Tommy Wong's past!

When Fiona leaves the family room, Tommy and Dave are having a cup of coffee made by Fiona. They have long been friends and co-workers, but Dave never asks questions or meddles in Tommy's personal affairs. Tommy also never asked for any help from Dave. Tommy is always deft and efficient at work. He is famous as an iron-handed lawyer who is good at handling his cases. Almost all the cases he has handled always won in court.

Dave is very grateful to have a partner who is very reliable and smart so that the office he founded can be like now. Almost every day they will get new cases with a not bad payment as well. But unlike Dave, Tommy is sometimes willing to become a lawyer for free for people who can not afford and get injustice. Even if you don't get paid, it doesn't make Tommy work carelessly. He will work equally hard for all the cases he handles! It made him more famous among the incapable and the people were very respectful and disinclined to him!

"I just found out that your father left your mother and you when you were little to be with a model!" said Dave.

"What difference does it make if you know it or not? It has nothing to do with work!" tommy answered coldly.

"It must be a damn thing! I thought I was your partner and your best friend! I always tell you whatever trouble I have!" said Dave offended.

"I don't think you're interested in my personal affairs!"

"I just don't want to be the annoying guy who always meddles in your business but sometimes I'm curious too, you know!"

"What do you want to know? For today I will answer all your questions!"

"REally?!"

"Yes, before I change my mind!"

"Tell me about your mother and your sister!"

"My mom is just an ordinary housewife. Because my father always met our needs, my mother always focused on taking good care of us. Until when my father decided to leave us for another younger woman, my mother was devastated and fell ill. My mother had diabetes and also had a stroke. But despite the illness, my mother kept trying to work to support us. He worked as a laundry washerman in the morning and sold food in the afternoon. She never complained in front of us her children!" remember Tommy sadly.

"I hate my father so much! Never once did he try to find us. Only when he was dying and his property was depleted by that woman did he try to find me who was already successful as a lawyer. But never once have I come to see him until now!" continued Tommy.

"Do you know where your father lives?"

"Yes I know but I really don't want to see him. That is his karma! I know he's suffering from stage 3 bowel cancer. My sister has met him and sometimes helped him without my knowledge! But I really can't forget what he did to us, especially my mother! My sister was so little when my dad left, that she didn't understand what it was like at the time! I didn't forbid it either because you knew that my sister was going against me and our relationship was going to be bad! Before she died, she told me to always take care of my only sister!"

"Who's your sister's name? Why doesn't he ever come to the office?"

"Name Anne! He now works as a manager in the town of YY where your parents live. So he rarely comes here. Sometimes when I'm on vacation, I'll go visit him. He will get married later this year! Thank goodness her future husband was a good man!"

"What about you?"

"What's wrong with me?" Tommy's confused.

"I'm looking for a woman like Fiona. A beautiful girl, sweet and has a motherly disposition!" tommy was serious.

"You're kidding, right?" ask Dave.

"No, I'm not kidding! You can't see a diamond in front of your eyes and you want to trade it for a stone. If you really waste Fiona, I won't hesitate to you anymore! I also have not had a boyfriend for a long time because I am always busy pursuing my ideals as a lawyer! Now I'm not looking for a girlfriend anymore but I'm looking for a wife!"

"Find someone else there! Fiona's mine!"

"You made that letter yourself?"

"I know I was stupid but now everything is different!"

"What's different?" said Tommy who became curious.

"I... I've fallen in love with him! But I don't know how she feels about me!"

"Did Fiona know you were in love with her? Have you told him?"

"Not yet! I couldn't tell her because I wasn't prepared for rejection! I'll make him fall in love with me!"

"You're blind, huh?"

"What do you mean?"

"You think the answer to that yourself! I'm glad to see you suffer like this!" tommy replied happy.

Dave must be really stupid if he can't see and realize Fiona's feelings for him. Tommy can tell just by the way Fiona looks at him! But Tommy will let Dave suffer a little. It never hurts to have a little fun, inner Tommy.

As the day wore on, Tommy ordered a taxi online so he could take it back to the office to pick up his parked car. Fiona and Dave drive Tommy forward until he has boarded the car and bids farewell for tonight.

Fiona has returned to the house, while Dave is still standing staring in the moonlight and thinking about what Tommy said earlier!

What do I not know or realize? thought Dave grimly.
