Matchmaking Bond
Miracle

Shortly after Angie's return home, a nurse calls Dave into the room where Fiona is. The nurse said that Fiona's vital condition had improved so that the girl could be transferred to a regular treatment room. They need Dave's signature to move Fiona. Dave chose the VIP room so he could wait for his wife as long as he wanted.

Two nurses came and took Fiona's bed to a new room. Although Fiona's condition has improved, the engine and monitors remain installed. Dave carries the belongings he puts outside and follows the nurse pushing Fiona's bed.

At least in this new room, I'll be able to be with Fiona 24 hours a day, Dave thought.

The VIP room that Dave chose was like a hotel room with complete facilities. There is also a bed for waiting patients, so you can rest better here. Although Dave had not thought of taking a break there, Dave walked over to the pantry table and made coffee for himself.  Dave sat down on the chair beside Fiona's bed drinking his warm coffee. After her coffee runs out, she begins to tell Tommy about Fiona's move to a new room. Tommy answered quickly that he was happy and more relieved. Tommy says he can't come until tonight because he has to take care of the work and business at the police station.

Dave does not complain because he knows that Tommy is helping him to find the culprit and replace himself in the office. Dave feels very grateful that he has such a great partner like Tommy.

Dave leaned towards Fiona and saw the girl's long eyelashes move and her dark eyes opened. Fiona's breathing was still rough and the girl looked very weak. But it seems Fiona is looking at Dave.

"Fiona." whispered Dave in the girl's ear.

Fiona's eyes were fixed on Dave's face, but the girl did not react at all. The girl's eyes were empty.

"Can you hear me, baby?" ask Dave gently.

"It hurts!" whispered Fiona raspy. The girl frowned and grimaced in pain.

Dave's big hand trembled stroking Fiona's hair and face.

"Praise God you're alive!" dave said, his voice hoarse and broke despite his control being as strong as steel. Dave bowed himself and swept his lips to the girl's dry lips.

"Thank God, thank you. Thank God for bringing you back to my side!" erang Dave's.

Fiona blinked, barely realizing anything else but her pain. He breathed and closed his eyes again. His face was cringing in pain. "It hurts!" said.

Doctor Rio who had just finished his surgery and got a call from a nurse, immediately came to check on Fiona. Doctor Rio nodded towards Dave before going in to check on Fiona's latest condition.

After doing some deep checks on Fiona's state, Doctor Rio and the nurses walked out of the room. Dave who is waiting, can't wait to get the latest information.

"He'll be fine. Now it's about time. You can stop worrying!" doctor Rio said as he patted Dave's shoulder to calm the man down.

Dave thanked Doctor Rio, then went to the end of the hallway and leaned against the wall, trying to control himself. It had been too long since he had been in hell until the relief that had appeared felt very shaking. Fiona survived. The girl will live. Dave swept his watery eyes. Dave can't control his happy self because the love of his life will return to his side.

Dave pulled out his phone and called Tommy. The man has every right to know that Fiona is conscious! Moments after hearing the connecting tone, Tommy raised his phone.

"Fiona is awake!" dave's screams were full of enthusiasm.

"Praise God. Thank God!" answer Tommy with relief.

"Yes, now I'm relieved. If you're too tired, you don't have to come tonight. Because Fiona also still needs enough rest. Come tomorrow!" say Dave.

"Then I'll finish something at the police station first then I'll go back home!"

"Have you found the culprit yet?"

"From the campus CCTV footage, we can be sure that the one who stabbed Fiona was Simon and now he's on the search list for people aka fugitives! You just calm down. I'll take care of Simon!" tommy's promise to Dave.

"thank you. I know I can count on you!"

Dave hangs up the phone and goes back to Fiona's room. It was seen that the girl had fallen asleep again because of the dope given by the Doctor. Dave decided to rest in the chair. A chair to get closer to Fiona's bed. Then Dave clasped Fiona's hand and fell asleep next to the girl without ever letting go of her grip as if the girl was going to leave him if Dave let go of her grasp. At least the girl was conscious and it really made Dave more relieved. Dave thinks he's gonna lose Fiona forever.
