Mr. Erfandi was sitting in the park reading a book and drinking fruit juice when he suddenly met his son Aldi who said nothing to him.

"You get back to work fast. Do you need anything from me?" Asked Mr. Erfandi without distracting him from the book he was reading.

"How do you know that I need something from you?" Aldi.

"We don't really have a good relationship. But I'm still proud to say that I know my son well." Said Mr. Erfandi smiling with eyes still not looking at Aldi.

"Stop talking nonsense. You don't try to set an example as a Papa who cares for his son." Reply Aldi with annoyance.

"It's sad that you don't believe that my actions are real." Said Mr. Erfandi.

"......" Aldi said nothing.

"Just whatever. I hope time changes your mind. Now tell me, what do you want from me?" Said Mr. Erfandi

"Very simply, I would like to discuss about your relationship with Nilam." Aldi.

"Ke... Why are you suddenly asking me that?" Said Mr. Erfandi looking nervous.

"Because I'm curious. Why can you marry a woman who has a child with another man." Aldi.

Mr. Erfandi stopped talking for a moment. He seemed to take a long breath.

"It seems you already know the truth." Said Mr. Erfandi calmly, as if he had found out that his son had found the truth and now it did not change anything, but it feels like Mr. Erfandi can release the burden that had been on his shoulders.

"What kind of pressure is Nilam under, so you can marry him?" Ask Aldi again impatiently.

"Since everything has arrived here, I can only say one thing to you." Said Mr. Erfandi seriously.

"....."

"Marriage happens because of attraction." Said Mr. Erfandi.

"You mean a selfish attraction!" Said Aldi.

"As much as you want to call it. But I have good reason to do what I've done." Said Mr. Erfandi.

"What good reason could prompt you to take advantage of the fact that the Nilam family is poor. Is that what makes her his wife her real age better suited to be your daughter?" Aldi was getting upset.

Aldi also hit the table very hard which made the juice glass from his Papa fall on the table. But Aldi doesn't care one bit, because he already knows that Nilam was forced to marry and Leon is his son. Aldi could not stop regretting how he treated Nilam at the beginning of their meeting after he returned from abroad.

"I can't tell you why for now. But you should know that my marriage to Nilam is for his own safety and it would be better for everyone to believe that Leon is my son." Said Mr. Erfandi while remaining calm.

"Oh yeah? But have you ever tried to figure out who Leon's birth father is?" Ask Aldi.

"No, but you seem to care so much about all this. Am I right?" Sir Erfandi asked.

"Of course. because.... I'm Papa of Leon." Said Aldi who finally said everything he already knew to his Papa.

"What?" Said Mr. Erfandi looking so surprised.

"You heard what I said. I'm the same guy that broke up with Nilam 3 years ago to marry you. Now you understand why I was so angry when I came back 3 years later and found out that she married you. Do you know how I hurt that time?" Aldi.

Who wouldn't feel such pain knowing that the woman they love wholeheartedly gives up on their relationship for their own Papa. The same pain that Aldi felt when he came back and found out that Nilam was already with his Papa and even Aldi thought that Nilam had given little sister for him.

"When did you find out that Leon was your son?" Ask Mr. Erfandi.

"Not too long." Reply Aldi.

Mr. Erfandi sighed again.

"I understand and I guess that you want to take back Nilam and your son." Said Mr. Erfandi.

"What are you thinking?" Ask Aldi.

"I'll let you down because I won't be able to give Nilam to you." Said Mr. Erfandi.

"How dare you." Aldi was so angry.

"As I said. Nilam is under my protection and I will not give him to you." Said Mr. Erfandi again.

"You...."

"You can call this an offer. But I'm just trying to protect her and my granddaughter. If you really love Nilam and your son, just once in your life listen to me." Said Mr. Erfandi.

Nothing made sense and Aldi could not think of why things turned around like this for him. His father wanted to keep Nilam because he was protecting Nilam and Nilam kept his secret for reasons unknown to Aldi.

Aldi is now between two options, where the first might make him lose Nilam completely if he did not follow his Papa's words to save Nilam's life and the other was to fight to have Nilam as his wife and live with Nilam and son them.

All day long Aldi thought nothing of it but kept thinking about what he was discussing with his Papa. He even locked himself inside his room, working with his tablet. But his work was not finished because his mind was always thinking about Nilam.

While his mind was still on another world, the door of his room suddenly sounded knocked. Aldi thought if it was Nilam and he hoped it was like that. But he was disappointed when he saw Sarah being compared to Nilam.

"I can't sleep. So I was thinking maybe I could sleep here with you. That's if you don't mind." Said Sarah.

"Sorry Sarah, but you can't sleep here." Aldi.

"But why? We've often slept in the same bed in the past and we've even done more than just lay together on the bed." Said Sarah.

Aldi could not deny that he had done more than just lying in bed with Sarah. But it all happened in the past, when Aldi still believed himself that he loved Sarah. Aldi actually did not know what feelings he had for sarah in the past. But his feelings were nothing compared to the feelings he had right now towards Nilam.

"Aldi, let me sleep with you today." Sarah said with her hands that led directly into Aldi's clothes deeper.

But Aldi grabbed Sarah by the hand and stood away from the couch where she was working with her tablet before Sarah interrupted her.

"That's all gone Sarah, and it's only happened in the past." Aldi.

"Yes I know, but we can make the past come back if you want to give me a chance." Said Sarah pleading and trying to ask for a long-overdue relationship to Aldi.

Aldi could not say anything, but he felt that there was indeed no future between the two of them. Aldi only approached Sarah at this time to make Nilam jealous and now Aldi regrets the mistake he made.

"Aldi, why can't you give me one more chance?" Ask Sarah.

"Because of me...."

Geck! Geck! Geck!

The sound of a knock on the door distracted them and Aldi could not be much happier hearing the knock on the door. But he also thought whether it was Nilam. The door seemed to open and showed a hint of hair with a small head appearing on the door and peeking with her adorable looking eyes.

"Leon why are you still ashamed, come here!" Aldi.

Leon initially hesitated then he left the door and walked over towards Aldi. Aldi looked down to look at Leon.

"What's wrong? Can't you sleep?" Ask Aldi.

Gesture from Leon's head says no. Leon hoped that he could say something easily with his words. But he didn't do it. Aldi recalls that Nilam once told him that Leon only spoke in front of people he trusted.

"Do you want to sleep with me?" Ask Aldi.

Leon nodded his head without saying a word. He made Aldi understand that he felt uncomfortable.

"Well, if you can't sleep, why don't you go to your mama instead of coming here to act so pathetic." Said Sarah.

"Sarah watch your words. Leon's still a little boy." Aldi

"A very manipulative little boy like his mother. She has a Mama and a Papa, so why did she choose to come here and act so pitifully." Said Sarah.

"Leon has my blood. So it's my responsibility to take care of her." Aldi.

"I...."

"And I don't tolerate your rude remarks to him. So please take care of every word you say." Aldi.

"The aldi...." Sarah was not happy.

"Please, can you get out of my room? Leon needs to sleep." Said Aldi again.

Sarah was so upset not only because she was humiliated by a mother and now her son also caused her to be kicked out of Aldi's room. Sarah stared at the little boy for a moment and stomped her feet out in anger.

'Basic little fuck!' Sarah shouted inwardly and she walked out of Aldi's room in anger.

"Bro, that auntie looked really angry." Said Leon suddenly after Sarah left.

"Do you think so?" Ask Aldi.

"Yes, I don't think he likes me. Am I a bad boy?" Ask Leon.

"Omong empty. Of course you're the kindest and adorable kid. Anyone who doesn't like you won't get my attention." Said Aldi directly hugging the little boy's head.

After that Aldi read some story books until Leon was exhausted and finally fell asleep. The little boy looked very innocent, just like an angel. At that age, he was something fragile and sinless and did not understand about what problems were being faced at this time. Aldi could only hope that inside his head when he saw that Leon was soundly asleep, he wanted to protect Mama Leon as well as Leon.

No matter what, Aldi will not allow others to hurt them and one day Aldi will happily introduce Nilam and Leon to the whole world. However, Aldi needs to convince himself that there is no danger in the lives of both of them.

The next day at the dinner table, Nilam was serving breakfast to Aldi, when Sarah suddenly ran towards them using only a towel. Sarah wasn't walking with her baton and her legs looked fine.

"Aldi there's a monster in my room." Sarah said with a panicked-looking face.

No one could tell if there were monsters or not. But Sarah's arrival only shows the reality that has been hidden.
