Marrying a Handsome-Faced Devil

Marrying a Handsome-Faced Devil
CHAPTER 33. All For His Own Sakes.

A few moments passed until Nawa remembered Anis who was supposed to be at Club ARA. He forgot about what happened there. As she recalled, Nawa immediately circulated her gaze to look for Anis.

“Where is he? Why not look?” Nawa murmured to herself as she continued to search for Anis.

When he was not seen, Nawa finally decided to call the girl.

“It's me. Where are you?” Ask Nawa when the phone is connected.

“Nawa? I'm at my friend's house. Hiks, hiks,,” voice Anis sobbing.

“You're crying? What's up?” The soul of Nawa's marketing is out.

“May, hiks, May, she's dead. Huhuhuhuu.”

“What do you mean? Friend's dead? Didn't you just hook up with her yesterday?”

“Iya, right, but.... Huhuhuhuhu..” It seemed like Anis could no longer continue her story.

“Where is that? I'll come there.”

“Really? All right, I'll send you the address.” Anis' voice still sobbing.

After closing the phone, and after getting May's home address, Nawa immediately invites Yoham to go.

“Ayo.” The two went to May's house.

Almost an hour long journey until they finally reached a village. It is not difficult to find May's house because Anis also includes the location when sending the address earlier.

Outside a simple house, it seems that the atmosphere is still crowded even though it is late at night. There are some people who are crowding. There are some police, too.

After parking the car, Nawa did not get out but he told Yoham to find out first. Because he felt something was wrong because there were police there too.

Yoham got out of the car and went to some residents to ask. After a while, the man got back in the car with all the information he needed.

“How?” Ask Nawa.

“That girl named May, was killed, Mr.”

“What? Being killed? Who killed him?”

“Police have not found the perpetrator of the murder. The girl was found in an empty warehouse in the Slipi area in a state of lifelessness and no clothes. It's very sad.” Yoham. There's sympathy there.

Nawa bit her lower lip with a sideways look. But after that he got out of the car and joking in to look for Anis

Inside the simple house, Anis appeared to be still as excited beside an old woman sitting in a wheelchair who was also incessantly crying. The man nodded politely to the people he passed by before arriving beside Anis.

Sensing that someone was coming and standing beside her, Anis immediately turned her head and raised her head. He saw Nawa with his eyes still melting. The girl's gaze still followed Nawa even as the man sat cross-legged beside her.

“I'm so sorry, Mom.” Nawa said to the woman in the wheelchair. He believes it's May's family.

“Thanks. Are you a friend of my daughter's?”  Ask the mother.

“This is my husband, Bu.” Anis answered it. The mother just nodded.

“You want to go home or still want to be here?” Ask Nawa with a soft look.

“Well if that's what you want.” Nawa really felt sympathy for Anis. That girl must have felt lost. “I will also stay here with you.”

That last sentence was able to make Anis slack. He was not sure what Nawa had just said.

“What is it? Why are you staying here? Go home.” Banish Anis blatantly. It's very uncomfortable to have Nawa there.

“I'll be outside. If you need anything, find me.” It turns out that Nawa did not push Anis out.

The man then got up from his seat and went outside the funeral home to join the other residents.

While Anis could only gape while frowning. He did not expect that Nawa would insist on staying there.

Nawa was actually very curious about the incident. He hears that Anis is best friends with May, and fears that Anis will be in danger. So he wanted to make sure of himself.

“Nawa?” A voice shocked Nawa and made her turn towards the voice.

“Duta? What are you doing here?” Ask Nawa. He was happy to meet his old friend who was a policeman.

“I'm in charge of this case. Why are you here yourself? You know the victim?”

“What the fuck? Are you interrogating me?” Seloroh Nawa's.

“Hahaha. Then do you think you don't mind if we move into the interrogation room?”

“Hahaha. You're this. The victim was a friend of my wife. So I'm here to accompany him.”

“Aaah, so?”

“I heard it was so sad?” Nawa started asking probing questions.

“Yeah, don't ask. The culprit is really not human. The victim was stabbed six times in the stomach and chest. The skull of his left head was even crushed. Looks like he was hit with a blunt object very hard or smashed on the wall. His face was full of bruises. The perpetrator even raped the victim who had become a corpse.” Ambassador Said.

“Then do you have the characteristics of the perpetrator?.”

“Already, but this will be very difficult.” Said the Ambassador again.

“Why?”

Nawa's curiosity is growing. He continued to urge the Ambassador to inform him of his information.

“The last person to meet the victim was, the son of a high official. Our steps seemed to stumble. But take it easy, I will try my best to uncover this case.” The ambassador's words sounded very convincing.

Nawa's feelings became increasingly unpleasant. Somehow he felt that Anis was also in danger. While at the Club, Nawa asked the waiter who brought her a drink about Anis while working at Club ARA.

A story that surprised Nawa was, that Anis had a mess with Rendra who was the son of a minister. The maid even told her how amazed she was with Anis for daring to fight Rendra and beat up the man.

The waiter also told me that every day Rendra always asked for the whereabouts of Anis after Anis no longer worked at the Club. Rendra intimidates anyone who covers up Anis's whereabouts, especially to a girl named May. According to the maid, Rendra continued to harass May and even harassed the girl.

Remembering those stories, Nawa seemed to be able to connect the common thread. He believes that this incident is related to Anis. And he'll find out until he's absolutely sure Anis will be okay.

Nawa did not want the neatly arranged plan to fall apart because of a cast that was not on her list. Yes, all this is for his own sake. Not because he was worried about Anis. That was what Nawa's own mind continued to convince even though her heart said otherwise.

The debt of gratitude that the girl once saved him, that was the real reason Nawa intended to protect Anis.
