Mom, Why Am I Different?
Chapter 11

Since then I have never seen Niko come to my house. I was thinking if what I had done back then managed to get Niko away from my life. Until one day when I was busy with a story I wrote on my phone suddenly heard the sound of someone shouting in front of my house. 

"Rani out you! Don't hide from us" the voice shouted to the surprise of me in the living room.

"Who's mom is yelling?" asked Luna who had just come out of the room while rubbing her still sleepy eyes.

"Mother doesn't know either, you just go in let me see who's coming" I replied, asking Luna to go into the room.

After taking Luna inside I went straight out of the house. It turned out that my former in-laws and Niken were yelling in front of the house. After closing the door, I walked over to them. 

"What's your mother coming here for?" ask my ex-in-law politely.

"Eh basic shameless woman, how dare you tease my husband!" niken snapped while pushing my body down.

At that time I immediately saw my surroundings which turned out to have a lot of neighbors coming. I vaguely heard rumors about my nature that they thought had taken away Niken's husband. Others whisper that I am a woman who does not know that I am divorced, still teasing a married ex-husband.

"You're saying I'm a shameless woman? You wait here" I said as I walked into the house.

"Mother, who was screaming outside, I'm afraid of Mom" Luna said as she watched me walk into the room and pick up a brown envelope.

"Luna is here, I promise to return soon" I ordered, sitting Luna in bed.

"No, I want to come with Mom out," whined Luna who made me unbearable and finally allowed her to come out of the house.

This is the first time my mother-in-law saw Luna. Seen a look of admiration and nervousness when he saw a grandson who had not been recognized. To eliminate his nervousness, Miss Sarah immediately turned her face away from Luna.

"You said I was a shameless woman and teased your husband" I said, standing before Niken.

"You're a seductress, I've always disagreed with you, but you keep teasing my son even until you get divorced you keep teasing him!" my mother-in-law snapped while looking at me with her sharp gaze.

"Divorce, did Mom's son say we were officially divorced. Inside this envelope were important letters proving that I was the legal wife of Mas Niko" I said, throwing the envelope into Niken's chest.

Slowly Niken began to open the brown envelope I gave her. There are some important letters that prove that Mas Niko and I are still legal husband and wife. The curious Sarah immediately pulled the letters from the hands of her favorite daughter-in-law.

"If I wanted to I could sue you legally, for being married without my permission, but you'd rest easy I wouldn't do that. You can take the letter and take care of my divorce with Mas Niko" I said, staring at Niken and Sarah.

"This must be a gift from my husband, where maybe poor people like you can buy things this expensive," said Niken while pulling a listening device in Luna's ear.

"It hurts Auntie!" luna shouted while holding her ear.

"You may insult me, but never hurt my daughter" I said, holding Niken's hand and looking at her intently.

"Take off my daughter-in-law's hand, or I'll report you to the police" my mother-in-law threatened.

"Police, please Mom report me because I happen to be reporting to your family, too" I replied, turning to threaten Sarah.

"Niken we better get out of this place," Sarah asked, holding Niken's still silent hand.

I immediately invited Luna into the room. The neighbors who had been standing in front of my house one by one returned to their homes. After taking Luna to take a nap I immediately took back the phone that I had put on the living room table.

"There are 3 incoming messages" I said as I turned on the screen on my phone.

Seen some incoming messages on behalf of the editor of one of the paid writing applications. He said if my work made it in and got a contract signature. The surprised me sat down and began to shed tears.

"O Allah is this true, it seems that later in the afternoon I have to go to Miss Santi's house to meet Mia," my inner self while staring at my mobile screen.

"Assalamualaikum," I said while knocking on Miss Santi's house.

"Waalaikumsalam, uh Rani and Luna. Come on, come on in" replied Mia as she let us in and sat down on the sofa.

"Who's coming, son!" santi asked as she shouted from inside the kitchen.

"Mbak Rani is with Luna Ma" Mia replied with a slight shout.

Not how long Miss Santi came out with a tray containing several glasses of drinks and snacks for Luna. After putting down the tray, Miss Santi sat down next to my daughter. He immediately helped Luna peel the snack in front of us.

"What's Rani coming here, not today's Rani's holiday?" mia asked curiously.

"Yes Ma'am, I'm here to ask for a short message that I received last afternoon," I said while giving a cellphone to Mia.

"Short order, I see yes Ma'am," Mia's permission as she began to open the phone I gave her.

"Order what Mi?" ask Miss Santi to Mia.

"Alhamdulillah Mbak, the script that Mbak sent to one of the online platforms was received, I checked first in the application yes," Mia replied with a happy feeling.

"Alhamdulillah, finally you can get a better life Rani," said Miss Santi while rubbing my shoulder.

"Alhamdulillah ma'am" I replied with teary eyes.

While waiting for Mia who was checking my writing application. Ms. Santi invited me and Luna to taste the drinks served. While I was enjoying the drink in front of me, Miss Santi suddenly asked about the hearing device that is usually attached to Luna's ear.

"Rani, Luna's hearing device where it is not," asked Bu Santi while watching Luna's ears.

"That tool ..." I was silent for a moment because there was a sense of hesitation to answer Miss Santi's question.
