Jiraiya was still waiting when he suddenly felt a presence outside of the battle.

"So that's the case.." - he concluded that this must be Akatsuki, but he did not act instantly - instead he thought what the best course of action was: to go for them or wait for the opportunity to ambush Orochimaru?

"I'm worried about who Orochimaru wants to call, but Akatsuki is more of a wildcard and more unpredictable, so I have to pick them..."
