Chapter 6 - Nearly Fired For Chicken Noodles

Week pass.....

In Hana's office, she deliberately told Dennis to buy her some food.

"This is the second time you've bought me chicken noodles. Everything should be as I asked. So, if there's a shortage I want you to give it back!"

"Good, Miss."

Hana pours a lot of chili and saos, while Dennis stands looking at his boss.

Not yet eaten, Hana said, "The chicken cut is too big, I don't like it. I want you to eat it!"

"Miss, i....."

"Fastly eat, there's no way this is thrown away!"

"Miss..."

"Hurry up!"

"Miss let me buy a new one at another chicken noodle shop!"

"I don't taste it anymore!"

"But, Miss asked to buy it at the chicken noodle shop."

"You never know what I want!"

"Miss..."

"Eat or fired?"

Dennis ate the chicken noodles in front of Hana.

The first chicken noodles were forced to be given to the Inca because there were vegetables that made Hana not want to eat them.

Now Dennis gets a second turn, actually he does not really like spicy food. This time, he had to eat it.

Hana could see Dennis' white face turning red. The young man started to get overwhelmed and scratched his head. He just smiled with satisfaction because he managed to prank his driver.

Just 3 mouthfuls, Dennis put a bowl of noodles on the table.

"Why stop? Spend it!"

"Miss, this is so spicy!"

"I don't want to know, you've made a mistake!"

Dennis who gave up finally said, "I'm ready to be fired, Miss!"

Those words were what Hana had been waiting for from yesterday. "Well, now you're out of this office!"

Dennis nodded slowly, he immediately walked out of the room.

Hana laughed with excitement because she managed to make Dennis give up.

Dennis ran into the pantry room to grab a drink, repeatedly wiping the sweat off his forehead.

After the spicy taste in his mouth disappeared, Dennis stepped into his study room Harsya who was in the building as well.

Biom looked astonished by the presence of Dennis who was on Harsya's work floor. "What do you need? Don't you usually come here?"

"Sir, I want to talk to Mr. Harsya" Dennis said, because in the office he had to follow the rules.

"Attime, yeah!" Biom then went into Harsya's study.

"What's up, Biom?"

"Dennis wants to meet with the Master."

"Send him in!"

Biom went out and approached Dennis, "Let's go in!"

Dennis and Harsya now face each other and there are only the two of them.

"What's wrong?"

"Uncle, I want to resign!"

"What!"

"I've promised Miss Hana, sir."

"Dennis, I don't understand what you're saying. What's your reason for wanting to resign?"

"Miss Hana gave me a challenge but I couldn't handle it, so I'd better step down."

"What challenge did Hana give you?"

"I was told to eat chicken noodles."

Harsya was getting clueless.

"Sorry, Sir. Maybe it's very strange, but I can't afford to have to eat chicken noodles with too much sambal."

"I'll get Hana to explain all this" Harsya said, holding the phone.

Shortly after, Hana comes to her father's room. He was so surprised to find Dennis in the same room as him.

"What did you call me?"

"Is Dennis really going to resign?" ask Harsya.

"Yes, Dad. He said it himself."

"What reason?" ask Harsya again.

"I don't know."

"Are you telling him to eat chicken noodles?"

"Yes, Dad."

"Why tell him to eat chicken noodles with a lot of sambal?"

"He bought my order wrong."

"Hana, Dennis can't eat too much sambal. You almost hurt him!" Harsya looked angry.

"I don't know that, Dad." Hana said casually.

"Dad refused his resignation" Harsya said firmly.

"Why, Dad? He wanted it himself" said Hana.

"But, it's not Dennis' fault but yours!"

"Dad, why are you always defending her?" Hana protest.

"Dad obviously defended him because you were wrong, gave a challenge but on condition," Harsya explained.

An upset Hannah chooses to leave her father's office.

"Dennis, you're still working here!"

"Thank you, Uncle." Dennis lowered his head.

"Together."

Hana, who was very upset by the father's decision, dropped her body on the chair. Sticking his legs repeatedly to relieve his irritation.

"How else can I get rid of him?" muttered.

In the afternoon, Dennis, who was still a loyal driver, opened the door for Hana.

"Complete now you!"

"Sorry, Miss. If it's because of me, you blame Uncle Harsya."

"There's no need to apologize, since you were present in my family's life. Everyone's blaming me!"

"I didn't mean to..."

"Don't explain anything, 'cause I don't need it!"

Dennis was silent.

On the way, Hana asked Dennis to stop the pace of his vehicle.

"Miss, where are you going?" dennis asked when he saw Hana opening the door.

"Go back home, don't follow me!" Hannah opened the door

Dennis did not want anything bad to happen to Hana and rushed down. Because the car he was driving stopped by the side of the road above the river.

"Miss, what are you doing here?"

"Go away, don't mind me!"

"Miss, I'm responsible. What if Uncle and Aunt ask?"

"Just tell me the truth, they trust you even more than I do!"

"Miss..."

"Stop there, I want to be alone!" Hana walked away from the parked car.

Dennis followed Hana's pace faster.

Hana stopped when her arm was pulled. "Don't make me rude, Miss!"

"Take me off!" his yell.

Dennis let go of his grasp.

"I said go!"

"I won't leave until Miss comes along!"

"I'll go home, if I'm calm."

"Miss, why is your attitude so childish?" Dennis Tanggung.

"Yes, I am like that. You don't like it?" ask him out loud.

Dennis took a breath and threw it away, he seemed a little hard-pressed to face an arrogant and stubborn girl like Hana.

Pushing Dennis' body away, Hana continued her footsteps.

Dennis did not want to persuade her to follow him to where the girl's feet were.

Hana sat on a bench by the river and cried, Dennis was next to her.

"It's all because of you!"

"I?"

"Since you've been there, they've loved you!"

"Miss, I never intended to steal the attention of uncle and aunt."

"That's what you think! But I see them defending you more than me!"

"What should I do?"

"Go away and don't show up in my life again."

"Uncle Harsya won't allow it."

"You can give me another reason to believe you!"

"Well, I'll follow Miss' request. Now let's go home!" Dennis said softly.

In Hana's heart was so satisfied.

The two walked to a car parked on the side of the road.

Turning on the engine of his vehicle, Dennis drove at a slow speed. He looked to the left and to the right as if looking for something.

Hana didn't ask just focus on playing her phone.

Dennis stopped his car at an ice cream parlor.

"Why stop here?" ask Hana.

"Attent, Miss." Dennis rushed out.

Entering the store, Dennis is greeted by a woman. "Good afternoon, sir."

"Sore," Dennis smiled.

"It looks like we've met before" said the woman.

"really?"

"Isn't Master the wrong address for some time?"

Dennis remembered it and noticed the face of the woman in front of him. "I just remembered!"

The woman smiled and thrust her hand out, "Introduce my name Winny!"

Dennis returned the woman's hand, "Dennis!"

"It's nice to see you back!" Winny smiled back.

"Together, Miss."

"What message do you want?"

"Es cream chocolate flavor one."

"Alright, Sir. I'll make it!"

Not waiting for long, Winny gave 1 cup of ice cream.

"How much?"

Winny mentioned the price.

Dennis paid for it.

"Thank you for the visit, sir!"

"Together," Dennis gave a smile and walked out.

Dennis stepped into the back door of the passenger.

Winny watched him from behind the glass door of his ice cream shop. Inwardly said, "He's just a driver, hopefully one day I can meet him again."

Dennis tapped on the car window, Hana lowered her glass. "Why?"

"Make Miss!" Dennis offered the ice cream he bought.
