Loving My Brother's Fiancee

Loving My Brother's Fiancee
24. Longs

It had been two weeks that Salwa had not met Abra. He actually proved his words to stay away from the man. Honestly in my heart, she missed him so much. However, Salwa tried hard so that the longing was lost with time.

Not much different from Salwa, Abra felt the same way. The man missed his brother's fiancee. Time and again he tried to divert all with work, but Salwa's face always overshadowed him wherever Abra went. Even while sleeping, the man often dreams of it.

Like tonight, suddenly Abra dreams of seeing Salwa cry. However, when the man wanted to help her, he did not have the strength to approach the woman. His feet seemed to cling firmly to the ground being treaded. The sobs and roars of Salwa grew louder and more heartbreaking.

Abra tries hard to have the strength to help Salwa. As the power came, he ran up to the woman. However, dear, Salwa disappeared into smoke. Abra tried to run here and there looking for the whereabouts of the woman. But it was not found either.

He ran as far as he could, still finding nothing. Suddenly, Salwa's voice called for help. There was only an audible voice, the woman herself was invisible. Several times Abra shouted, calling Salwa, but the woman kept crying and asking for help.

Abra awoke from her sleep. Sweat drenched the body, as if he had finished a marathon run. The man did not understand what the dream meant, but Abra felt that something had happened to Salwa. Abra wants to see him. However, there was doubt surrounding him.

This longing really tormented Abra. He's never felt like this before. Even to his longtime lover who had not met him, the man was not like this.

Isn't this what he wanted? Stay away from Salwa so as not to become a problem later on. Abra was really worried. However, still he tried to brush off the thought, and suggested that his brother's fiancee was fine at the moment. If anything happens, Anton will call her.

The man looked at the clock on the wall at 02:00 in the morning. He tried to put his body back to sleep. However, his eyes could not be closed. The shadow of Salwa asked for help, screamed and cried, all in one.

Until Abra chose to stand on the balcony, while enjoying the view that is still pitch dark. A cigarette was lit to warm his body. He thought about what Salwa did and what the dream meant.

"How are you doing now? Honestly, I miss you so much. Whereas before I wanted us to be far apart, but my heart felt lonely. You really took half of my heart. If I fight for it, surely they won't let me and you be happy. What am I supposed to do? I don't want you to suffer either" Abra said in her heart.

The puff of cigarette smoke from the man's mouth is expected to make the heart calm. However, until some of the stems have burned out, Abra's heart is still elsewhere.

Meanwhile, elsewhere, Salwa could not close her eyes either. Unlike Abra who cast out his thoughts by standing on the balcony. The woman prefers to sit prostrate on the prayer mat. He prayed that his life would be better.

Whatever destiny God has laid out for him, he will accept it with sincerity. Salwa knows that God gives what is needed, not what is desired. However, Salwa continued to pray that his wish could be fulfilled.

Too late in his prayer, the woman unconsciously fell asleep on the prayer mat until morning. The knock on the door woke Salwa. Looked at the wall clock, it was five in the morning. Salwa opened the door. There's Sumi's Bik over there.

"Yes, Bik. What's up?" salwa asked after opening the door.

"Oh, it's okay, Non. From last night, Miss Salwa hasn't eaten. Usually early in the morning already in the kitchen looking for food, but from this, Non Salwa in the room only. What, Non Salwa, all right? Aunt is worried."

"It's okay, Bik. I fell asleep."

"Thank God that indeed, Non Salwa, is fine. Better to eat first, usually if the night does not eat, early in the morning look for food."

"Yes, Bik. I'm going down, all right!"

"Yes, then. Auntie wants to continue cooking. Make some food."

Salwa closes the door again after Bik Sumi leaves. He will perform the dawn prayer first before going down.

"Romi, is there any word from Mr Anton?" abra asked after entering his room.

"Yesterday his secretary had already sent the project report. After I've been thorough, everything's going well, sir."

Abra exhaled slowly. That's not what he meant, he wanted to know how Salwa was doing. Is the woman okay or not? However, to ask directly, Abra was afraid that Romi would misunderstand and cause problems later.

"What are you doing here? Is there anything important?" ask Abra.

"Yesterday Pak Bima is looking for you. He said there's something he wants to talk to you about, but it's personal. When I asked him he didn't answer."

Abra is sure there must be something, but she is confused as to where to start the search. The man asked again. "Did Mr Bima say something?"

"No, Mister. It seems like he just wants to talk to you. I've been urged to say his purpose, but he still refuses and will talk directly to you."

"Kira, what do you think Pak Bima will talk to me about? He's been saying strange things a few times, which I don't understand because I'm disguised as Ibra, I just agree."

"What did Mr Bima say, sir?"

"She said, don't you want fun anymore? He also invited me to lunch several times. I thought it was just a regular lunch so, I turned it down. Whaddya think? Do I have to accept it, but if he talks something I don't understand how?" asked Abraham who was trying to extract information from Romi.

Who knows, the assistant knew something about Ibra and had been hiding it on purpose. It feels strange when an assistant who should know everything, Romi actually does not know any activities of his superiors all this time. Just because you don't want to disturb the pleasure of your boss doesn't mean you forget your responsibilities.

"I don't know either. As I said before, every lord Ibra leaves, he forbids me to come."

Romi lowered his head. He knew Abra was suspicious of him, but he really knew nothing.

"Go! If there's anything, report it!"

Romi immediately left without lingering. His new boss really made him a hanger. His attitude was so firm, that it made some employees afraid of him. Unlike Ibra who always smiles and always forgives the mistakes of others after saying sorry.
