a woman so passengers but for this one case, a bit different.

"Where are you going?" Eleena opened a conversation between him and Arfin. Red light and congestion that has occurred since 15 minutes, quiet the situation inside. Only the sound of the roar of the machine, the horn and the screams of the people alone became the communication between the two.

"No idea." Arfin answered simply. No more additions, the man's eyes were fixed on the pile of vehicles ahead.

Eleena sighed, a little sad to see Arfin like this. However, what can make the situation Arfin is far from being okay now. Eleena sure, Arfin must be confused with various problems. Starting from family problems, friendships or maybe campus problems. Being a student is natural to have problems on campus, maybe Arfin also has.

Eleena drove forward her car as she saw the vehicle in front start moving. Despite the slow pace, Eleena's car continues to move on the road like never before which stopped completely because of long traffic jams.

The silence was re-created. Arfin did not say a word, only focused on staring at the streets without looking at Eleena. Eleena had just seen Arfin for the first time like this, she thought Arfin was not a typical person who could be silent but in fact when she saw Arfin was silent, Eleena was even agitated.

"If we eat meatballs, will you?" Eleena was still trying to open a conversation with Arfin, but the answer from the other girl was a head-butt.

Eleena sighed for the umpteenth time, she let the car go somewhere. With an uncomfortable silence, Eleena continued on until Arfin spoke to her again.

Eleena looked at Arfin from the tail of her eyes, Arfin like a person who lost hope. There was no ray of cheerfulness like the man used to display. Eleena doesn't know what Arfin's problem really is. To be sure, Eleena knows that the man's relationship with her three friends is not okay.

Eleena's car stopped. The girl, who was carrying a red vehicle with four tires out of nowhere, was stuck at a red light.

Eleena's hands moved, replacing the music. Western music that was originally heard, is now turning into Indonesian pop. There are many types of songs on the Eleena playlist. This is one of Eleena's favorite songs.

You are my blood. You are my heart

You are my life, complete me

Oh my dear, you are

Perfect

Tone by tone, lyric by lyric is heard in the ears of both people in this car. Ever since Arfin came into Eleena's arms, the girl realized that Arfin was not doing well. Perhaps the reason Arfin shied away from everyone, was because he wanted to muffle by himself. Finding peace in solitude.

Eleena as a child of Psychology in her college, understood very well that the way people deal with problems is different. Some are aloof to get peace and a clear mind. There are also those who blend in with the surrounding environment to forget the problems that exist. Arfin was probably the first choice.

Seeing Arfin's situation like this, made Eleena take the initiative to take the man for a walk with her. Using Eleena's car, Arfin was invited around the city.

"El, do you love someone?" Arfin's question breaks Eleena's daydream.

The girl turned to Arfin. He did not expect that the man who was now staring at the street asked like that to open up the topic.

Eleena was about to open her mouth to answer Arfin's question, but the sound of the vehicle horn behind her stopped the girl's intentions. The lights are green, and Eleena must immediately drive her car if she does not want to get a tantrum from the people around.

"How are you?" Eleena asked back.

"No papa, El. If you don't answer me, don't you." Arfin turned to Eleena. "Would you go to the beach?" bargain Arfin.

"Beach?" Arfin nodded. "High day gini, you want to go to the beach. That's right." Eleena bobbles head, should Arfin have a better destination idea.

"It's good to the beach, El."

"No. I don't bring sunscreen. My skin will be broken again."

Arfin. The man turned to look at the weather from the window next to him. Indeed, it's been hot today. Going to the beach is not a good option.

"We went to the cafe, would we?" bargain Eleena.

"No ah. Cafe mulu, bored me."

Hearing Arfin's reply, it involuntarily brought up Eleena's smile. The man who had been silent before was unwilling to say, now he had started to reject Eleena's invitation. That's one of progress. Eleena must maintain this condition.

"So where are you going, Arfin?"

"Where is the same origin. I feel comfortable with you."

Starting, Arfin began to revert back to being himself. The king of the dreadlocks and the conqueror of the girls with every word and touch. Arfin was very good at wordplay, and made all the girls stunned. Eleena was also once stunned because of the man, but never to get carried away.

"That's a big lo!" reply Eleena.

"Gue seriously, El." Arfin was honest, for that matter he was honest. Every word she said about Eleena was a truth in her heart. Because of the comfort, Arfin dared to cry on Eleena's shoulders.

"El, you want to go to the movies?" Arfin asked, after his eyes found out there was a CINEMA XXI that had just passed by Eleena's car.

"That's where the cinema is!" Arfin pointed back, the place he was referring to. Eleena sidestepped her red car, turning to Arfin completely.

"Where's the cinema?" ask Eleena.

Arfin sighed, a small clack. "Udah is missing El," the man replied.

"Well."

Despite the bobbing of the head over Arfin's attitude, Eleena kept on complying. Her red car turned around, walking slowly so that the eye of Eleena who wore glasses could find a cinema studio like Arfin had said.

***

"Thank you Ma'am" said Arfin after getting two tickets to the film he had agreed with Eleena now.

Arfin looked at the time jelly on the ticket. There is still 45 minutes before the movie starts, and waiting without doing anything is a boring crazy thing.

"For forty-five minutes" said Eleena, looking at the ticket.

"We are late." If only they had come sooner, Mun Arfin and Eleena would have been in the cinema studio watching the film.

"So where are you going?" ask Eleena.

"We just shop. How's it?" Arfin offered that with great passion and hope. Their position is near the mall, maybe shopping is not a bad idea.

"Can." Eleena immediately agreed without refuting or thinking.

Arfin smiled widely, he took Eleena by the hand, took the girl away from there and headed for the shopping mall. Arfin continued to hold Eleena's hand without giving the slightest gap for the coupling to break. It was up to what people said and thought to her, that Arfin knew she needed calm not just to be

"El, what do you like?" ask Arfin.

"What do you like."

Arfin's voice rang out, "What's specific?"

Eleena tapped her shoulders. For now, Eleena was also confused, what she wanted. Lots of good stuff scattered in this mall, it is very difficult if you have to choose within 45 minutes.

Arfin took Eleena wherever she moved. As the man looked around different types of shirts, shirts and also men's pants. Even when Arfin stopped by for a luxury watch. Just look, not buy.

Eleena sighed, for what Arfin entered this place if there was nothing she wanted to buy. It's a waste of time, my God.

"Like a dress, El?" asked Arfin, stopping in front of the dress shop. Eleena nodded. It was not Arfin who invited the girl, but now Eleena who led the way, sorting out one by one the beautiful dress plastered there.

Arfin followed Eleena, occasionally glancing clockwise at her watch. Eleena stopped long enough in front of one dress, lilac-colored. The girl's hand moved about to touch the dress, but Arfin's sentence stopped everything.

"Udah wants to start. Come back."

Eleena did not have a chance to answer, Arfin had already pulled his hand out of the store. Eleena's eyes were still on the dress. Though Eleena liked the dress, but Arfin did not let Eleena spend the time to pay attention to the dress more deeply. Arfin did not know what Eleena wanted.

These two people, queuing up to make a purchase of popcorn and drinks to accompany when the film has begun. Arfin glanced at the circular watch in hand, remaining 20 minutes before their film of choice began.

Arfin and Eleena waited, chatting occasionally. Until the person who was in front of Arfin, left and now it was their turn to order what they wanted.

Arfin bought two popcorn and Eleena bought two drinks. Though Arfin had already said that he would pay for everything, but Eleena's bad taste, forced Arfin to comply with the girl's wishes to pay for their drinks.

Eleena held two cups of drink, and Arfin held two popcorn with a movie ticket he put in a shirt pocket.

"El, can't you watch with me?" Arfin made sure again, as the two of them were already sitting in their respective seats.

"Safe, Fin. For the sake of what the hell is not." Eleena replied casually, leading nowhere. However, Arfin's heart that could not be conditioned, even made the man hang. Despite sitting relaxed, Arfin seemed to race with his heartbeat.

The two of them entered one popcorn after another and also a drink into each other's mouths.

"Not the popcorn?" ask Eleena. Arfin nodded, stuffing a few more popcorn seeds into his mouth.

The movie begins, the room is full of sudden quiet sounds. All eyes were focused on watching the movie.

"Why choose this?" ask Eleena. The girl held firmly onto Arfin's arm, seeking protection from the burly hand.

"Seru, El," said Arfin. "Don't like horror movies?" ask Arfin.

Eleena shook her head slowly, showing her face. Ah shit, Eleena's eyes are enlarged, and the girl's reaction is shocked whenever there is a jumpscare like a doll for Arfin. It was too funny, Arfin could not help but ruffle the hair of this girl next to him.

"Why not say you don't like it" Arfin said.

"It's not good to refuse you" replied Eleena. Actually from the beginning Arfin's choice was not Eleena's choice. Eleena is not a horror-loving girl, even if she can avoid the horror in her life. Eleena is a lover of romance films, not horror films full of scary things like this.

Arfin held Eleena's hand. "No need to watch the movie, just look at me. While eating popcorn. I'm also pretty like the actor." Arfin let out a small laugh, trying to dilute the atmosphere so that Eleena was not too afraid.

Throughout the movie, Eleena just turned a blind eye. Although her eyes were closed, Eleena was still frightened because the girl's ears were still functioning properly. Through her hearing, Eleena could tell what the film was telling her.

Arfin. Suddenly the sleepiness stopped. Arfin placed his head on Eleena's shoulders. Eleena's eyes were still closed, but she knew very well that the one who was leaning her head on her shoulder was Arfin.

Tenderting her head on Eleena's shoulder was the most comfortable thing Arfin could get right now. With the movie still on. And the hand that kept holding Eleena, Arfin's eyes closed perfectly. The man who had been focused on watching the movie, now the man flew into the dream realm immediately.

Eleena's eyes opened slowly, she glanced at Arfin. The girl snorted with a smile. Maybe in the middle of a horror movie like this, Arfin fell asleep. Eleena's smile that was plastered because she saw Arfin's face, now disappeared when the girl's eyes again saw bruises on Arfin's wrist.

I don't know how painful it is. Eleena felt very sorry for the man who was now asleep on her shoulder. Eleena's hand moved, pulling out the ointment she had put in the bag. Slowly and tenderly, Eleena applied the ointment to Arfin's wound, hoping that it would never hurt her friend again.
