CHAPTER 40. Between Protecting and Removing.

After meeting with Miss Z, Nawa did not return to the office, but she chose to return to the penthouse because it was late afternoon.

In the car, Nawa keeps looking at the paper containing the account number of Miss Z. He hopes his position will be easier after working with Miss Z. Because he no longer needed to divide the time between protecting and eliminating.

From behind the rearview, Yoham repeatedly glanced at Nawa with a feeling of anxiety. He realized he could not completely ban when Nawa's feelings came into play. He could only warn the man not to involve feelings because it was very dangerous.

“Send the recording earlier to Anoda.” Nawa's orders.

The tape was the recording of Nawa and Bagas meeting. Inside there is a confession from Bagas that will be the proof for Anoda. As promised by Nawa before that he will look for evidence of Bagas' involvement with his stabbing.

“Good, Sir. But what will you do to Miss Anis? Looks like he's trying to get into that room.”

“He will never be able to get in there. Or I'll just finish him off.” Nawa muttered sure.

The car carrying Nawa had already reached the basement of the apartment parking lot. At the end of the corridor, just below the stairs, Nawa saw Anis who was fiddling with his motorcycle. The girl seemed confused when she found out that one of her motorcycle tires had deflated.

Seeing that, Nawa did not go down and instead told Yoham to stay in the car. There was a faint smile that appeared on Nawa's lips when she saw Anis's behavior which she thought was very funny. Anis's confused face ignited Nawa's delight.

While Anis is still confused who tries to fix his motorcycle. But he had no tools to fix it. He tried to get help on his cell phone. But suddenly, though,

A pot of ceramic flowers fell from it and almost hit his head. If only he did not shift his legs in the last seconds, it can be ascertained that his head has been hit by a fairly large pot.

Surprised, Anis fell backwards. He sat down on the basement floor while looking at the soil from the pot that had been scattered everywhere.

Nawa and Yoham who saw the incident immediately rushed out of the car. Nawa ran and approached Anis who still looked very shocked.

“You all right?” Ask Nawa to panic.

Anis who was still in shock just fell silent while staring blankly at the floor.

“Anis!” Shouted Nawa to resuscitate Anis.

When her consciousness had returned, Anis turned to Nawa who was already crouching beside her, looking at her worriedly.

“Are you hurt?” Ask Nawa back.

Anis shook her head with a face that was still deathly pale from surprise.

“Can you stand?” Ask Nawa again.

Anis tried to get up but his legs felt weak so he had no energy and instead fell back. Fortunately Nawa quickly caught her body.

“Yoham.”

“Good, Mr.” Yoham immediately understood what Nawa had ordered. He had to figure out why the pot had fallen. And it's a coincidence that the pot almost hit Anis.

Yoham immediately went to the apartment security office to check the CCTV footage and find out. Meanwhile, Nawa immediately holds Anis and takes her home to the penthouse.

Arriving at the penthouse, Nawa sat Anis on the living room sofa and then moved and took Anis drinking water. After drinking the water, Anis' body slowly returned strong. Although the surprised expression was still clearly visible on his face.

“What's injured?”

Anis shook her head. “It looks like nothing. I'm just surprised. Why did the pot fall?”

“Entah, Yoham is still looking for tau. We wait for information from him first.” Said Nawa who had unknowingly repaired the hair of Anis that was scattered on her face. “What has an incident like this ever happened?”

“No. Why?”

“It's okay. I'm just asking. Rest.”

The fact that Anis was trying to get into the secret room and make Nawa angry, has been sidetracked by the deep worry that permeates the man's heart. The feeling is getting stronger every day.

Starting from a sense of gratitude because Anis has saved his life, now Nawa is increasingly worried about the girl every time. He knew he shouldn't feel that way. But he himself could not even control his own heart. No matter how hard he convinced himself that Anis was Dianty's man, but the hatred slowly disappeared.

But to keep his goal, Nawa does not show his feelings to Anis. He let the girl think she was just pretending. He himself did not like this, because his plan could have been destroyed at any time.

Yoham, who had just returned from the security room, immediately approached Nawa and reported what she had obtained. He handed over pieces of CCTV footage from the 4th floor staircase that recorded a man accidentally dropping the pot. And that man was none other than Bagas' secretary. Of course the secretary was acting on orders from Bagas.

“Who is it?” Anis asked who did not know who the man was.

“Secretary Barra.” Answer Nawa lirih.

“Secretary barra? Why would he want to hurt me?”

“Entahlah. I'll find out why.”

Even though after hearing the name barra, Anis became aware that the threat of barra to him was not playing games. The man was warning her about the deadline.

“I want to go to room.” Said Anis who immediately got up and went to the room. Leaving behind Nawa who could only stare at his departure with a pias look.

“Search him.” Nawa orders Yoham to find the secretary and teach her a lesson.

While in the room, Anis was pacing back and forth while biting her fingernails. He was thinking hard how he could outsmart Nawa's fingerprints to get into the secret room. When he had no solution, he remembered that Dianty would help him find a way for him. But until now, the woman had not contacted him at all.

Anis felt that his life was on the edge of the horn. He was almost crazy thinking about it. He regretted for a moment that he had accepted the offer.

“Why not sleeping?” Nawa's voice that did not know when it came made Anis again surprised. He even tiptoed and felt his heart almost jump from his chest.

“You surprised me. Hhhah.” Said Anis while stroking his chest.

“Rest. Everything will be fine.” Nawa tries to convince Anis that she no longer needs to fear getting hurt.

After saying that, Nawa left after tightly closing the room door. She went to her study to send Miss Z information about who to look out for and who to eliminate.
