“Ca, whatever you hear, whatever you know without me knowing what it is, believe me that I am still Louis who loves you so much.”
Louis did not lie about it, and he expressed his feelings sincerely. However, he could not say anything about the Gita to Caca.
“Then, who's Gita?”
Louis' heart stopped beating as the question rolled from the lips of the woman he loved. His eyes were wide behind Caca's back.
“Is he the owner of the hairpin I found in your house?”
“It ... ”
“Now, answer me honestly once again. Do you still love me?”
Louis tensed. He distanced himself and looked straight at Caca.
A day ago, probably the same day that Caca was looking for information about her, Louis also had a face-to-face meeting with someone.
Yes, he is the man who makes Louis always in the thick of suspicion and jealousy. That man was Nolan.
“Sorry late.” says Nolan interrupts. He sat down in front of Louis who seemed to be waiting. “A lot of work I have to finish before coming here.”
Louis smiled at jumawa. “Yes, I know you're a very busy person. What message do you want?”
Nolan and Louis, who were still wearing expensive suits according to their class and taste, looked equally open the menu book, then order a drink and some simple sweet foods that can be used as a companion to chat.
“What do you want to talk to me about, until you meet like this? Aren't you busy too?” cerocos Nolan snobs familiar. He did drop his cold image in front of the big guys that he could make friends or whatever it was that would benefit him. Understandably, the soul of the business must also keep going.
“There is something I want to know about your relationship and caca.”
Nolan's smile that had previously looked wide, slowly shrank and disappeared. But he again forced himself to smile amid the stale jokes he said in front of Louis.
“Ah, so that's your goal to take me to meet?”
“Yes. Caca's my fiancee, and we're getting married. So there is no harm if I ask something that I consider important—”
“Are you not supposed to come with Caca if you want to talk about this?” ketus Nolan makes Louis a tetohok. Yes, it should be so that everything is clear and does not seem to be covered. Nolan does not want to mince words let alone betray Caca by ruining the source of her happiness. Nolan realized, Louis is the source of Caca's happiness today. So, he didn't want to ruin it.
“I, just want to know from your side.” said Louis coldly trying to dodge. He no longer looked as friendly as before. “I have complete trust in Caca, and want to know what side of you looks like .. want him.”
Is it too cruel for Nolan to be blunt right now? Oh, I think he would love to reveal the fun past he had with Caca in the past, even though in the end there is nothing fun for them to remember as good memories.
“So, you are now jealous of me?” nolan's clumsiness was echoed in the tone of the joked and also the false laughter.
Louis was honest. “Yes. And you need to explain to me so that I no longer put any suspicion between my jealousy towards Caca.”
Nolan laughed funny. “Should have, you just trust her. Caca couldn't have betrayed you. I know who Caca is despite—”
“Tell me what your relationship was in the past.” stressed Louis to Nolan.
Nolan who tried to slengean again put on a serious face. Should he be honest and actually say this to Louis? Will this be okay and not ruin Caca's happiness?
It feels sick to have to wear a mask to be a person too good in front of others.
Nolan grabbed a drink that had just been served by the waitress. Sipped it without cutting off the view of Louis who looked very intensely watching him.
“You want to know this, to attack Caca's weakness if he makes a mistake or corners you?” nolan asked after putting the glass back on the table. Nolan always chose drinks that are far from alcohol, because he still remembers well if Caca also does not like intoxicating fluids that can damage the health of the body.
Nolan's instincts say that. He will not like if the reason Louis wants to know about their past, will be used as the man to drop Caca mentally when they are involved in problems.
Nolan nodded. He understands now. Louis might just misunderstand and he needs to straighten that out to keep Caca and this guy in good shape.
“We are just friends.” said Nolan calmly. “We are close, and we do not have any special relationship as long as we establish closeness as friends.”
There was a relief in Louis's day when he heard it from Nolan's mouth.
“I have a taste in Caca, and it wasn't reciprocated until we met again a while ago.” I'm Nolan because he won't run away and become a loser by letting Caca be the target of suspicion alone.
“I forced a meeting some time ago, and she refused even though I still came to her place.”
Louis tried to guess. Was Nolan talking about the reason he was in the parking lot of Caca's apartment a few days ago?
“She even asked me not to see her again without you.”
Louis realized he was guilty now. It turned out that Caca had never hidden anything from him even though this little thing was bothering Louis these days. He and Nolan were really just friends like that woman had said. Louis also did not get the slightest look of lying from Nolan's eyes.
“He loves you so much, Lou. Never waste a woman as good as her.”
Louis's heart melted. What about his lies to Caca? Will the woman accept the reality if she comes home with Gita?
“My answer, Lou?”
And now is the truth.
Louis returns from a daydream about his secret encounter with Nolan.
“Is he the owner of the hairpin I found in your house?”
Louis looked at her and tried to grab Caca's face for her to touch, but for the first time the woman dodged and made Louis's arm hang in the air.
“Really?” caca said, still demanding an explanation from Louis between the distance that had been created between the two of them.
No longer wanting to lie any further because Caca even knew the name of the woman who drove him home, Louis nodded with a twinkle of overwhelming fear. Especially when looking at Caca's slightly teary eyes and throw a gaze from him. Louis was afraid that Caca would leave him.
“So it's true you were with the woman that night.” the murmur Caca spoke so heartbreakingly Louis. “Why are you lying to me, Lou?” caca continued without being able to look at her fiance's face. “Padahan, if you want to be honest with me, I'm fine.”
“Ca, forgive me.”
Caca gulped his hard-earned salivary. Her throat felt so dry as it held back the crying. And he also would not look weak just because of the trials that came on him and Louis. But the thing is, Louis's been lying to him, and it's very hard for him to forgive. Caca doesn't like a lie. He was afraid, because a lie would never end well.
Caca leaned over to grab a bucket of dirty water. He turned around to prepare to leave Louis because he thought there was nothing more they needed to talk about.
“Ca,” call Louis softly, then hold Caca back from leaving. “I can explain this to you.”
“What else? You're not being honest with me. And maybe that dishonesty, will add up to other dishonesty when you talk to me.”
Caca's trust slowly dissipated, and Louis regretted not being honest.
“OK. Handed me first.”
Caca silently watched Louis's face. “We talk later. I'll come to your house after finishing work today.”
Caca lowered his head and smiled wryly. “Good. We talk.” broke up Caca in the end because he also does not want to be selfish just because it justifies his own point of view. But the name Gita, makes Caca can not think clearly. “I will listen as beautifully as what night it was for you.”[]
