Yogyakarta.
Caca still remembers how she sang cheerfully in the kindergarten schoolyard back then. Caca still remembers when he marched on the grounds of the Elementary School school a few years ago while attending the flag ceremony. Until when he wore a blue white uniform for the first time, the fateful day happened.
When he was about to go to school, his father advised and asked Caca to come to a warehouse far enough from where they lived which at that time was still contracted. His father said Caca would be given money for his pocket tomorrow which, of course, would be impossible to refuse given the amount of allowance he received from his mother, not how much.
Since long ago, Caca has never felt good and decent life like his friends. Since she was in elementary school, Caca has helped her mother sell at street stalls, selling rice gudeg. His father, let alone work, only knew how to spend the hard-earned money collected by his mother. Tiringless to squeeze sweat by selling day and night at a roadside stall that is not necessarily his income, his mother continued to struggle. Sometimes quiet, and if you're lucky, the rice gudeg quickly run out and they both can quickly get home to rest.
That morning, Caca's steps began to enter the warehouse area of an empty factory that was already slightly mossy. People said, this warehouse has been more than fifteen years abandoned. Caca was not born at the time.
The smile that had been accompanying his steps, vanished when he saw how his father had greeted him rudely. His thin arms were pulled forcibly to enter the warehouse.
“Dad, said dad would give pocket money to Caca. Why was Caca put in this scary place?” asked Caca who was twelve years old and still innocent.
“You want money, right?” asked her father a little pressing, and Caca nodded innocently. The man named Joko smiled sideways, then said. “Then you sit here first. Dad wants to go for a second buy a cigarette.”
Caca said without any suspicion, then sat in a dirty chair that seemed to have been prepared by his father.
“Father cepet back yes. Caca scared.”
“Iya ah! Garlic bener!”
Caca saw her father shut the door, then she heard the sound of a lock padlock, which instantly made Caca panic half to death and run after her father. He banged on the door made of thick aluminum until it sounded loud enough because of the empty room.
“Yeah, open the door. Caca scared alone.”
“Child gob-lok! Diem is there. Someone will pick you up. Love you pocket money.” cried his father from outside, then laughed happily. Caca who immediately understood about the situation at that moment banged on the door without pausing for a moment. He was trying to find help. Hope anyone comes and is willing to open the door for her to go back home and help her mother at home. But vain. Who can hear him banging on the door of the warehouse in the middle of this thicket?
Caca thundered in front of the sliding door as high as the Yogya monument. He bent his legs and cried among the created blemishes.
But, his brain that was lacking intelligence was suddenly like being given a miracle by the Power. He also stood between his own eerie roaring cry filled every corner of the warehouse. He looked for a way out, turning to every part of the room to look for something he could use to escape.
Until his gaze was pounded on a glass window that was a little high that he was impossible to reach or climb because the warehouse was completely empty.
Then he found another way. He ran around looking for something in fear that made him want to cry even harder. Then he found two tables that look reot and almost collapsed.
Caca pulled as hard as he could, then compiled it laboriously. Carefully he piled up the next table, then the chair. Now he could reach out to the glass window and hit hard until the glass just broke, but still had trouble climbing it out.
Still armed with determination, Caca continued to try to climb the slippery wall. And it seems that God still loves him again, he finally managed to be among the window frames that still have the rest of the pointed glass and scratched some parts of his body.
And now, the next fear for Caca is, how to get down. If you jump, your leg can break. But if he remained silent, he would definitely be caught by his father again.
All the rest of the courage he gathered, and Caca jumped from quite a frightening height. As a result, Caca's head hit the ground bush quite hard, one hand sprained, and his hips like broken because he accumulated some body weight when falling landed. But he's not giving up. He still had to run home in a different direction to the direction his father came from if he did not want to get caught again. He walked out of this empty building area through the back of the building. His uniform even got stuck and torn on the back because it had to pass through a broken wire net and also taper.
And arriving at an unpaved village road, he met someone he could ask for help to drive him home and soon met his mother. Luckily they were good people, and drove Caca home to the mother who was still home and had not yet left for the stall. Indeed, it was too early to open a stall at the usual hour his mother started the activity.
His mother was so surprised to see the state of Caca which at that time was so sad. Some parts of his skin were bleeding from scratches what Julia did not know, his hands were bruised quite large as sprained, as well as his head which was seen there was a bruised lump on the forehead. Julia took Caca in her arms, crying hysterically and asking for Caca's explanation in front of the couple who had just driven Caca home.
With a raucous voice Caca told me everything.
“Civilized! Your father's insolent!”
The couple intended to report the incident to the police, but Julia detained and banned both with a little debate, until they finally gave up and let Julia with her decision.
Don't wait any longer, or everything will get worse if Joko comes home and forces Caca to come with her again, Julia chose to ask the husband and wife for help to take him to the train station after packing some clothes belonging to her and Caca's. He doesn't care about anything anymore. Includes materials that he wants to sell later. Armed with the rest of the savings, Julia took Caca away from Yogyakarta to Jakarta to hide, avoiding the father who wanted to sell his own daughter without knowing himself.
All that worked, Julia rented a small rented house at a minimal price according to the money she had. He managed to take Caca away, but not with the trauma his daughter suffered. Because Caca still looks so scared and hit.
But fortunately, unexpectedly Julia someone who lives not far from where she lives, selling their house at a very cheap price for the size of a big city like Jakarta. Julia was desperate to buy it with loan money that she paid off every month and deducted from her salary working at a confectionary company that she worked for. Caca and himself also changed the status of the population to be citizens of the capital, hoping that all the dark past would go forever with bad memories there. In the city where his daughter opened her eyes for the first time, Yogyakarta.
“Again?”
Nolan's heavy voice shocks Caca from her past daydreams to Caca's body being shocked. Inevitably those bad memories came back while in this city. A city he will never forget his bad memories of the past. But everything just came out when Nolan spoke.
Nolan was forced not to join the group to the tourist attractions because Caca refused to leave. Nolan could not bear to leave Caca alone at the inn, and decided to stay at the inn alone, accompanying the caca. The atmosphere of the inn was quiet again because everyone was now having fun in a tourism destination that had been planned since the beginning. There were only Nolan, Caca, and three others from the entourage who chose to sleep in their respective rooms due to exhaustion.
Nolan took a seat next to Caca, circulating views out into the outdoors featuring views of the rooftops of residents' houses and vehicles speeding past each other on the asphalt of the road.
“Different.”
Nolan turned his head quickly, looking at the sad face mixed with a smile that was being shown in front of him, making his heart wonder why Caca looks like hiding something from him.
“Different how?”
“Time.”
Indeed, time seems to spin so fast. About eight years ago Caca left this town, and now this town looks very different from the last time he saw it.
Nolan was still trying to read what Caca had in mind, even though it would be impossible.
“Nol,”
“What?”
“You, love your papa?” caca's question suddenly makes Nolan have to turn the brain looking for answers.
To be honest, the affection is still there, but it is buried deep in the hatred that is too excessive.
“Why do you ask like that? That's not Lo.”'s business
Caca simply threw his smile in a free direction, not to Nolan who was not far from him.
“I just want to know, do you still want to forgive the mistakes of people who have made you hate him.”
Nolan is increasingly confused because of Caca's speech that is like not focusing. Caca seemed to be just talking, his blank gaze had no meaning at all.
“Lo why the hell?” ask Nolan jutek.
“I? I'm not why-why. There is just something that disturbs the mind. But slightly. Just a little.” strangled Caca as he woke up.
Caca's expression turned cheerful back. It makes a small shape with the index finger almost in contact with the thumb.
Nolan let out a rough breath when Caca managed to make him worry like nothing more.
“I, there is actually a little bit of awe to papa. He never tired of fighting to live me like this.”
“Like this?” tanya Caca memicing trying to find out the meaning of Nolan's speech in the word ‘Like this’.
Nolan just put his shoulders together with both hands raised as high as his shoulders, then his lips curved and eyebrows slightly raised. “Ya, put it this.” he said casually.
Caca nodded in understanding.
“Okey. So, do I need to record this confession?” coda Caca on the chimps of Nolan's crisp laughter. Caca always managed to make her flabbergasted and laugh with her silly demeanor.
“Record only. Lagian Lo will not be able to meet Pak Hendra Suwandi easily.”
Caca smiled and whispered in his heart.
You're wrong, Lan. I can even get your papa to come here right now.
“Pak Hendra is a selfish and annoying guy, Ca. In addition, he is also difficult to find because he is too busy doing his job without caring around.”
Caca whispered back in his heart.
You're wrong, Lan. That guy loves you so much. He even wrote your name on paper as the owner of all the assets he had from his hard work.
But, I can't say it until you say it all yourself to your papa. I just hope and will try to make you realize everything and return to your papa.
Caca stared at Nolan's beautiful face. He also smiled as he said,
“She loves you.”
Caca hope, Nolan realized that what Caca just said, all comes from the sincerity of Hendra's heart.
Sorry, I fooled you like this.[]
